I am British living in England and I was 17 at the time of the assassination. The very minute I saw on the news that Ruby had killed Oswald, even as a teenager, I never believed that Oswald did it, and certainly not that he was working alone. Nothing that came out later about who Ruby was, and nothing in the decades since have altered my mind. Quite the contrary.

Doesn't matter who actually pulled the trigger, our Intelligence Community was responsible. Either directly or in their failure to prevent it. So they are either corrupt or incompetent, in any case they need to be stripped of their duties and we should start over. Our Federal law enforcement is rotten to the core, current events are proving this true.

The greatest coverup in American history. Oswald himself said it best.... " I was a patsy".

At the age of 89 I never believed the Warren Commission, at the time or now, and I never met anyone who did believe it. Ruby was extremely well known by every local cop as the local head of the mafia. Yet he got into Police headquarters armed.

I was 13 years old, used to come home after school and when JFK did a news conference, it was pure joy- The day of the assassination is still one of the worst for this once teenager.

Ruby came down with a case of that mysterious fast-acting cancer which has plagued a number of other potential witnesses, government actors, people with close connections, and agent provocateurs; not only in this case ... but in a number of others, as well. Nothing to see here, though, folks.

Ruby just said why he killed Oswald, because of the people around him that would benefit from it and he would not be vindicated. This was just ONE of many cover-ups in the history of our government. This was 1963, how bad is it now??????

The assassination of Kennedy was a text book "cover your tracks" scenario when Ruby shot Oswald, who was not supposed to have gotten caught. With Oswald in custody there was no way the planners of the crime could allow him to be interrogated so enter Jack Ruby who had a checkered past which could be used as leverage against him and would have access to get close enough to Oswald to take him out. Otherwise, what motive would Ruby have for killing Oswald therefore ruining his life unless someone put him up to it.

Ruby had strong ties to the mob. Oswald wasn't just killed, he was silenced!

Poor Oswald was a deer in the headlights of history. I certainly believe him when he said "I didn't shoot anyone, no sir!" The media, as it turned out, was very selective in publicizing Ruby's comments. He was widely quoted as as saying he killed Oswald to spare Jackie a trial, but everything else he said - things like "If Adlai Stevenson was VP this whole thing wouldn't have happened" - were, of course, ignored.

Just looking at the parade route is a tip off that there was a conspiracy; open windows, a kink in the parade route, minimal secret service. I think it's interesting that at the first shot, Johnson hit the floor of his limo (when most people thought it was a firework) and Connelly exclaimed, "They're going to kill us all!" What did these men know?

Oh yeah, Ruby who had mob connections, who the Kennedy's back stabbed, was just so upset that someone killed Kennedy he had to go shoot him. I'm still amazed everyday at the stupidity of people.

the paraffin test was positive for nitrates found in the ink in the books and boxes he had been loading by hand on to carts to be shipped out but the test was negative for gun shot residue this means two things he had not washed his hands to remove the nitrates and he did NOT fire a rifle or pistol that day

Ruby is a fascinating person. His mob connections are indisputable. He was an FBI informant. And all three agencies including the CIA and Secret Service were aware of Oswald and yet no one thought they should tail him on the day of the parade or have the windows shut on the parade route at the most obvious point. Either they are incompetent or corrupt. Your choice. I think a little of both. But Ruby? He practically spent the weekend at the police station and everyone there knew him. They knew he was a pimp and part of the mob, and yet they didn't even try to stop him. Actually, they enabled his opportunity. Having the entire exchange covered by dozens of media figures? A wide-open garage? with 50 people or more there? Unforgivable. They have no credibility whatsoever.

Let’s not forget that Dorothy Kilgallen was interviewing Jack Ruby about the assassination and she was found dead in her home under suspicious circumstances!!

I believe Oswald was supposed to be killed by the police when they found him after shooting a Dallas police officer. Unfortunately for the planners of this situation, Dallas police department followed protocol and arrested Oswald which caused a new situation that had to be dealt with quickly. This is where Ruby comes in.

Aquilla Clemons said TWO men were there when Tippit was shot...neither of whom resembled Oswald . Then 2 days later an investigator came and said she should NOT tell anyone or she might get hurt. No conspiracy, huh?

Also in question is the "source" of Ruby's cancer! He did, in wanting to be taken securely, to D.C. indicate he was in fear of his life. He said too many people had too many ways to kill him!

And, the paraffin test would have shown gunshot residue as a result of Officer Tippet’s murder as well. That murder left no time for a clean up when he was arrested at the movie theater. Impossible!

Here's one for you ...when does a head fly backwards and part of that head lands behind the body...when shot from behind, doesn't happen.

So JFK was allegedly shot by Oswald. Then before Oswald could talk, Ruby shot Oswald. Then before Ruby could talk, he died in jail. Nothing going on here folks!

The one question that remains unanswered is: Why did someone who [allegedly] assassinated the president of the US and [allegedly] killed without reason officer Tippit have to go into a movie house and see a movie he had not seen? This makes Lee Harvey Oswald one of the most peculiar "assassins" in the history of crime.

Oswald was executed to keep the truth from coming out. He and Jack Ruby knew each other very well. There are many eye witnesses that saw them together at a wide variety of venues.

I have studied this case for several years I have seen hundreds if not thousands of documentaries about this case. I just hope that I will get all the information and all of the details of what actually happened 11-22-1963 before I pass away.

One thing I've heard is that a police officer went into the school book depository immediately after the shots were fired where he encountered Oswald in the breakroom several floors down from the place he supposedly fired from. In this account it stated that Oswald would not have had enough time to reach the breakroom by the time the officer arrived had he fired the shots. Has this account been verified either way?

Oswald did his best to remain silent on his CIA/FBI connections and involvement. He kept saying he was waiting for someone to "come forward and provide legal assistance". I think he was wondering why his handlers hadn't cleared the whole matter up already behind closed doors. So when he said, "I'm just a patsy", I believe he misspoke. I believe he meant to use the word "scapegoat", because he had been in Russia. Ironically, a patsy was precisely what he actually was.

I was surprised on reading the Report how biased against Oswald it felt....as those his guilt was a foregone conclusion. I was a young child when all this happened, and I've always questioned Ruby killing Oswald as a patriotic act from the day it occurred.

Oswalds finger prints were never found on the Carcano rifle. A partial palm print was found on the gun AFTER his death. Would he have time to wipe down the rifle and get down to the lunchroom before the cop and supervisor showed up?

About Jack Ruby -> His real name was Jacob Leon Rubenstein... which he had legally changed to Jack Ruby, less than a year before he shot Oswald.

It's possible that maybe Oswald was exactly what he said he was a patsy! Oswald was supposed to be a communist and a defecter who went to the Soviet union if he was communist what was he doing in the Marine Corp? In the Marines Communists would be shot by a firing squad! I believe that when he went to Russia the government sent him over there and when he was a marine Oswald was taught the Russian language they wouldn't do that unless they were training you for a job! Amazingly, they were so positive that Harvey was the only shooter that LBJ felt perfectly safe enough to hang around for over two hours until a judge could be found so that he could be sworn in on Texas soil. In the famous picture of LBJ being sworn in the chief of the Dallas Police dept is in the photo behind him, He's the one to the right of LBJ with the glasses on, if you look close he doesn't look very happy with or fond of LBJ, Whats going on? Why is he there? Why isn't he out looking for possible accomplices? How did he know there was nothing to worry about, and he didn't need to be at his job ???

I can't imagine the ongoing pain to the Kennedy family.

The logical question would be : how could Ruby be so sure that Oswald was murderer ? He was still just a suspect ?

Several things are either distorted or just flat out ignored that prove that 1) there was more than one shooter, and 2) Oswald was not one of the shooters. This does not mean that I believe that Oswald was not involved. I am quite convinced that Oswald was involved, but just was not one of the shooters. 90 seconds - The first officer to breach the Book Depository immediately recognized the shots as gunfire when others were still questioning if it was fireworks. It took that officer 90 seconds from the final shot to find Oswald in the 2nd floor cafeteria. There is no way physically possible that Oswald made it from the 6th floor sniper nest to the 2nd floor cafeteria in 90 seconds; especially when taking into account that the spent cartridges were found neatly side by side on the window sill; the rifle had no fingerprints meaning that it had to be thoroughly wiped down; and he had to cross the building from the sniper nest to the stairs and again from the stairs to the cafeteria, utilized the soda machine, and open the Coca-Cola that he was drinking when found. Brain matter on trunk - everyone has seen the footage of the headshot that ends with Jackie on the trunk and Agent Clint Hill climbing on the back of the car and ushering her back into the seats. According to the Warren Report, there were 4 testimonies explaining why Jackie was on the trunk. The testimonies were from Clint Hill, Jackie, and the motorcycle cops on either side of presidential limo. All 4 testimonies made the same claim, that Jackie was on the trunk to retrieve brain matter. The laws of physics dictate that if shot from behind, the brain matter would have been found in the front seat of the limo, not on the trunk. Flurry of shots - Both agents in the front seat of the lime testified that they heard a flurry of bullets passing overhead at the time of the headshot. The word flurry indicates not one, but multiple shots fired at almost the exact same time. Multiple shots mean multiple shooters. 3 shots? - The one thing that we hear over and over is that there were only 3 shots. One round was the "magic" bullet that hit both JFK and Gov Connelly. A second was the bullet fragments from the head wound, and the third disintegrated on the pavement when it missed the target. However, new evidence has come about that the head wound fragments may have come from as many as 3 different rounds (www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/05/070517142528.htm). And the entire case of how many rounds is based on audio evidence. What this evidence fails to take into account is the lack of acoustics from additional rifles that possibly could have utilized silencers. For those who want to argue against silencers, the silencer was invented by Hiram Maxim JR, the son of the inventor of the modern machine gun, in 1901, and silencers were well available in the 1960s. This is just a short listing of evidence that disproves Oswald being a lone gunman. An entire book can be written about how the evidence does not add up to Oswald being a gunman at all or even acting alone. The only thing the evidence can prove is Oswald's involvement, but none of it can prove that he even fired a single shot. I personally believe that he was involved based on 2 key pieces of evidence, 1) the rifle found near the sniper's nest was indeed his, and 2) his statement that he was a patsy, if he wasn't involved, he would have said that he was a scapegoat not a patsy. However, I have yet to see any explanation of the evidence that would convince me that he even fired a shot or acted alone.

My F-I-L always said he was innocent based on the "death walk" that was broadcast of Ruby shooting Oswald . When I asked why he thought that his response was , "When Oswald stepped out of the doorway he scanned the crowd as he was moving , saw someone that he obviously recognized and his whole demeanor changed . He knew he would not make it through that crowd ." Well we all know who shot him so .......... makes a person ask what ties were between whoever he saw (Ruby ?) , himself and how Ruby figured into it .... wouldnt it ?

I have seen the 2 retired secret servicemen who were closest to Kennedy interviewed. No way they said. Oswald did it. Its never been explained how Oswald could have got off the 2 shots that were almost simultaneusly.

The following persons who also worked at TSBD left the building without notifying building supervisor Roy Truly: Danny Arce, 18, left at 1:00 pm, accompanied by the police, to go to City Hall. Carolyn Arnold, 20, left at 12:25 pm and did not return. Virgie Rachley, 18, left at 11:45 am and returned at 12:40 pm but was denied entry. Jack Carson, 56, president of TSBD, left at 12:10 pm and did not return. Betty Drago, 27, left at 12:20 pm but found the door locked when she returned. She stayed outside TSBD until 2:30 pm before going home. Buell Wesley Frazier, 19, famously gave Oswald a lift to work that day. He left TSBD between 1pm and 2pm, about the same time Truly claims he made his roll call. Charles Givens, 38, returned to TSBD after the shooting but was refused entry by a Dallas policeman. An APB was put out for him, and he was later interviewed at City Hall by Captain Will Fritz. Truly was aware of Given’s absence, having seen him prior to the assassination. Truly also saw Oswald prior to his encounter with him in the second-floor lunchroom. Using that logic, Oswald should have been exonerated as well. Gloria Holt, 18, left at 12:10 pm and did not return. Stella Jacob, 20, left at noon and did not return. Judy Johnson, 20, was standing outside TSBD when the shooting began. She remained in the area until 2:00 pm then went home. Dolores Kounas, 32, left at 12:15 pm and stayed outside until 3:00 pm. Sharon Nelson, 19, left at 12:20 pm and never returned. She lived at 409 East 9th Street, near the site where Officer J.D. Tippit was gunned down. Roberta Parker, 55, left at a time unknown, and said she wasn’t allowed back in until 3:30 pm. Bonnie Richey, 20, left the building at 12:20 pm and never returned. Lloyd Viles, 41, left at 12:15 pm and returned at 2:55 pm. Vida Whatley, 45, left at 12:15 pm to go shopping. She tried to re-enter TSBD at 1pm but was denied entry by the police. She went home. Bonnie Ray Williams, 20, accompanied Arce to the police station at 1:00 pm

As a route salesman for a Dallas/Ft. Worth vending company, I was filling the Coke machine in the Parkland Hospital cafeteria about a half hour before the motorcade rolled in. I was planning to stay and have lunch but the Friday special was liver and onions, and I NEVER order organ meat in a hospital cafeteria. If roast chicken had been the special, I would have been there when Kennedy arrived. By the way, I had filled the Coke machine in the lunchroom of the Texas School Book Depository that morning. That means that if the conspiracy theorists are correct and Lee Harvey Oswald was indeed in the cafeteria drinking a Coke moments after the assassination, it was placed in the machine by Yours Truly. This gets better. The company I worked for was closed on Saturday in observance of the national tragedy, so over the weekend, I had to make up the stops I didn't get to - including the Dallas Police Headquarters. I had just pulled my truck into the parking garage on Sunday when I spotted one of my regular customers, Jack Ruby -owner of the Carousel Nightclub where we had a couple of machines. He waved to me as I drove past. He was on his way on foot to somewhere in the garage.

Ruby had a favor to return & it was killing Oswald, who definitely did not kill JFK, no matter how the commission diluted & disheveled the truth by omitting the Grassy Knoll shooter who blew the skull off JFK with a close range side shot & also vigorously pinning it on an innocent man located 300' behind where a high power close range direct side shot was an impossibility. This country or whatever is left of it should exonerate Oswald of this dubious distinction and either give up the guilty party if known or leave it as unknown/unsolved to get this historical scourge against Oswald removed.

An unrelated unfortunate coincidence of course.( That no one talks about) LBJ's illegitimate son and a few other "undesirables" in the Dallas area also died from a "fast spreading cancer" in this same time period. There is a video somewhere suggesting that this "cancer" was caused by an "injection"

I wish Oswald had blabbed away and said how he was framed. He was probably a cia informant and was so loyal that he thought he would be saved. A true patsy. I used to think he was one of the shooters but I no longer do.

The evening of Nov 22 at the press conference at police headquarters, the police chief explaining Oswalds background mentions that LHO was involved with the Cuban Fair play organization. A voice from the back corrects him saying it was the Fair Play for Cuba group. The Tv camera had swung to the back and appeared to show Ruby as the one correcting the police chief. If it truly was Ruby who said that how would a Dallas nightclub operator have known that detail? Had it been announced earlier in the day on the news?

For years I was involved in compatition shooting. My friends and I had purchased some Italian Carcano's rifles, the same kind Oswald supposedly used. Thay we're new in the crate. I did tot think much of them. In fact I thought thay we're the most generic gun I ever saw. Well put all aside we took them to the range. What junk. Nobody could hit anything. It was a quest to get this gun to hit what I was trying to hit. I was defeated . I gave up. What a piece of junk.

If anyone saw a film clip or photo of Jack Ruby from behind, as I have, they would be absolutely positive that the man that shot Oswald was not Jack Ruby. Jack Ruby had a duck tail (tapered) hairline at the collar. The shooter has a square cut hairline. Also. Immediately after Oswald was shot the shooter was surrounded to conceal his identity the dozens of cameras and video films that were all focused on the action, yet no one managed to capture an image of the shooter's face. Then immediately after the shooting, the police collected all of the films as 'evidence' and only released the films that the public are allowed to see. Interestingly, immediately after Oswald was shot, while the shooter was surrounded, he continued shooting, yet no one else was injured. This means that the shooter was firing blanks. Immediately, after Oswald was 'shot' he was taken back inside the police department and later, when he is finally brought out, he is subconscious, so he could not talk to reporters. When an autopsy is performed on Oswald it reveals that he was shot in the heart. Although, if you compare the films and photos of the moment that Oswald was supposedly shot, the gun is pointed at his stomach. Oswald was actually shot by the man that got into the ambulance with him.

That reporter who announced that he overheard Oswald shout when he was apprehended at the theatre state, "I got me a president and a cop and I'll try for two more", calling him a 'fanatic in every sense of the word' should be investigated. No other person has reported Oswald saying that and it would be contradictory with all his known behavior after being arrested. This reporter was clearly one of the early media persons in on the cover-up.

Oswald's paraffin test came back positive on his hands, that he had fired a gun that day. His cheek came back negative. Conspiracy people glom onto that and completely forget his hands were positive.

Paraffin test is an old police technique. Oswald would have had to have been wearing gloves up to his elbows. Pre-disposing the test was done correctly and on Oswald.

Did you know LBJ resigned from his job as Navy intelligence leader immediately upon being sworn in? Military intelligence and the military industrial complex were tied to each other

Everyone who knew and was around Ruby after the assassination describe him in testimony as distraught for Jackie and the rest of the family. He hated Oswald. He thought he would be hailed a hero. Linking them together in some sort of plot is ridiculous.

The Book store was behind Kennedy, the fatal head shot came from the front..thats all you need to know!

A shot from a storm drain in front of the motorcade is the ONLY way the head went back and to the left, PERIOD. Studied it for years and to have them want us to believe that a man fired 3 shot off hand from a 6.5 Carano crutch on a moving target with 2 hits in under 9 seconds is laughable.
