WE'RE GOING TO BE SICK AFTER WATCHING THIS ONE! 🤢🤮 Ready or Not reaction coming next Saturday! Then we get into Insidious! Full length reaction available on our Patreon www.patreon.com/posts/evil-dead-2013-107139613 Come hang out in our Discord discord.gg/HQFtGkCf37
😈Bro you should do The Evil Dead (1981), Evil Dead II (1987), Army of Darkness (1992) than this film hope you does the first 3 movie reaction in future also Ash vs Evil Dead tv series season 1 - 3, to me this film is the best of the other parts of the franchise😈
😅 is there barbed wire in this movie 🍿😅. Never will get old as long as this. Channel doesn't. But yes there's barbed wire in this movie 🍿. Wrapping the book
And she was traumatized doing it, twice! by the same director, in two different movies.😂But kudos to her tho, she really went all out in her performance. I hope she's all ok and fine now and is comfortable to return in doing horror movies if they make the 3rd film.
This film has the most amount of blood used in a film! They used 70,000 gallons of blood and 50,000 gallons was used in the final sequence alone. You all should definitely watch Jane Levy in Don't Breathe next!!
My favorite Horror reboot! It’s a 10/10 movie for me. It’s tied with Evil Dead 2 as being my favorite of the franchise. Also you guys saw the theatrical cut instead of the unrated/extended cut which includes a mid-credits scene Just like the Scream franchise, the Evil Dead franchise is consistent in quality - all good movies
NICE! I finally got this movie on Blu Ray last year and it's frickin insane! This is the version of Sam Raimi's original darker more violent screenplay that he had envisioned before he made the film.
Definitely going to pressure you into watching the other films and the show. They're all quite good, but the genre can vary quite a bit. This, The Evil Dead, and Evil Dead Rise are all straight horror. Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn and the show, Ash vs Evil Dead are both horror/comedy, but the show takes its comedy inspiration more from Army of Darkness, which is an adventure/comedy with horror elements. I'll also probably flood your comments and/or Patreon DMs with need to know or fun information. For example, this film, despite being considered a remake of the original is actually a sequel to the original in a timeline/universe where the other two films in the original trilogy and the show never take place. You'll see why when you eventually watch it.
This is basically the French extremist version of the original. The original was scary but not this kind of scary and the sequels get more comedic as they go.
Fun fact: the demon voice talking around 26:19 is the voice of demon Cheryl from the first movie. Kid me had nightmares about her and that scene so I remember it vividly 🤣
I’m here!!! Evil Dead Rise was IN MY OPINION scarier and gorier. Downside there is a Erik on that one hahaha 😂. I don’t know if I have asked if you guys have watch Books of Blood?
This is the proper way to approach a reboot.. Don't think it was a coke addiction but more likely heroin.. Corey--"Olivia locked in a loading screen.." Lol The 80s films are more or less considered horror/comedy, while this one has a more serious/dark/disturbing feel, whilst it still embodies a certain type of in your face absurdity loyal to the originals.. Something HAS to be said about the amazing practical effects.. Its rumored that Eric was/is in love with David.. The car in the scene where we first meet Mia belongs to Bruce Campbell and it appears in many of his films.. Finally, have u guys done The Cabin in the Woods?? It's a must.. XO
I gotta give it up for Blake - he really handled this movie like a champ for real 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Demonic possession-type movies are the scariest horror movies for me personally. I hope you guys watch Evil Dead Rise eventually😊 Let’s get the Pack to 30k now because it’s well deserved 🎉🎉❤
Since i never been on detox, the closest i can compare it is when you get a really upset stomach, everything hurts back there like burning, you just want it to end, and while you are waiting for things to calm down, you fidget and tighten your fists and move continuously trying to calm down the pain Definitely not a calm experience, and even less one i would go through for hours
Evil Dead 2013 is just an amazing overall movie. The cinematography, the story, the horror, the gore. It’s all top notch. The new Evil Dead that came out recently is alright but this is still goes hard.
You should check out the original Evil Dead trilogy. Then you should get into the Ash versus the Evil Dead TV series which takes place 30 years after the original trilogy. It has three seasons with 10 episodes a season lasting around 30 minutes a episode.
This movie was great I think alien Romulus is in good hands. Would love to see your reaction to Evil Dead 1, 2, Army of Darkness and then "Ash vs the Evil Dead "TV series which is a three-season show it's absolutely hilarious and has a surprisingly great series finale although that wasn't their planned endgame it got canceled early.
As someone who is in recovery (just celebrated 10 yrs), I thought the depiction of withdrawal was really accurate. I definitely would have gone and walked around in the rain to get some relief. I spent a lot of time in the shower instead.
i'd DIEEEEE for you guys to see Evil Dead (the original) and the sequel! you'll die laughing, especially at the 2nd one its such a good time movie to watch w the boys! gotta learn that Evil Dead lore, its GROOVY!
I really think Ash vs Evil Dead could be interesting on this channel, it is way more comedic but still over-the-rop. You can either continue with Rise, since there is no need to know the continuity, and then watch the three first movies ( unless Corey doesn't want to watch the first two again ofc ) since the series continues with it. Could be a great idea when The Boys Season 4 is finished since it's really WILD haha Here are my recommendations, feel free to keep them in mind in case it might interest you and can be useful when out of ideas ! Movies : - " The Collector " followed by " The Collection " by Marcus Dunstan : Perfect for the channel and in the wait of Saw XI ! It's not Saw but it's not really far from it, plus it was supposed to be a Saw spin-off if I'm not mistaken ! - The Chucky Franchise: Interesting franchise with lows and downs but definitely interesting with the TV Series ! - " You're Next " by Adam Wingard : - Not perfect but I appreciate this movie ! Perfect for a one-time viewing ! It has its charms but I think commentary could be good on this ! and for some TV Series : - Banshee: Perfect for Antony Starr, not too long but an excellent series overall ! - Hannibal: One of my favorite TV Shows, disturbing but well done with incredible... well everything ! I really like your reactions and the chemistry you have with eachother ! Favortie discovery of this year, keep up the work ! Can't wait to see some future reactions :)
Check out Evil Dead Rise 2023 i thought that was similar to this with the blood and gore :) 9/10 in my opinion! I saw this in theaters back in 2013 with a decent sized crowd
In the Evil Dead world there are 3 books, this is one of them, in the movie Evil Dead Rise they use another one and I think that in the TV show another one. You guys should watch the most recent movie or the show. Also fun fact this movie held the record for the most fake blood used for several years.
In order to avoid removing the favorite you just gave me on my other comment, I just want to also mention that there are several easter eggs to the original movie in this. A lot of them being audio related, as they are literally lifted from the original film and placed into this. And then some of the easter eggs are small visual cues. I know a few of them, but I can't see I've actually SEEN them all.
I'm not sure if I heard yall talk about it in the vid, but the first letter of the characters spells out "demon". *D*avid, *E*ric, *M*ia, *O*livia, *N*atalie
This is a worthy scary movie. The original trilogy is different because the films are a continuous story, but each one changes in style. The original movie actually started Sam Raimi's filmmaking career. Ready or not is an amazing story and will be a good palette cleanser following this. Great work guys 👏
If you want to know why or how she became like that I won't say but watch the old one one two and three to understand who they are and why she was like that also it tells you the movies if you watch the old ones how to kill them permanently
the originals were more of a comedy than a horror so it’s really cool to see them turn it into pure horror you guys need to watch the original 3 in the evil dead series. evil dead 2 is considered by most to be the best in the franchise, it surpassed the original when it came out like aliens
After this, you should watch the original Evil Dead that this is a remake of. Blake would have a great time watching it 🤭. It also stars Bruce Campbell as Ash Williams, one of the most iconic horror characters out there
@@RaggedyPack to be honest if you handled this one then you could probably handle the original. If it makes you feel any better, the budget was EXTREMELY low for the original so the effects aren't great. They're amazing for the budget but compared to this they're definitely amateur. If you do go ahead for the original, I wish you good luck. It's my favourite movie :))
😂🤣 Fun, fun, fun! That was delightful! When I was 8 or 9, I slept over at my cousin's place and my Aunt's bf rented this for us! Her boyfriends used to rent movies to keep us company/distracted while they got busy upstairs. 😂🤣 The original Evil Dead and Splash were a couple of the movies I remember from those days.
Smart character in a horror movie?! May i introduce you gentlemen to “You’re Next” which has one of the most resourceful and smartest final girls of all time!
The whole Evil Dead series is a must, the first movie started out as a low budget movie made on weekends by a bunch of mates that turned into the highest grossing horror movie of all time, and made stars of Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi. it helped kickstart the careers of people like the Coen brothers and makeup /sfx guys from movies/ shows like Predator and the Walking Dead. The original trilogy evolved more into the mythology of Ash (Bruce Campbell) being the savior of humanity and his rise from stock boy at S- Mart to demon slayer. The new reboot/ sequels are more serious in tone but still keep the humour intact with callbacks to the original trilogy, even the tv series Ash vs The Evil Dead is great as it ties everthing together. you really need to watch them.
This was a Channel that i liked but Blake's constant talk about hating cats disgusts me,especially seeing a dead cat on the screen, very unnecessary.Cats are already animals that are victims of countless mistreatment in the world.Certainly an attitude like this ends up serving as an example for children and adults to treat cats in this same way.And if this is a "Joke" it doesn't matter It has the same end. I was very stupid to make my friends subscribe to the channel, i'm just not going to unsubscribe but convincing my friends to do the same.
This just inst evil dead. Just a gsneric horror movie imho. Yall should check out the show Ash vs Evil Dead in your own time. Wont be disappointed. And that show is the tone evil dead is supposed to have.
Yeah, the Ash Vs Evil Dead series is the epitome of what Evil Dead really is. These remakes have none of the heart and charm of the original trilogy. The remakes are good for gore lovers, but they're incredibly one-note and they lack the only thing that makes Evil Dead a celebrated franchise... ASH.
Allow me to offer spoiler free guidance... Evil Dead 1981, is a stand alone. Evil Dead 2 1987, is a retelling of the first movie(but different). Army of Darkness 1992, is a direct sequel to the second movie. Then the franchise starts over with Evil Dead 2013, followed by Evil Dead Rise 2023. Ash vs Evil Dead 2015, is a t.v. show that picks after Army of Darkness.
Yeah it’d be fun if y’all watched the other 4 movies. Not really a big deal if you see the remake first, the plot’s are pretty similar, just the tone and budget are different. I think y’all would enjoy them, especially the comedic campy 2nd one 😂
