Got really into heavy swim jig fishing this past summer and is one of my best confidence lures and 6th sense are seriously the best out there. Heavy rod, 50# braid, grass mutant jig, bulky trailer and some pads and I’m set.
Kevin Lewis the next time you’ll really need to fish deep around here is early post spawn, this link is a video about that, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BU5R57YU93Q.html
You need to know how to swim jig fish- so many spinnerbaits have plastered the cover they spook the fish. The swim jig's stealth/action is the key. Put that rod(s) w/spinnerbaits tied on back in the locker, buy a sack full of 6th Sense swim jigs, follow Billy's advice on technique & trailer choices, hit the lake & teach yourself how to swim jigs. This technique is killer.
Ole b law knows about the swim jigs. And 6th sense is also my favorite to. For big fish here in OK I could get grass mutant in all jig styles and be set for clear water to dirty and adjust trailers and trailer colors as needed for water clarity and be ready to catch some bigs any day of the week! A bream pattern is my go to in a swim jig but I've started throwing more white since I have multiple colors in each size and style anyway.
i'm glad i ran across this vid because of trailers slipping after 2-3 catches or less. i'll either trim the trailer head down and rehook or toss and grab a new one. great vid!
Does the position of the line tie matter? Some are in line with the hook and some are angled up, Some are parallel to the hook and some are perpendicular.
I’ve fished 6th sense swim jigs and the hybrid jigs for a while now with excellent results. This year I’m excited to get the Crankbaits into the water. With the success I’ve had with 6th sense jigs, no doubt it will be a great year of fishing.
