my brother and i often discuss if luigi and zzs were an unlikely couple. samus likes him because despite his goofy, bumbling awkwardness, he's sincere and sweet. and luigi likes her because she's fearless and reassuring.
@@christiancox972 i see it, they make a good couple and it really does remind me of Felix and Calhoun. Luigi being the awkward, nice and caring one while Samus is the reassuring and fierce one. Also I think Samus wouldnt want a fierce badass tough guy she would just one a sweet guy with humor and Luigi is that.
Because Mars is aggressive and cyclone beats aggressive options. If a player plays to the level of Mars defensively, then cyclone will legit be almost useless.
it was a needed counter pick against that unbalanced character, elegant and his trash pro self couldnt adapt to the map choice, wiffing multiple grabs and the ledge like a scrub. i laughed out loud irl. fuck luigi and cyclone bullshit.

@@DeltaTried Yeah, she has what Luigi doesn't. Better range, better mobility, a harder to disrupt recovery. Though Luigi has better tools to deal with her in this game then in the last two games. So I would put it at 55-45 or 60-40
Marss lost to Nietono 2-1 in winners right after this set. Then he played Nairo (won 2-0) and lost to Light (2-0) placing 13th. All those matches were recorded by Zero and you can find the vods on his stream.
I respect Elegant for sticking with his main ever since Sm4sh even though luigi was nerfed and struggles a lot against other characters in the game, but i think Elegant needs to move on and pick a new main. He has the potential of being among the best of the best players, luigi is just holding him back imo :/
Luigi's recovery is so susceptible it almost makes no sense, but I kinda wanted Marss to win this. But it's still kinda stupid how Sakurai nerfed his recovery so badly.
As a Luigi's player, I must say that sadly Luigi has horrible air game. Just terribly slow, Not surprising that Marss wins. It's really noticible the deference between those characters specially on this Smash that favors the aereal play even more than the prior ones. Even though it's really remarkable the ability that Elegant has with Luigi
I wouldn't say horrible. He has fast moves that can combo into each other and yes while they have limited range, he can normally escape out of combos with them. He has that to compensate for his terrible air speed and interceptible recovery.
@@bootieos7701 you're right, he has good combos and powerful attacks, but I'm referring specifically to his air game, he suffers a lot in the air with characters like zero suit Samus and it's notable on this video
Danny Gutierrez for some reason in Smash luigi moves like two centimeters an hour in the air where as in the mario games he literally zooms through the air
If you can homie stock, Im a little mad how mars didn't homie stock elegant for accidently killing him self/ or spot dodgeing off stage, if Mars did homie stock I think he would of gotten more respect
