Hello my friend. Im from argentina. Congratulations. Very beautiful v4 motor. I miss that sound..when you put Up the trim...Now i have a 90 hp 4t Mercury...not the same sound..
Interesting how it accelerates more as you trim the motor up, are you also applying more throttle or is it accelerating just from the change in trim? We rented a similar boat a few weekends ago, 18ft with a 75hp yamaha. It seems we could have gotten better top speed by modulating the trim - is this correct?
Gyppor you want to start your boat in a low trim, the boat planes out better. Once you start to get up to speed and the boat planes out you bring the trim up and then not will go faster. The only time you keep your trim down is if your starting your boat or pulling a skier, it pulls them out of the water better. After they are out of the water you can bring you trim up at little. But if not pulling a skier bring trim all the way up, it will make the boat go faster.
@@Gyppor Don't know if you're still around. Tilting your trim up, gets the boat on a higher plane/less resistance=couple mph increase in speed and RPMs. LISTEN TO YOUR ENGINE IF YOU DO THIS! If you raise it too high or too fast you start getting ventilation or a lot of prop slip. '86 19' Stratos, 150HP Marine Magnum 60+MPH.
