I keep watching your STI videos religiously. I’m finally getting my first job, and I’m in a situation where I can financially pay for a 2019 STI and insurance using my full paycheck. I’m so stoked to finally be going after my dream car for over 10 years now. I have an interview tomorrow, and one more 4 days after that. Wish me luck man. I’m dying to get this damn car.
DatRadiantFilly yes sir😁 I’ve had it almost 3 weeks. Got window tint all around a week ago exactly, and literally just finished putting on an un-resonated GrimmSpeed catback like 30 minutes ago. A video of the sound and flybys to come soon since the only video on YT was by GrimmSpeed, and at low ass speeds. Edit: I got a 2019 WRX STi Limited. I absolutely love it!
T Li I don’t feel comfortable answering that man. Sorry. You can google the MSRP and workout just about how much you’ll pay if you’re interested in one though.
Buying a sti in california is so sketchy, most sti owners are teenagers or early 20s with huge loans on them and they usually always beat the piss out of them
Great video man, cool thing with the giveaway. I bought my 2016 STI series.hyperblue in January and I love it. Bought it used with 6900 miles. Best car I have ever owned. Keep up the good work.
I bought one it was all good, and then it started smoking burnt oil and then leaked oil, I brought it back to the Subaru dealership I worked from and they told me to f**k off and fired me, I returned it due to it being within 3 days.
I choose a Mazdaspeed 3 over a WRX any day. But a Mazdaspeed3 against an STI, two different ball games. What year is your Mazdaspeed3? I used to own a 2009, loved the hell out of it!
I used to try and avoid door dings on my STI until one day i came out of the theater (i was parked far away) and when i got to my car someone had sprayed soda and beer ALL OVER IT!! So i would recommend parking far away but somewhere where its pretty visible because people are super disrespectful.
Had a CR-Z when they first came out. Bright red. Was vandalized multiple times a month for the first three months. Learned the "don't park in China, park in England" trick. Be close to other cars but a few spaces away. Not half a lot down. Stopped people messing with my property
I bought a 2016 Focus RS two weeks ago and it ran fine for the first 2 days. All of a sudden I got a code for the tps. Then a code for a camshaft sensor. Turns out the pulley was cutting through the wires. Super mad about it but it’s getting fixed lol. Just making an example that you don’t always find something wrong. Sometimes you just don’t know and then BAM that happens lol. Not going against you just agreeing :)
How many miles were on the car when you bought it? I've been wanting a Hyundai Veloster and for the longest time but I live in New England, so my gut is telling me to go with an STI. Tried looking at a 2017 model today but they didn't have it on the lot. So a question for you... There is a 2017 STi for sale where I live, it has 28,000 miles on it and they are asking $27,500 for it. Does that sound like a decent deal?
Pinyi Zhang , imma test drive it , yea you may be right on the tester part ill just get a hella warranty if i think the car has been abused , you know what im saying
Theres only the viziv concept and nothing official for a new design yet. May get more of this for another year. Which i wouldnt mind cause ill be able to save more on sti deposit. EJ motor for the rumbz
It is extremely reliable provided you dont beat on it. Gotta remember it comes from japan, like mine (canada was manufactured and brought over from Japan) and it also depends what you classify as abuse. Subaru is a weird community, everyone encourage you to mod the car but no one wants to buy a modded one.
if you're planning to buy a used STi, be very careful. 1) ask for all maintenance records 2) check oil dip stick like the entire dip stick to make sure theres no burnt marks or signs of sludge 3) get both leak down and compression test 4) (if you're crazy serious about the car, get an oil analysis) 5) take it to a mechanic (one you trust)
