And they dont want people gathering but multiple families will be gathering under one roof to get thru this... and thats if they hv family/friends who can help
Yes. The Government has absolute control where they want it.. They want people to be solely dependent on any type of welfare system, and just like the Prison system, you will never get ahead. You will be sucking at the teat of the Government they hope, for the rest of your life. Americans need to wake up and start acting like a free people. They hate that. Until we change, enslavement will always be here in America🔥🙌🏻
Foreclosure of course. Its a big monopoly game being played by the people with all the power and billions of dollars, to get complete control of everyone else. They aim to take and own everything , the housing, the food, water , electric...they will spoon feed it back to us provided we comply. Already passports, permission to move freely, access to food pantries, furloughs or incentives are only being given in return for vaccinnes and conformity.
Unfortunately it's a lose/lose situation for both landlord & tenant. If everyone would take the muzzles(masks) off & stand up for their rights SAY NO to lockdown we can take our country back. We are letting a small percent of rich elite control the majority which is the ppl.
Exactly. I used to be a landlord and not getting my rent simply wasn't an option. I needed that money. If you couldn't pay you got evicted. I would have lost my house if I was a landlord now..
Right! Don't drag me down with YOU. I took a loss and booted 2 tenants who claimed they were waiting on protection money. Why wait when I've got a dozen emails wanting to rent at almost double?
@@goldenfury7231 so noone should rent their property to other people? If your claiming the landlord you must believe in slavery. Landlord is providing a service and not getting paid. So you get your income from other people and I'm betting you use that money to pay for other people to do any repairs. Do you actually do any work? If you got bills go get a job.

You were allowed to quit due to fear of covid, if you lived with someone who has an autoimmune disease or is elderly, if you had to stay home with children because school closed. A few other reasons too.
As a single mother of 4 boys. I have faced fear this year like no other. And schools remaining closed I'm unable to work. I have no options, there aren't any.
There are always options. A lot of companies are hiring ppl work from home and they provide the computer. Do a youtube search. Many videos posted of jobs. Two chicks with a side hustle and deliah bell chanels etc

As a CNA the jobs are unlimited in my state thank goodness I have been able to keep my Job ,but like she said she has to take care of her kids but also in my state they help with childcare
When the first stimulus package was passed, everyone who lost their job due to covid got an extra 600 every week until June. Did these people even bother to pay their rent? A lot of people just took advantage of the pandemic to not pay their rent even though they could pay it. Why would any landlord keep tenants with such malintent? It's one thing to lose your job, but not making any efforts to pay at least what you can, will stand against you in housing court.
That's actually not true. The additional 600 dollars determines on the state that you live in. In Texas, it was only 300 additional dollars, and it was very inconsistent. Some people got it, some people didn't my self included. My unemployment looked like this per pay period: 2,000-> 1800-> 1600-> 938->-800->600. As you can see the amount i received per pay period varied GREATLY, and each time, the amount I received got smaller and smaller. I only received the additional covid relief money for the first 3 payments. That's it. And as you can see none of those amounts are enough to pay rent. And I don't even have kids. I can't imagine if I had mouths to feed.
I am a landlord who has a tenant who is using this law as excuse. He worked all the time and has even bought a new car , while I a senior citizen, have to allow him to stay for free.

I feel sorry for the renters but I also understand the landlords have to pay bills to and the bank will take the property if they don't pay their bills.
In California, the state or a non-profit agency have first right to purchase foreclosures. So nice neighborhoods will become government housing slums. Great job... Biden or Harris or Obama or whoever is pulling the strings.
Whats really sick is the banks get bail outs from the tax payer when things start to crumble, there is no "government money" it's the publics money, when they print vast amounts of it (like they've been doing of late) it's just a debt that that the public will have to pay back in the future through taxes and inflation, most of it ends up in the hands of the rich as corporations sell debt to governments driving the stock prices up, so investors in the stock market have effectively been skimming money from your tax payments. When people are desperate and scared they'll agree to almost anything, even things like monitoring and demands for producing papers to verify your medical records. We need separation of economy and state, I can tell you the answer right now, we need a decentralised money, a money that can't be printed by a handful of people, the answer is bitcoin. You're gonna have to learn about it yourself, you and only you can take steps to understand the economy and the ludicrous system by which its run and take counter measures to protect your freedom and your life
... If the landlord doesn't pay the taxes and bills on the property, the landlord will no longer own the building. They aren't going to have a home anyway. The bank or the government that takes position of the building will evict the "Squatters" on trespassing chargers and have them arrested.
I agree. If the government wants to shut everything down, everything should be placed on hold equally for tenants and landlords. Frankly, there should be no back owed on both sides since these institutions are making a fortune on the interest alone.
@Proud Beefeater lol... what a ridiculous response! A pandemic happened, and granted some are taking advantage! But still landlords shouldn’t purchase property or properties that they can’t afford! Don’t purchase property solely for the purpose of putting it Section 8 - just to have tax payers payoff your loan! The old saying - Don't “Bite Off More Than You Can Chew”
@Proud Beefeater some scumbag greedy owners and predatory lending from financial institutes! When owner get their rent money- they should save as much as possible and paid off loans ASAP! Things happen in life and you maybe on the other end one day! Out of work because of an illness etc!
Landlords can also evict tenants claiming they want to live in the house themselves. The judge will grant that. A friend charged a lady $800 a month for a nice home. He could have charged a lot more. She did not pay for 8 months. Not one penny. She got a $9,000 back payment that she had been waiting on. She went out and bought a newer car. He evicted her. She did not show up so the sheriffs arrived to set all her stuff out on the streets. She had the money to get caught up but chose to buy another vehicle. Any back unemployment or government help should be going straight to the landlords. One landlord rented out the other side of his duplex and utilities were included. The couple didn't pay for over six months. The utilities got shut off. They threatened to sue. He told them, go ahead, they shut off mine too, you aren't paying rent. Realizing they had no foothold, they moved a few days later. He got a judgment against them for back rent and it went on their credit report. They wrote him a nasty letter that they can't get a home loan now because of the judgment. So, playing games bit them in the ass hard.

Many people are not working so they are home with their kids. I live in a rural area and there is not much else I can do because I am disabled
Plenty of homeless actually do work. Several of those homeless in my city of Charlotte have jobs and took lower paying jobs when they lost their jobs. Problem is, the pricing of housing is too expensive in most places. Add in the fact that finding another job takes a while and you’re evicted by then. Then you try to rent when you get another job, but you have an eviction on your record and no one wants to rent to you. Happens a lot. How about the damn government raises the federal minimum wage to a livable wage. Minimum wage is still $7.25 in NC and yes, many adults make that. You cannot survive on that money. Even working 40-50 a week.
My thoughts exactly! It's time for people to look into alternative lifestyles. Purchase a used camper, build out a van or bus. Some form of shelter is better than being completely homeless with absolutely no light at the end of the tunnel, right?
Five of our tenants had problems paying in 2020. Four of them applied for government assistance to make it through. We have one couple, though, who haven't paid more that $500 from February 2020 to February 2021. The taxes on the property are more than that. So basically, we are supporting this young couple. We will be forced to sell the property at some point, but you know the new owner will not be willing to provide free housing to this couple.
The young lady said she stopped working on her own/ no one force her out of work/therefore she planned to not pay and just live there rent free 🙏🏾/ If she wanted to quit her job/ she should have moved in with a family member for the safety of making sure her children had a place to live.
Since when did the CDC have the authority to intervene in private business matters? Why do you have to make an effort to pay your rent first in order to qualify for the CDCs declaration if it’s being made due to health reasons not economic reasons? If you’re not in financial strains or make more than $99k/year then you aren’t at risk of spreading covid so it’s ok to evict you? The CDC is acting like a government and not like a center for disease control.
Also remember this they put something in law that if you have a eviction it would become 5 to 10 times harder to being able to rent again. Pure cynicism and wickedness.
And if you have a criminal record you can be denied a stay on your eviction and no approval on an new lease. So where you going to go - the streets of course.
My problem is what the hell was she thinking. Quit your job to take care of your kids. Working is taking care of them. Just another person think they don't have to pay rent. Sorry for the kids.
There is no filtering process to confirm if they are really in loss of a job, landlords also will end up losing money if they arent receiving rent, they still have to pay the water and electricity and trash bills, landlords can also end up with no property wich will end up where the tenant will be put out anyways. So there is a problem here, there isn't a filtering process to really know who can not be evicted, any tenant can stop paying rent, and no filtering if they really have a job or not.
It’s Americans. Let everyone live for free off of another. 🙄 Next they will squat in the homes and own them. Strange how people with no property to rent want others to allow people to live for free in theirs. Let the shoe be on the other foot! These landlords have bills too!!!!!! There are many people who lost job but also there are many who don't want to work. My office and my husband's workplace can't find people to work even though they up the pay. My husband just got in the US the beginning of pandemic, got a job at Walmart making minimum wage. In 10 months he got raise twice and finally promoted to be a department manager/supervisor. In just that 10 months he made almost twice since he began. The second shift as sticker pays $17/hour and they couldn't find anyone to fill in the job. The same thing at my office. My manager kept complaining, they couldn't find anyone who wanted to work. If they wanted the job, they asked too much with no experience. One job lost, took months to get filled. At my office and my husband's workplace, there are so many vacancies the whole pandemic and now. I was furlough for 2 months last year, I made twice more being at home but the minute my boss asked me to come back to work, I came back to work right away. And just a couple months ago, I got a raise. People who choose to stay at home collecting now will have a gap in their work experience. Once the help is over, everyone wants a job while the economic recovery will be very slow. People will fight for the same job. Get a job ASAP now when you can.

All those months of not paying rent they will never be able to pay it back.

Apparently, you don't know your history. In the old days, this nation almost had a revolution because people were staving. It was only after the New Deal that many white Americans were able to rise above their class (blacks were lockout). Rent control, a living minimum wage, low-cost college, public housing, the GI Bill, public control of utilities, etc were just some of the things that helped people get by. Back then, there was a sense that the Government was there to help the citizens- not for private contractors to make a profit. Now, we have ignorant selfish people that don't question how the government system is being run that pit people against each other. The days of the shandies town of the 1930s will be back.
I wish some people in these situations would at least start a go fund me because there are people willing to give even if it’s just $5 here or there. It still adds up.
Someone had adviced me to keep my previous house 3 years ago as a rental instead of selling it, I said f* no, f* being a landlord, I'm glad i sold it :).
I know in Ca. You have to post and serve and eviction. Then if it's done correctly the tenant has to "answer" the notice and contest it. Then you can buy yourself some time before you can legally be thrown out legally.
This is good. If the government does not provide the rent to the landlords then evictions should be happening on a round the clock basis. People found out there was an eviction ban and stopped paying their rent. Show me the rented being evicted who went to the landlord and said look I lost my job etc and I can pay you half or 2/3 the rent and were evicted. Didn't happen. Most of these people stopped paying as soon as they heard eviction ban.
So many people able to pay their rent stopped paying because of this Eviction Moratorium and bought all kinds of non-essential items like TV's, gaming consuls, cars, rims for their cars among other thing. I was in the process of buying a house when the pandemic started; I still payed my rent when it was due. I could have easily just stopped paying and used that money for my new home to get it truly the way I wanted it, but I didn't, I payed my rent unlike many of my neighbors, who now owe more than ten thousand dollars in back rent.
i had to also leave my apartment my landlords raise my rent i couldn't stay in my studio yes i staying with my sister inlaw i praying i get apartment again
It’s not fair for some who really do need it to survive, but it amazes me that most have the $$$ for lash extensions (not cheap), nails done, hair done, etc., but cry they can’t make some payment towards rent. I work 3 Jobs to make ends meet and I don’t surrender to my “wants” cause the “needs” come first! Put priorities in order!!!
People, you really need to learn the laws so that you can write affidavits and file them yourselves!!!! When the governor of your state enters a moratorium, it’s like a executive order!!!! They are required to obey it!!!! If not, you can file a claim against them and win!!!! You can also enter a Injunctive Relief!!!!
Walt Lonsdale Then the Judge will be in violation of Judicial Canon law. Also, that’s a violation of separation of powers. Just like if the president gives a Executive Order that does not violate existing law(s), even the Supreme Court won’t overturn because it won’t be a judicial matter, only a political one. And being a political one, they’ll just say let the Executive Branch handle it. With state governors, same thing. When a Governor orders a rental eviction moratorium due to an emergency at no fault of the people, he/she are not violating law because what they’re doing are within the scope of law. In closing, it comes down how to apply the laws, knowing how the separation of powers, and doing so to ensure each individual within the three branches follow them.
In California, people can be evicted for certain issues, other than non-payment due to COVID. They can also be evicted for issues BEFORE March 2020. So evictions have been filed all year long. Now the valid ones are being addressed and judges ARE issuing evictions.
@@paulk9985 My point is, if one knows the system, REGARDLESS what system it is, they can prolong the issue and even flat out beat it!!!! Anything made by man or woman as way of legislation, one can always find a loophole.
Normally I would agree with you but there are people willing to work but have no job to go to due to many circumstances of the pandemic ...that said many of these tenants are still working and did not pay because they thought they could get away with it
it's NOT a federal order. cdc has no legal right or constitutional right to issue an eviction moratorium. cdc is about as federal as the federal reserve which not federal nor has any reserves. and fyi landlords, u can evict if the lease is up on a 30 day notice.

Nails had to be short and preferably no colored polish...just clear. No dangly jewelry...just a wedding band and maybe some stud earrings but no hoops. I digress.
As a landlord, I had a one year bank cushion in that account to pay mortgage and expenses. As a renter, I could have gone five or six years with no income and been fine. It's cool when the government can help people out, but as this shows there are always wrinkles and exceptions.
One great thing about this eviction problem, across the nation: SO MANY PEOPLE WHO USED TO look down on others for being evicted or homeless, never wondering if they could help or what happened; just judging and shaming others ARE NOW the ones experiencing the problem. Because people have been being unlawfully evicted and forced into homelessness... Or losing jobs and income unexpectedly or due to health reasons and being unfairly evicted. But Many people who are now protesting never gave a d***. And now they get to enjoy the abusive housing practices that they let become the american standard.
That’s sad. But people have this misperception land lords are rich. We took it in the shorts helping people. We were small business owners. Big mortgage. High interest. We eventually lost our home and business giving people breaks. I also lost 20 years of my retirement. So people need to realize we have a lot to lose too. Terrible night mare. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!
I feel bad for both, yes we should have compassion, but no one ends up in this situation overnight. The government should have put a hold on all mortgages for land owners as well as all rent and mortgage payments for renters who make under a certain amount. We bailed the banks out back in 2008. They can take a pause on collecting loans and loan fees during a freaking PANDEMIC!
