I noticed when I'm not near the device the app won't work while I'm not at home. Will it hold the same schedule while I'm away from home? Is it possible to buy a dedicated remote for these or is it just with the app? Thank you
Are there any plans towards putting out a new safety cage for these LumenIZE kits since the old LampGuard Pro cage for the T5s doesn't fit them? I would love to upgrade and have app-controlled, dimmable UVB for my snake, but in a hardtop enclosure with lighting elements inside, it simply isn't safe without a properly fitting safety cage.
Currently trying to change over my tortoise food to this as a base, (aside from usual gathered goodies wild). He’s being a tinker at the moment. Stubborn with changes hehe
Hi! I'm planning to buy a uvb bulb for my leopard gecko, but I can't decide which one I should get; the shadedweller 7% or the max 2.5%? My leopard gecko's enclosure is 100cm x 50cm and the regular 7% shadedweller is only 34cm. Isn't that too short? Or would it be fine? Or should I get the 60cm max one? What would you recommend?
Hi, if your distance to basking is 10-12" from the lamp to the animal, and for your species the 8w ShadeDwellerPro 7% is the right choice. You can also have this with LumenIZE of course and increase visible light with the LED Bar. There is no need to have 'max' for your species.
Generally not, not unless they bask really close to the mesh. Depending on viv size and of course actual distance to basking the 7% 8w lamp is usually used or the 24w D3 6% if there is a mesh and the distance to basking is 12" or more
Hello, I have a sick gecko who refuses to eat at the moment and the Vet recommended to increase the amount of CaMg and Vitamin D (I follow your supplemet guide). My question is if I can add vitamin powders to this gel? I am not sure how much Ca/Mg is already inside and I guess there is no vitamin D powder? Another question is how much longer afer the "best before date" are your vitamin powders good enough to use? I received a powder which was to expire in 3 months after I received it and I still have a lot of it, but I cannot risk giving CaMg to my sick gecko if it is not effective anymore. Thank you for your answer!
Hiya does the higher wattage need to be the 1st in the chain and work down to the lowest or can a higher wattage be linked to a lower wattage if the lower wattage was the fist in the chain ?
Good evening. I was in a rush in my local pet store and bought an e26 halogen heat lamp. I have a standard zoo-med double dome fixture and seems to be more wiggly than usual. Is it sage or is it a fore hazard. Thanks
And if you have only one thermostat to use per enclosure can you run both just during the day and use a day/night timer to shut off at night? Or just having the DHP on a timer for night instead??? I have 7 enclosures and adding an extra $200 dimmable thermostat per enclosure is just not realistic
please make sure that you have Bluetooth switched on and are in range. If you struggle please do write to info@arcadia-reptile.com and we will guide you
I know this a 4yr old video…so I’m hoping someone from Arcadia sees this & answers back lol. I have an 8x4x4 enclosure that’s being built for my peach throat monitor. I already have the Arcadia 4ft pro T5 uvb with a 12% bulb. I also want to get the jungle dawn kit for the enclosure as well. Wondering if I need to get the same size 4ft & what wattage would be good for a 8ft enclosure ?
I have a Luminize System with a T5 Forest D3 lamp (24W). Is the shadedweller better for my ball python (I used the lighting Guide on your website and put the Forest D3 40-45 cm away from the basking spot)? Can I upgrade to the shadedweller using my Lumenize system? Or is the size of the lamps different? My ball python is 10 month old and I barely see her bask until now (I also have a Lumenize jungle dawn LED and a heat lamp from you). Thank you.
HI, you have a 24w fitting and the ShadeDweller-Max is 14w. It would burn out very quickly if you used it in the 24w fitting. IT needs the ShadeDweller-Max fitting :-)
So is this the correct settings if I would like to turn on the light at 06:00 slowly like a normal sunrise and of at 22:00 also slow. At 10:00 would like it to have reached the full effect: 06:00 0% 10:00 100% 22:00 0%
nearly, you need to maintain midday, so add in a slot at say 16:00 at 100%. It will then hold 100% output between 10am and 16:00 and then start to dim.
Could we use a cable leader splitter for regulating them both with a reptitemp thermostat? Otherwise an extra $100+ per enclosure to add dimmer thermostats is a bit out of my price range atm😅
I need help I can’t seem to find the replacement bulbs anywhere and I can’t order on your website because doesn’t deliver to the US and eBay where I got my whole set up don’t have them. If anyone knows a third-party seller, please let me know asap thank you so much…
Hi, great idea much needed. I have it plugged to a smart plug that turns off every night, so in the morning the schedule is not followed, does it restart every time it is switched off power? Is a shame cause i would imagine every time it gets power back it would remember the schedule
It makes no sense using this with a smart plug that turns it off every night when it turns itself off every night. Are you using a smart plug just for the sake of using a smart plug?
It probably will gradually raise the brightness, and get to 100% at 12:00, and maintains 100% till 16:00 then gradually lower the brightness till 20:00.
yes this is right. The data points start or stop a process. If you have 0% at 7am and 100% at 11am, the lamp will be off between the end point and 7am and than slowly increase from being off to full power between 7am and 11am. @@user-hr4hu8xb5f
HI guy, we do not sell product directly at all, so please do email or call the store that you have bought it from directly. It will be from their stock that the item will ship. Best wishes
I followed the instructions in the video, but my lamp turns off a few seconds after I turn it on. I have to twist the lamp again to turn it back on, but it turns off again
Thank for the info! I am getting a 90w x 60t x 45d cm (bioactive) terrarium for a ball python, I live in a hot place with high humidity, will the ShadeDwellerMax increase significantly temperature? Will be better to go for a ShadeDwellerPro?
For anyone struggling with the bulb installation, once you place the bulb into the slots, you rotate the bulb. But don’t stop once it’s rotated a bit. You gotta rotate it a bit more. Don’t be shy about giving it a little more effort. I thought my sht didn’t work but I just didn’t rotate it enough.
unfortunately i am having nothing but issues with my new shadedweller t5 and luminize led. the app is awful and even if you can get it to save your settings, for some reason the lights will come on when theyre supposed to be off? the only way i have gotten around this is adding a time every 30 minutes that it is supposed to be off and having that set to 0.
