I am the type to laugh in uncomfortable situations and I often get labeled as a sociopath by my less than stellar family due to my coping mechanisms so I thought it might have been something like that, but holy shit was that not what that cop did at all was at all lol. Straight up belittling that persons very existence.
This isn’t the full video of the incident. This was pieced together shit. Not condoning anything but this was not a good representation of that incident. This was the same thing the news does, shows parts of videos to make the incident look like something else.
These cops are obviously getting paid under the table to get "drug" bust as they seem desparate to make their "commission" and always seem to act like they themselves are the ones on drugs
Here is the sadistic thing, sure this may make you distrust cops, but what about those you were traveling with? In the back of someones mind could linger, did they?, would they?, why would they do/cause this to happen to me? Eff the cop and prosecute, but in the cases where this didn't get called out or caught, what about the false accusation ruining lives of people that never doubted each other until something like this happens? What about the coworker that gives their pal a ride home and for 'reasons' gets stopped and your buddy is carrying? You can argue association and such, but what if it was a lie? The fact that the legal system states and accepts that authorities can legally lie to you in an effort to catch you in a lie is abhorrent to humane behavior; but then when told what the penalties are and their options, choose to take a plea bargain to avoid the harsher sentence, even when they know it is a lie. It is a pity so many in positions of authority treat their job with no self respect.

I agree as well there needs to be a law that forces officers to record throughout their shift. However the issue is the Current bodycams do not allow for storage of all that footage or have the battery life to survive recording a whole shift.

Prosecutors ended up dropping charges in more than 100 cases that involved the ex-lawman. I hope the victims completely bankrupt Jackson County, Florida. Jaahnavi Kandula was a 23 year old grad-school student from India. She was far more valuable than some washed up, unremarkable, corrupt, 50 year old officer and "vice president of the Seattle Police Officers Guild". Wish officers didn't have the ability to shut off their cameras. Who knows what vile shit we're missing out on because of it.
Police turning off their body camera while an investigation or scene is ongoing should be a felony and a total ban from serving on another force again.

i’m not easily uncomfortable, but the way the officer laughed after he said she was dead truly gave me a sick feeling. instantly felt tears. a poor lady who had a family and a life and dream to live. rest in peace to her.
The officer that hit the young lady and killed her, felt absolutely horrible about that. He even cried on the scene, so that’s not the police officers fault that the other police officer said all those things.

people lost their jobs, homes, one man who'd worked really hard to get his daughter back after 12 months, had her removed, no-one knows if he got her back. others did time in prison. The report says they've had their convictions overturned etc, but that doesn't give them back the unconciable losses they have faced. Nearly 300 or more people are victims to 'just this one cop' How many more victims are there
There's a lot of bad cops like these out here and they should be made example and be put in jail for long time but they just get away with this behavior really so sad horrible people.
