Great review of this new park! It was shocking news to me, and even though it may be a family-oriented park, I'm still super excited! The area in the top left almost looks like a tightly compact coaster, but I'm not planning to get my hopes too high XD!
Bro this is the best video! Thanks for all you hard work I love your videos man! P.S I have a bunch of footage from Six Flags over Texas hurricane Harbor in Arlington and Dollywood. If you ever need some footage I’m also a fully licensed drone pilot and hopefully very soon I’m going to update my catalog with some awesome drone footage of those three dimension parks well probably not Dollywood anytime soon that’s pretty far but as for the Dallas-based Six Flags parks, you can bet on it. Also, I forgot to mention, I have some drone footage of traders Village, and on ride footage of their new roller coaster, Prairie screamer
Hi JB.I’m thrilled the DFW area will have another major theme park! While this Universal Theme Park is going to be more “Family/Kid Oriented”….do you think it will have any any influence upon Six Flags Over Texas having to maybe put in a “New Giga Coaster” or other major coaster to have to indirectly compete for once?
I don't think those are Kung Fu Panda and How to Train Your Dragon areas. That's the Far Far Away with the castle theme and the dragon on the other attraction looks the same as from Shrek.
What you identified as a fort or treehouse next to Jurassic Park/World might be a rollercoaster or log flume. There seems to be lines that weave and cross. Let's just call it Velocoaster Jr. for now.
This is actually 20 minutes away from my house. I also read that they’re not using up all of the 97 acres that they purchased but they’re kind of landlocked there. Hopefully they’ll buy more land nearby for future expansion beyond the 97 acres as that is not a lot for a theme park. The original Disney land was 100 acres including all the back lot areas. And was also landlocked. Still, this is great news and great progress
I think itll start out kid friendly to let us locals get used to it (I live on panther creek and hillcrest). Once they set up i can see them adding bigger rides. Its plenty big rides and parks in the middle of neighborhood and noise not much of issue. Mainly the biggest hassle is traffic.
It won’t be huge like what they have in Orlando. You are correct that the lot is only 97 acres. Per the meeting that they had with the local people concerned about the park, the actual park will be about 1/3 the 97 acres to start, but there will be room left for expansion. That means the actual park will be roughly 32 acres, but could expand to 50-60 acres. With all that said, don’t worry about this being land locked. If this becomes very Popular which I know it will, new parks will happen! They don’t have to be right next to each other. I can see Universal adding an additional park further north one day and don’t count out Disney adding something to the area!
It’s possible. Keep in mind that these are regional parks, so they wouldn’t put one in both Atlanta and Nashville. It would most likely just be Atlanta Phoenix comes to mind as well. I’m not sure if they would go up north due to weather year round, but if they do, I can see Seattle, Minneapolis and somewhere in the Northeast.
Exciting! Exciting! Even though it is not a Disneyland like previous long time, widespread rumor. Universal Studio is in a close level brand! Those are the world cities currently have either/both Disneyland or/and Universal Studio theme park: Paris, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Singapore, Hong kong, Shanghai, China and Beijing, China, Orlando. You can see that most of them are world top 20 cities with high "culture" and high "image". Some of them are the soul of everything of their country.
Appeartly we are not the only ones or the first to get the universal epic park. They are already under construction of one in Florida. There is a you tube video series where someone is showing what's in each are along with blueprints.
Would have LOVED to have seen near Houston, but I'm sure land $$$ a super high there. They DID pull a "Disney" and got it cheap though. Speaking of Disney....likely kicking themselves in the tuchus for not following through with that Urban Legend about 30 yrs. ago.
Little off.... Bottom Right: Trolls Land, you missed the Quick Service Restaurant and Small Dark Ride Top Right: All Shrek Land with Dark Ride Bottom Left: Madagascar with Dark Ride Top Left: Camp Cretaceous (not Jurassic World) with Roller Coaster
According to the press release on jan 11th. The name will be universal studios epic, the Opening date is 2025, the park will be 89 acres or about one third the size of SFOT. But they did say that they have plenty of land for expantion. Yes it will start out as a kids park. But from the vibe I got from the wording in the press release is that could all change pretty quickly.
im hoping that’s true, bc im not sure a kid over the age of 12-13 would want to go to this park if that isn’t the case, im not saying it’s gonna be horrible, just saying that the main target is kids under the age of 10.
But aren't the winters in that part of Texas a little too cold to be having this kind of theme park, or probably their expecting climate change to do its job by 2027.
