EVGA has created the Ultimate AMD Motherboard?!?! 

I just wish they would create a full product stack using that BIOS. Just think about it, a $250 motherboard with that kind of user interface would be an instant success even if it's not the best for over-clocks.

This layout makes more sense in terms of airflow. Almost every case has air intake on the front and it blows across the MB, but normally your ram blocks it near the CPU. I'm glad we get to see a new layout.

the ram on the top actually looks freaking awesome and then you got all the cables at the same place to the right making a build look more clean with this mobo

EVGA really seems like one of the few companies in the PC hobby who acutally care for their customers. They almost always release amazing products. Their FTW 3 Ultra cards are so good

As someone who is a huge fan of repairable devices, I really love the extra labeled board, that's a neat inclusion.

I could never afford that board, nor would I ever get my money's worth out of it..... But it is fun to watch these videos and dream a little :)

I'd love to see a "standard" motherboard VS this bad boy. Slap a 5950X on it, but keep using consumer grade cooling gear like an AIO. See how far you can push the CPU and RAM on both boards. I'm actually wondering how much better the EVGA would perform

I would definitely give consideration to the EVGA Dark for AMD in a future build. However, at this point would probably wait for the next generation of processors and chipset.

It should say "EVGA went BACK to AMD?" My 1st motherboard from EVGA was an AMD Socket 939 board.

That bios looks awesome. Wish they'd make some standard "consumer" tier boards with it

Wish they had had a more reasonable product stack, because their rotated connectors and design are great qualities

I just can't wait for the EVGA X570 FTW motherboard. It's cheaper, has more features for the everyday user, all while still keeping the amazing EVGA quality.

I'm glad AMD is getting love, Been tough on my all AMD build through the years to find a motherboard reasonably priced and still feature rich. I sit on a X570 Aorus Elite and it's one of the best boards I've ever owned. It's good on the red side these days.

That in-bios robot oc (this implementation, not the stupid buttons or switches) and stress test should be way more common

I really wish evga would make a $250 version of this board with that awesome bios and features that regular people could use, like a good 12 phase vrm, as opposed to the freaking 20 phase on this Dark board.

Honestly, I'm considering buying this motherboard just for that bios. That oc robot and stress test is amazing. Edit: maybe not at that price but.. Still a great bios

im a bit of an EVGA fan boy so this was so exciting to see..not that i can afford this ultimate enthusiast X570 board but it bodes well for the consumer because this set a precedent, hope to see more AMD boards from them as we head into next gen tech

I have two EVGA Nforce 680i sli motherboards and they are still going strong all these years later

It's about time EVGA starts making AMD based motherboards. Now if only I could get my hands on a graphics card from them, then I could complete my all EVGA computer.

I totally love how EVGA makes the angled 24 PIN power delivery :D That alone is enough reason to buy it.

I would highly consider one if they made a lower version for mild overclocking. That bios is killer for sure.

XOC is not really my use case, so I can't justify a $600 motherboard. Looks Hella neat though.

This is actually a big deal. I can't believe it either. Alright Jay, its time, do a skunkworks type build with this thing if EVGA will let you.

This MB, combined with appropriate complimentary hardware, is my dream MB. This is just a plainly beautiful beast of silicon and metals.

Thank you EVGA for finally re-inventing the board setup for a more simple wiring setup and more efficient power delivery. I can't tell you how much I can't stand the modern standards of today's motherboard setups.

I would love more trimmed down versions of EVGA's "Dark" motherboards just to have the same BIOS. That BIOS is so good.

Wow. All my years in the industry and I always looked away from EVGA boards and most of my personal builds are AMD or intel Xeon based workstations... This is indeed very intuitive BIOS EVGA. This is how you make an AMD Board and this is how you make your First Motherboard. Great Job EVGA! The amount of time it saves being able to stress test inside the bios cannot be understated.

Seeing the new and last Am4 CPUs AMD releasing now are incredible, i might just make a build with this board

As a brand EVGA kind of let me feeling 'meh' with my 3090 FTW3 & a whole RMA experience... But motherboard wise I enjoy seeing this kind of attention to detail & quality, definitely looking forward to seeing more AMD boards from them. Obviously this board is for a certain demographic. That said, it's exciting because it opens up the possibility for a new line of boards under them that isn't only for world-class overclocking (likely LN2) stuff like this one lol. Think, an Asus Hero but improved & made better in most areas. It's a win for consumers. My first & longest purchase from EVGA was a pair of 980s (yeah, remember those lol). Bit of an opinion but I've always enjoyed their "less is more" in the way of color schemes, the all blacked out PCB, just aluminum, no tacky random colors for "Epic", "Extreme" etc. Is nice.

Seeing this really makes me miss the overclocking content! It was always so enjoyable and interesting to watch

100% would buy this board if it had more than like 6 USB. Gimme at least 8-10.. why is that so much to ask for more USB than an ITX board?

EVGA always have a nice thought out very esthetic products and I'm glad they are dipping into the AMD pool. I hope they get into AMD graphics cards too at some point. I'd really consider buying those in my next upgrade round.

I've had EVGA units before and lasted 10+yrs... Glad to see they stepped up to AMD.. What needs to be done is their temps on their components so we all can compare to Godlike & Tomahawk, etc...

a be quiet tower cooler on that board with that big heat sync and a vertical mounted GPU would make that board look sooo aggressive and i can wait to see what you do with it

Honestly having a beefy power delivery means you don't have to cool it as much. The beefier the VRM the less heat it's going to produce. That being said, can't wait for mine to get here in the next few days

Mosfets for the CPU are still on the left side, which makes the "shorter runs" invalid for the CPU power. I think its rather that its cleaner when working with pots on the cpu

I've never related more to a youtuber than when Jay opens the envelope, reads "Install guide" and throws it away.

the little display for Post problems should be standard on every board it would be really nice to have some feed back especially when your already built rig has bean working for over a year and then decides to not Post.

I got the MSI x570 Godlike because it was the only Motherboard which can support 4 slot SLI for my air cooled 3090s. One of the most loaded motherboard for the x570.

Year 2022 - This video got recommended after EVGA left Nividia. Let's hope they go full AMD GPUs

I never really cared about Dark Series. I enjoy living vicariously through other people to see them overclock. But it's not a product for me. But I look foward to Jay doing some LN2 overclocking on this board some time soon

It is NOT EVGA's FIRST AMD MoBo, they had made some before. Have a deep look in their history ;)

The beefy radiator that's between the two 16x PCI-e slots, are designed to cool the m.2 drives that can be installed underneath it.

i love that they move the eps header, that really helps since it's a pita to get to it when you have a rear fan and aio top mounted rad installed but then why the hell did they put the usb port for the bios flashback up top, when it will be covered by your top mounted rad? So now if you want to update your bios you have to remove your rad everytime, unless you have a bigger case like an 011 Dynamic.

What I'm mostly interested in motherboards these days is actually how fast they can handle the mobo portion of boot time. With modern SSDs and a lightweight OS, the OS boots in 2 seconds flat... but only after a 30 seconds of combined POST, splashscreens and bootstrap time. We should be doing better, boot times are massively bottlenecked by the mobo now, not the hard drive, yet it's not even measured in reviews or sales specs.

EVGA has neglected ITX for way too long , they are missing many potential customers since SFF popularity is growing every day !

Now I want to see an EVGA Radeon RX 7000 series or maybe 8000.

Love the tweaking on the bios without jumping into other settings to get to ram etc... extra steps wish it was like that on other motherboards

I have 6 x570 dark heroes running in the office and I love those ....but this dark one from evga has something to it....that bios is really a winner...

I'd love to see a B550 version of this board, for the vast majority of us gamers who don't need the X570 features. A cheaper price and no whiny chipset fan would be an insta-buy for my next system.

I understand the excitement about Evga making an AMD motherboard but call me when they make a Radeon GPU. I've never had a problem with ASUS motherboards which I've used since the AMD Athlon "Game Cartridge" CPUs. BtW, ASUS just released a whole line (4 boards, from Crosshair VIII down) of new "Windows 11" compatible X570 motherboards...

For my x570 Build I went for the x570 Aorus Xtreme because it seemed to be the only board with Armor and I prefer my motherboards with armor. But I want this one as well for my Caselabs Builds !

According to the user guide, you can use 32GB DDR4 DIMMs with this motherboard The X570 DARK supports DualChannel DDR4 memory, a maximum of 64GB and up to 4800MHz+ (OC). It is recommended to always use a 2 DIMM Dual Channel kit for the X570 DARK. Fill the memory slots in the following order: 2, then 1. See chart to the right:

Hey Jay, while you’re on the topic of over locking, do you have or will you do a video on something like Ryzen Master?

traditionally when USB 3 ports first came out and they had the feature SCSI over USB in the standard. Your asus mainboard came with a driver disc that when installed the SCSI driver for USB 3 off the CD ROM your USB port worked super fast and perfect. If I downloaded and installed drivers from the asus website or the internet the USB port would have occasional disconnect errors and devices which needed more power than say a USB mouse would seem to disconnect and reconnect every few minutes and have their power LED lights blink off and on often and file transfers were a fraction the proper speed. I believe its still the case today but its maybe only in australia and australias not quite the internet.

despite the economic crisis i still think this is a right time to start up an investment

actually i expected much more when you said "its pricey, its very pricey", its actually cheaper than a formula or extreme lol.

I'm really happy to see a quality board for AMD products get made, now if they continue doing this with lower price point boards and there are no issues with quality then this will probably be my go to board brand when I make an AMD build sometime in the future (we'll see how prices change in the next 2-3 years here lol).

Also, Jay, nubbin, on the C7H onwards, the voltage readout reported by the Asus sensor is exactly accurate, they've corrected that issue by using a voltage controller output function that uses feedback sense instead of just target reporting. Confirmed by many people using multimeters on sense points.

I like the Bios Setup programing, it is simple. Right, the high price for the Motherboard, maybe one day, not today though.

My first good board was an EVGA AMD board, EVGA nForce 590a AM2 for Athlon dual core CPUs. This was 2005-2006 roughly.

My first EVGA products were the nForce 590 SLI main board for AMD and dual 9800GTXs. Been using them ever since.

That test bench set up out of the box is pretty cool. The RAM tuning is pretty cool.

I have never had better kit than the kit EVGA makes, especially when it comes to motherboards, I still have a system based on an EVGA 780i mobo running for 15 years and still going strong, no blown caps, no busted interfaces etc.

My turn just came up in the EVGA queue for this one. Plan on waiting for the new 3d version of the 5950x to pair with it along side the 3090 Kingpin. Eventually I will have my own 0 compromises computer (as long as having to wait several months for parts is not considered a compromise).
