I can't wait until Kung Jin gets nerfed. The strength of that character-- with the range, ease of which combos can be performed, and tons of meterless damage, is really the biggest reason Kung Jins get to the top in the first place. And you can tell the huge difference in skill when Foreverking switched from Kung Jin to Goro because he was getting destroyed by SonicFox.
He did get nerfed with damage output and hitbox with the neutral jumping 2 he's normalized now he's not that hard to deal with if you have a character with good/fast 50/50 combos sonic fox displayed that but running thru forever king and reo
I just love to play with Kung Jin against salty people like you who don't know the MUs and play like a impatient stressed kid. Are you salty because you lost some online matches against him? Deal with hitbox is much more easier than a vortex or 5050s mix up characters. Kung Jin is weak compared to Raiden, Quan-chi, Erron Black, Scorpion, D'vorah, Kung Lao...
pierre galanis .... neither is cheap imo. they both are strong. this game is very well balanced. you're also forgetting that Dizzy beat Sonic Fox earlier in the tourney. so Dizzy beat him twice.
Seem like he choked I mean he kept frame trapping people which a lot of the commentary is good but they still don't tell you everything and dizzy was using mix ups more than 50/50 than anything with that option select combo and sonic blocked most of it then he gets hit by all of it at the end then notice how dizzy didn't even attempt a hit on sonic and let him get a flawless I feel as though the goro should've been picked over ermac he just didn't have him solid enough to take advantage of all he had could've won I seen things about his goro that were really good such as his jump ins and backs and zoning and with punch walk being pretty safe he had a good way in just lacked powerful combos which is a different person but yeah
Armored moves that dont exists anymore, strings changes, GGA Dizzy last time being relevant at majors, Erron Black salt, before everyone knew Liu Kang was is the best character on game, and one of last tournament for Yomi and Echo Fox. Good old days😂😂😂
Probably not the best place to ask but I wonder if I should get this game. I didn't really like MK9. I played Street Fighter and a lot of Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Do you think I would like this MK? Is it a lot different from the previous one?
TropicalTendencies In my opnion, mk9 is about, mixups and pressure. I honestly havent played alot of MKX to know alot about it, But I really enjoy it. If you enjoy the mk games then really do get this game (:
Wilman Garcia Yeah, but that wasn't his "main". Nikolass' main WAS Ermac and he is a way better Ermac since he annihilated sonic fox in the first game. I get the feeling that Sonic fox choose Ermac just to be a dick and to try to beat Nikolass with his own character.
Just Luck on the end for Dizzy with the neutral jump. He won for sure, but Dizzy suffered a lot against the third of the tournament and Sonic Fox beat him easily, that's the difference, just wait and see if Sonic Fox won't take back his gold medal
It wasnt luck It takes skill to beat an OP spamming charecter like erron. All ive seen him used for is those long combos off that cheap grab . And his grounded attacks . hes like a DOA player

Alex Irias I would like to see more Liu Kang, though. The same thing was said about Takeda and that kid "Raptor" did a pretty solid job in this tournament (except when he got destroyed by Dizzy xD)

Only thing is I hate about these tournaments is that they look down upon X-rays or using interactables etc. I mean it's there for a reason don't give me shit because I use it
I don't get why they would look down in interactables, but to a high level player, xrays are pointless.Why use an xray for 3 bars for 30 something percent when I can do higher for 1 bar? You must not play at a high enough level to understand that.
+Brandon Harrison its looked down because once you become a high level player, u realize how those things cripple ur gameplay. preserving meter to enhance or break combos is much more valuable in this environment. strategy my dude.
+Dul KillinAnime Not always the case, some characters have better X-Rays then others. Kitana for example has a completely safe 9 frame overhead for her X-Ray that she can even use in the air. Sonya has a very strong parry X-Ray that used to lead to 70% damage (I'm sure it was nerfed, but it';s still very viable)
+brightnoa21 sure, Johnny cage and sonya have pop up x rays. however, meter is useful for attack in defense. what you're saying, in theory, applies to a offensive gameplay. x Ray aren't bad, outs just knowing when to use them is the issue.
***** Yeah pretty much. I mean if you look at SonicFox's kitana play he's been straight up abusing her X-Ray, then again in most match ups her meter building ability is top notch.
What happen to dizzy being better than sonic lol? Sonic reset the bracket but they nerf broken ass raiden and dizzy hast made it into another top 8. While erron has caught constant nerfs.
