The problem with Gabriel now is that he's TOO obsessed on defeating Ladybug and Chat Noir that he essentially got blinded by it, forgetting his true motive
I think not too bcs hes thinking that ladybug and cat noir can defeat his past aelf when gabriel said”i will ot let you to destroy my future”i think i understand him
@@raymondcadutdut525 no its because his obsession. He tried so many times to beat them it’s like driving his ego and he needs to beat them. Nathalie even says it.
I was so proud of Natalie in this episode. Finally, seeing Gabriel for who he truly is. She still stays employed to him, but only to protect Adrian. Also, I do like it when the dog miraculous gives you a beret with the transformation.
I gotta say, it was nice to see Natalie actually put her foot down against Gabriel. The man truly has lost it, all his problems could have vanished if he just did one simple thing, but he allowed his pride to get the better of him.
Not just his pride, but his obsession and ego got the best of him as well. Yes. He fail over and over again because he's too chicken to get ladybug and cat noir's miraculous by himself. He's always hide in the shadow and akumatized everyone.
I can't believe that you've finally reached season 5 and that you're on a par with us... I'm anxious for you to see the episodes, this season is extremely good and the emotions are UFFF
Gabriel might have begun all this out of love, but he's spent 4 seasons being defeated and humiliated by 2 children. It's clear that his hatred for them has upataged his initial motivation, which is kinda of a fascinating character development move. With 3 lines, Natalie proved you don't need a redemption arc yo become everyone's favorite character And yeah, LB and CN had plenty of chances to grab the Miraculous, but considering how good what follows is, I say we can forgive that. The next 2 episodes are really gonna get insane and set the tone for this season
It's funny, if he had saved Emily, by going back in time there would not have been a Ladybug or Cat noir......... Technically he would have defeated them .........
I was thinking the same thing as Zamber. They had so many opportunities to grab the miraculous off of him. But Gabriel has another new power in addition to the miraculous. It's called plot armor, even if it is stupid plot armor.
Natalie: Its either me and saving your love from death, or living a life failing to defeat two 15 year olds. Monarch: FLY AWAY MY LITTLE AKUMA, AND MINORLY INCONVINIENCE AND TRAUMATIZE THOSE MEDDLING KIDS
well, the reason Gabriel DIDNT DROP THE DRIVE was actually because he’s gotten so insane that he is more obsessed with defeating and getting revenge on Ladybug and Chat Noir at this point than he is obsessed with reviving Emilie
Nah pretty sure he was on a time limit. Even if he dropped the drive chances are they would take down scarlet moth and reveal his identity This would lead to them defeating monarch and bunny’s could just prevent Gabriel from dropping the drive after monarch was already defeated. He’s better off what he did now.
We found out in Feast that Master Fu lost the butterfly and peacock when the temple burned down, as well as the book. That was over 100 years ago. I get the feeling knowledge of the miraculous was once more common, but when the Order of the Guardians was destroyed they stopped loaning them out and memory faded. They might of turned into myths and legends, but there were people in WWII who still believed in them.
Someone knows their history, the Nazis during WW2 were obsessed with the supernatural and would attempt to loot a lot of ancient artifacts they thought were magical and powerful.
@@boycottdisney2024 Yeah, that was what I was thinking. Although I didn't want to actually say the name, as I wasn't sure how the algorithm would like that.
6:35 I’m cackling! I somehow forgot until just this moment that he would have to mention each Kwami by name to metamorphose/unify them! The fact that he did it right in front of the Duo is even funnier!
Finally! Natalie disowned Gabriel due to his constant losses, and Alix got Rabbit's miraculous on a permanent basis. All of these events will play their part. In vain I cut out the scene with Leela on the train, it is extremely important for Season 5. Looking forward to other series. Thanks for the reaction :)
Awesome start to season 5! Its also interesting to see how obsessed Gabriel is on beating his superhero rivals, and how he has pretty much forgotten why he started doing this in the first place. Just like Master Fu once said, merging so many miraculous can cause you to lose your mind. Hawkmoth had good intentions with awful methods, Shadowmoth was slowly descending deeper into his villain identity, and Monarch is now a total shadow of his former self. Can't wait for more episodes!!!
The real deal with Gabriel is because he's the epitome of entitlement. He thinks the entire world has to bend to his will and he HATES when things don't go his way. It's not about saving Emily anymore, it's about destroying Ladybug and Cat Noir because >how dare them< not give him what he wants.
*Destroying the whole world. He was willing to nuke the world in the NY special, gave mega-destruction powers to Cat Blanche (that one blew up in his own face, lol), Etcetera. Not to mention minor things like controling Adrien. I'm still not over the whole 'blew up Paris, blew up NY, now I'm going to cut my son's trip short because of safety reasons as if I'm not the one destroying cities'.
@@riel4553 it's because another thing about Gabriel is that he's a commentary on the "the ends justifies the means" mindset. He doesn't cares about anything that happens as long as he gets the Miraculous, because hey, he's gonna wish it all away anyways, so why bother? This is also to show how heartless and self-centered he is: he's willingly to burn it all away if it means getting what he wants.
He might have done everything for family at the beginning, but now, it's all about his pride. He doesn't care about his wife or son anymore. He only cares about destroying the people against him and have the world exactly as he wants it, cause his selfishness and pride are all that matters to him now.
we did find out that Monarch obtaining the miraculous was something that was meant to happen, it didnt disrupt the time stream so thats why Bunnyx wasn't involved with the events of "Strike back". 7:23 We also realized that it didnt matter if they took the dog miraculous after retrieving the watch, Monarch would have used any other miraculous to gain the upper hand. Retrieving the watch was the most important because with it they had a better chance at trapping Monarch in tim,e then very quickly capturing him in the present, which is what Bunnyx did in the end of the episode. Unfortunately, Ladybug and Cat Noir had a hard time dealing with Monarch and taking back the miraculous every time they managed to corner him because for the first time, Monarch had far more power to the point of being unpredictable, they didnt know what he would do next with what kind of miraculous power, so naturally, he got away.
9:11 a thing I noticed here as an Arab native speaker, alim (Alex's dad) means knowledgeable, and it fits his character to a T because he always (asumably) knew about alix becoming bunnix
Fun fact: the reason the Fandom went wild between season 4 and 5 was because the entire show bible of season 5 go leaked. Everyone was freaking out wondering if it was the real deal or a troll was doing this. Turns out it was the real deal and the entire season 5 got leaked along with the drafts for the finale and parts of season 6. So yeah beware of spoilers cause a lot of people already know what's going to happen even before episodes air out.
Can I just say am I the only one who wants Natalie's VA to get a award for this performance lol also I'm pretty sure even if the y went to grab the miraculous he would of just escaped with whatever miraculous I'm pretty sure so unless they find a way to disable them or have enough time to grab some or crucial ones
8:17 because they were N*zi's. Back then, they wanted to search for ancient artifacts like the Holy Grail and the Fountain of Youth. So it makes sense that they wanted the Miraculous, and as for why people aren't chasing them it's because the N*zi's no longer exist
I have not watched Miraculous Ladybug since the Miraculous World Tour, the both episodes... Thank you Zamber for doing what you do... I can still follow up 😉
Natalie has been seeing Gabriel slowly getting more an more unhinged as the series progressed. Before she was only helping Gabriel because he was doing it to save Emilie but after she saw that his obsession with Ladybug and Cat Noir has blinded him from his initial motive, she realized that Gabriel had truly gone insane now.
I love this episode because Alix finally gets to use the rabbit miraculous and her transformation was so cool. Also I like that you're in season 5 now I hope you like this season like I do. And it's good that Natalie stood up to Gabriel he could make both her and Emily feel better and save them but he didn't he could leave Ladybug and Cat noir alone. Gabriel is so selfish.
im rewatching this a day later. I always love how Natalie calls him out on his bs. She stole that scene at the end 👏🏽 also while im here. didn’t alex say that Lady Bug hasn’t given her the miraculous yet because she hasn’t discovered how awesome she is? like we have only seen future bunix in action but not much of present alex. i feel like we missed off screen character growth or something
Nathalie truly becomes one of the MVP in this season... but not for the Miraculous mission, but for another thing that is possibly even more important than defeating Monarch. The moment when she finally stands up against Gabriel and saw him for who he really is was the best part of the episode. I mean, Gabriel could have ended everything by making the best decision in fixing the Peacock Miraculous, so both his wife and Nathalie wouldn't be doomed to die, but he decided to go against Ladybug and Cat Noir. I think his obsession was not about the Miraculous, but rather their holders. For months he has been defeated by a couple of 14-years-old children, so when the chance to defeat them came, he just couldn't resist it. But, curious enough, Gabriel can still be even more deranged than he was in this episode.
Zamber, I think you would like to know that Disney will start airing new episodes in the English dub... still this month. Portugal and Spain will air "The Kwamis' Choice" special (ep 10 and 11) at the end of the month and, because they have dual audio with English, we will also have the dub version as well. Not just that, but US Disney will also start airing new episodes in April as well. I can't wait for your reaction to the rest of the episodes of season 5, because they are CRAZY!!! Seriously, no other season comes close to what season 5 has in store for all of us.
Okay this is at least the second time that I've watched this while I was doing something else and then tuned back in just in time for "senti-embryo"! Why does this keep happening...?
When Ladybug gave the Bunny Miraculous to Chat Noir, we were all so happy bc it demonstrated that now she trusted him more and would include him as an equal member of the duo. This is part of something we like to call "Welcome to season 5!" moments. Hell yeah Oh and Thomas confirmed before the first episode of season 5 that Adrien and Felix are sentibeings and he also said on an interview THEY ARE NOT THE ONLY ONES. You will find out who the other(s) is/are soon enough ;)
@@wildstarfish3786 Spoilers for everything S5 released till now (NOT LEAKS)✨✨✨ Yeah it was very heavily hinted at and kinda confirmed that Kagami is one too
Yes!, you're on season 5. The first episode is going to be awesome. I can't believe Natalie finally put her foot down and told gabriel off like that, go Natalie!!
It surprised nobody that he tried using the time travel first. Gabriel could've easily saved his wife if he had just left the pen drive there, but his obsession with defeating Ladybug overcomes absolutely everything. Even the love for his wife and own son (as if Cat Blanc and Ephemeral aren't already indicators.) So glad Natalie is finally opening her eyes. Get ready. Season 5 is one heck of a ride so far.
So glad to see you starting season 5, but I have to give you a heads-up, only up to episode twelve is up in order right now, the other episodes that have been released aren’t in the right order yet as we are still waiting for episodes 13, 14, and 15
I admit it's frustrating to see Monarch escape so many times, but ignoring that, it's a good chapter. I didn't expect the end of this chapter the first time I saw it, seeing Nathalie realize that Gabriel fell into madness is something that I needed to do a long time ago🐰.
Now that I look back at this, I’m surprised he did not see the transformed Alex and still and questioned how they could follow him through time like you don’t just miss her
Even as someone who does have gripes with the show, I think some of the moments where Ladybug and Cat Noir did not take any Miraculous from Monarch can be explained away as viewer benefit - in the sense that we get brief pauses for dialogue or processing what happens; even if the heroes acted faster, so too could Gabriel
Adrian and Marinette are 14 years old. Gabriel doesn't care anymore about helping his wife and his assistant all he cares about is chasing just two Miraculous.
Season 5 time. My favorite season so far! It's supposed to be the ending for the "agreste" story arc, and it definitely shows. So much stuff happened so far, and there's still more to come! Unfortunately, not all released episodes are in english, a ton of them were released out of order, and I'm pretty sure there's still some gaps in the list of released episodes. So how will you watch these? Obviously it'll be in order, but will you watch the subbed version if you have to, or will you just wait til we get an english dub of the episode that comes after?
Summary of the history of the rabbit miraculous, as it is really confusing. very well, in the timetagger ep there were three rabbit miraculous, one with the adult Alix, the one inside the miraculous box and one with the mini Alix that was given to her in the timebreaker ep. Ok what happened for this paradox to occur? Let's go from the most recent ep to the oldest (Evolution, Timetagger, Timebreaker). The rabbit's Miraculous was in the box for several centuries until Ladybug used it to rewind time in Risk and then Gabriel stole it. At the end of evolution, Ladybug entrusts the rabbit miraculous to Alix and for several years it was in her possession to protect from the Monarch, and then we arrived at Timetagger. At some point during the battle with the Timetagger, Catnoir cataclysates the rabbit's miraculous causing her to be sent to ancient Egypt and trapped in the past. She used what powers she still had to go into hibernation for centuries and centuries, until she was found by Ladybug and Catnoir when timetagger went into the past. Now comes the tricky part, now that Bunnix was in the past with a broken miraculous in need of a new one, however she couldn't get what was in the box from master Fu because that would cause a problem in the timeline, so she went to the mini Alix who had the deactivated rabbit miraculous (save this information), and took this deactivated miraculous and transferred Fluffy from the broken miraculous to this deactivated one, being able to use it again and finally managing to defeat the Timetagger. Pay close attention now, with the use of Ladybug's miraculous cure, the rabbit's miraculous was fixed, now Bunnix had two miraculous, one disabled (without Fluffy) and one activated (with Fluffy). In order not to screw up the timeline again, Alix took the deactivated miraculous, went back in time and left it with her father and said that on Alix's 14th birthday, the watch should be given to her as a family heirloom passed on to everyone the youngest children of the family. Thus, Mini Alix would have the rabbit miraculous when Bunnix got stuck in the past and could transfer Fluffy to the unbroken version of the miraculous. So doing this great cycle of the rabbit miraculous.
"So [master Fu] has met us before" Technically no, as Ladybug is in her Ladybug-guardian costume and Cat Noir is also using the rabbit miraculous, so the show can get away with Fu not recognizing these two as the same LB and CN that he chooses/meets later.
4:39 if you look closely, the time that she hit was the first time marinette fell in love with Adrien! The picture it is when Adrien is giving Mari the umbrella! The little details😭😭
The previous ep recap in tine travel is so cool to see it in another angle and 12:06 basicly for teen emilie they edited her face into tara strong body lol
Okay didn't have time to do my little review since I had a power outage (still not back up) but I like to say I'm so proud of Nathalie for calling Gabriel out, but at the same time she really was the one making the better plans. I like this version of Monarch no bald cap but don't get used to it 😭, I also like Rabbit Noir's design it's simple but glad there's no bald cap, Canigirl's design is nice still annoyed she got a transformation scene and not Sabrina, and finally the bunny and dog fusion is a bit weird but I like how it looks like she has a post man hat 🤣. I used the TikTok filter on the final scene between Gabriel and Nathalie and the ending it made him say Ladybuhuhug 🤣 it was so funny
honestly I'm so happpy Natalie finally comes to her senses this season. In the past she was literally blinded by love. She was ready to give everything for him. This was the proof she needed that he will never lover her enough to choose her over his obsession with power. And that's the big thing that this episode made clear: even though in the beginning Gabriel's actions might've come from a noble position, saving his wife and giving his son his mother back etc, it's clear now that by now it's only about power and getting revenge on these children. He's literally blinded by power and revenge, absolutely demented. It became clearer over the past season as well but at this point he also definitely doesnt care about his son anymore either - there really were moments in the past where you thought that deeep down he did everything for adrien and moments where you actually thought he was trying to be a better father and you even felt sympathy for him because afterall he lost his wife. But now he is willing to risk it all even though the consequence for that would be that Adrien will be left all alone .. terrible dude but no spoilers for at this point 👀 and NOPE literally every episode this season is wild holy shit 😂 and no the fandom itself is actually pretty nice. There are a lot of cool discussions etc on reddit and usualy people don't give you spoilers inentionally. All spoiler posts are marked 😊
Finally, I’ve now watched your reaction to this episode! Was looking forward to it since your last MLB reaction. RU-vid notified me when you uploaded this video earlier, but I still have a class. Great reaction, btw! I'm excited for your next reactions :)
In this season, everything in the episodes follows the theme of the title. Like this episode. Evolution We have: Gabriel having new powers. Natalie having enough and just. Goodbye b!tch. 👋 Our hero is even more closer. Etc. And of course we have the power related to it.
Well not only the fact that he could have solved all of his personal and family problems with Emily still being alive and well, and Natalie being not sick- he could have also told his past self directly who the guardian of the Miraculous was at that point in history, and he'd could pursue and steal the box from Master if he truly wanted the rest of the Miraculous, which would circumvent Lady Bug and Cat Noir entirely.
A lot makes this my favourite episode so far! So much happens in such a short space of time. Gabriel at this point is more power-hungry and beset on defeating Ladybug and Cat Noir over bringing Emilie back. Nathalie is right, he has gone insane. You gotta remember a lot of what they did here couldn't disrupt what had already happened, i.e. why after they got Alix they couldn't just go back and grab the dog miraculous. Everything is set in stone, and future Bunnyx knows all the crazy stuff that happens from now.
Actually there is an explenation for Gabes choices in this episode season 3 In Kwami Buster as Marrinett grabs the Miraculous master Fu says "its very Dangerous to merge Miraculous you'll have to much power and couod Lose Your Mind" and thats whats happening to Gabriel and side note its implied that he dosent know that after using hos Miraculous he needs to feed the Kwami maning hes been Starving Noroo and that could also be affecting him
Well hawk daddy had an obvious choice to make on one hand he could have saved his wife and his dying assistant but went after the obsetion of defeting a couple of teenagers for 2 pieces of jewelry
The thing is, Gabriel is too obsessed in defeating Ladybug, but in addition using too many miraculous at the same time can make you lose your psychy. Meaning that he's losing his mind slowly, and unable to make rational decisions. All he cares about now is defeating Ladybug and not his wife.
