I understand Michael Caine was a lot of people’s favorite Alfred but let’s be honest Michael Gough matches the class and snark of Alfred. He is our Alfred. Not the one we needed. But the one we deserved

Who would have thought without the 1943 serial, we never would have saw the classic skinny Alfred with the pencil thin mustache?

Micheal Mah'moud well... I knew it was this potrayal of Alfred that influenced his actual appearance in the comics (not the other way around)... in his first appearance in the comics, Alfred was actually a fat guy with no mustache!

Interesting that Michael Gough was Alfred in all four movies of the Burton/Schumacher ones but there were three different actors as Batman and two as Harvey Dent.

As great as the later actors are, and of course Michael Caine is awesome in everything he's done, but to me Alan Napier is the definitive Alfred.

As much as I like the others portrayals of Alfred I prefer the different take on Alfred that Jeremy irons had. I would have liked to see Christian Bale’s Batman and Jeremy irons Alfred together. I also would have liked Christian Bale’s Batman vs Brandon Rouths Superman
