I'm 42 yrs old, and I thought I was too old for the FGC, but seeing Hayao, who is 41, and MOV 39, they are still so active and perform so well, my blood is now burning again! EVO moment #37 took me to Fighting Games, EVO 2024 takes me back to it again!
@@drwalka10It’s called having ‘fun’. It also hypes the crowd up - especially in a competitive setting. Obviously we’re all entitled to our own opinion. If you’ve watched any of Hayao’s old clips, this is his mannerisms since the early 2000’s in SBO days with Kuroda etc
@@drwalka10 lol bro you're in the wrong place with all that hate. He's bringing a high energy and is super fun to both watch and be around. I have a feeling it's work being around you 😂
It's awesome to see how much exposure and love Hayao is getting from the Evo audience. He's been a beast since the early 2000s and has never lost his fun antics. Always will be one of my favorite players ever.
Hayao is a whole ass character, lmao. I know he focuses mostly on SF3, but I really hope he competes in more modern games too, because his presence and showmanship would lighten up any event he competes in 😂
I’ve been a fan of Hayao’s BEASTLY Hugo for a long fucking time but this is one of his HARDEST performances ever. He was fighting at his best here for sure and I hope to see more play like this out of him
if you notice, issei's yun "genei jin" special wasn't hitting at all at the end. that was the key to the MOV win. It would either whiff totally not getting no damage, or just get 2-4 hits, when before he was hitting 10-11 hit combos when in that state. once MOV solved that, it was over.
This moment and his red parry against Resolve’s Urien EX headbutt into Gigasbreaker was 🤯 Was waiting for Chi-Rithy to SA2 Hayao but he didn’t dare do it, cause you know what would have happen….parry, parry, parry, parry, parry, parry, parry, parry, Gigas Breaker FTW. Amazing 3S gameplay.
SPOOKY certainly needs to be recognized for actually providing the outlet for many to actually see many tournaments and showed alot of people how things should be done on the streaming end.
What do you guys expect? you can't go wrong with 3rd Strike! Congrats to Hayao for some great performances from him! They need to bring this back for another year, because we are still fighting for the future.
What a great gift this EVO has given us to see Hayao again and these plays like 1:16 that would be impossible to reproduce the hype in today's fighting games
The street fighter franchise is king of the crop. With the exception of smash Bros there's no other fighting game with a huge community with so much relevancy
Seeing the impact of evo moment 37 and how amazing this top 6 was I feel like it would be cool if they made third strike on the main stage every year in addition to the rotating retro game
Hayao got most of the attention (very understandably) but the winner won more with ELENA than with anyone else, a character about as good as Hugo, congrats to MOV (Also to Hayao for being the goat of Hugo)
Im curious about the TV with integrated game they use for 3rd Strike. I guess this is something made, but how do they do it? They take an original 3rd Strike PCB from an arcade machine and built something with it? Anyone know?
