XVermillion There were lots of Tournaments for MK X that were pretty decent. CEO and a couple others like ESL, and Combobreaker. So that statement might be a little unfair

That was awesome to watch. I'm really impressed SonicFox was able to master so many characters when most others had only one solid character (often chosen by tiers). Great to see Kitana do so well too.
1: 0:13 - Ketchup vs Honeybee 2: 6:54 - DJT vs A Foxy Grandpa 3: 15:01 - MIT vs Milky Situation 4: 22:11 - Sonicfox vs ZyPhox 5: 28:47 - Ketchup vs MIT 6: 36:16 - Sonicfox vs DJT 7: 43:01 - A Foxy Grandpa vs Honeybee 8: 52:40 - Sonicfox vs MIT 9: 58:49 - Sonicfox vs Honeybee 10: 1:10:38 - Sonicfox vs A Foxy Grandpa
My dream EVO Grand Finals.............. My favorite NRS player versus my 2nd favorite MKX player. Notice how well "Foxes" do in fighting games? Even Mango, Armada, and Leffen use "Fox".
all ketchup had to odo to win that first round against MIT when he was in the corner was EX that hammer interactable IDK why he didn' t that hammer is basically there FOR quan chi.
I wanted to see more Johnny Cage, Mileena, Sonya, Liu Kang players but that's ok. SonicFox was great and his gameplay is amazing. I don't say he's the greatest ever but he's skillful! Maybe next time he will choose other fighters, who knows? Right now he's training Shinnok and Predator plus he's still very good with Sonya, Ermac, Mileena, Kung Lao, Tanya,, Scorpion
I think the problem with Ketchup is that Quan Chin isn't that cheap character, just like Scorpion's "demon" variation or Jason's blade one. But despite of that he's such a great player.
***** yeah, you know I definitely have to agree with on that he can pretty much beat anyone. ...but just like you said his had some bad luck, but it's ok because his champion.
Damn... awesome game people think low tier characters are weak as long you know how to abuse and read opponents you can win with low tier characters and if your really good become champ
This is so much nicer to watch than other fighting games, its either spamming jabs and fireballs or constant dash cancels to make the opponent bite to a fake. It's so jarring to look at and there's not much actual fighting going on compared to this.
Then you don’t understand what you’re watching , fighting is about baiting your opponent into making the wrong move . From UFC to Boxing to Street fighter and MK I’ll say again you don’t understand what you’re watching
@@Boom_Boy_o7 you just compared street fighter and MK to the UFC. I don't remember Anderson Silva shooting fireballs or turning into a literal devil in any of his bouts. Shut the fuck up you fucken virgin. This comment is also 5 years old.
he was just too far ahead of everyone at this stage, although he is the best still guys like cr_dragon and scar (also intrested to see grandpa's mileena at final) make things much more interesting
There is no such thing as top or low tier it is simply how you handle the character. Sure there are characters that don't have some tools but the player is what counts, just look at reptile. I myself am a fan if reptile but he could use a little more damage
It depends on what game when it comes to "best competing fighting gamer ever" and other factors. For instance, Justin Wong was undefeated in Marvel (including EVO wins) for several years to the point where he was banned from certain events, was world class in 3rd strike, and was pretty high in the US scene for SF4 for awhile. Daigo was also world class in everything that he wanted to play, took 2 EVOs and made top 8 for 5 years straight (not including the EVOs he won before that), and is considered the best SF player ever by most. To also name a few, Chris G, Dogura, Tokido, Xian, and Infiltration (who was undefeated for a year when he won his EVO title) are among several players that are very consistent in multiple games and have had notable streaks throughout there careers to prove there consistency. Another thing is that these players were still on top even after several changes in the meta years after the game came out (some not remaining as dominant ofc, but most still place where they have always been placing). MKX has been out for not even a year yet, and the only meta that has really changed came from frequent patches. As of right now, Sonic Fox is imo the best NRS player (won MK9 EVO, Undefeated in Injustice for like a year and won that EVO, and has the most tournaments won in MKX and hasnt placed outside of Top 8 since the game came out including EVO) while also succeeding and making top 8 in other games. He could be the most consistent fighting game player this year, but calling him the best player ever is really a stretch if you compare him to other accomplishments of other players.
+sheraldford Yes I agree. At best we can only say who the "best" is for each game. However I do feel like no matter what game sonicfox got involved in he'd probably do very well. I just can't seem to find any real numbers except I did find a list of the highest paid fighting game players and sonicfox is at the top for just fighting games. However, that is only because there are more and more opportunities to make more money than in previous years, and amount of money made doesn't necessarily equate to skill. I wanted to find a list of total tournaments won.
what sonic fox is doing by jumping and throwing those fans low right away....... the same he does with ermacs DB 2...... so quicky........ the announcer is saying it's super tough..... but what he's not relaying is that it's FUCKIN IMPOSSIBLE, and I can't figure out for the life of me how sonic does it..... it's IMPOSSIBLE you have to 3 thumbs.... I don't get it.... he must use the tip of his thumb AND the joint in his thumb.... ridiculous.
As a smash player from melee, I was happy to see Rocket Raccoon in UMVC3, and even the raptor coming back to KI, but why exactly are we cursed to see at least one Fox at every Evo? P.S. Is Sonic fox wearing a Furry Inking cap? What exactly is that?
Alex Gomez challenging dexterity has nothing to do with whether a game is worthy of being taken serious for competition. Look at them still clinging on to melee. Why? because it's the only one that gives some sense of "fighting game depth". Even then, How many matches must there be with Fox in them? Smash is a button-masher targeted at casuals that just happened to have glitches that Nintendo never sought to duplicate. Because they were mistakes in design.
furyberserk That's not competitive fighting. Those that you speak of have no depth. You just move forward and tap buttons. Guilty gear =/= Streets of Rage.
