of course my favorite is the Disneyland Paris one ^^

My favorite is still the one in Paris! It looks so beautiful and you can really explore the inside. And it's the only one with a full size dragon!

My favorite Disney castle has to be Sleeping Beauty Castle in DisneyLand Anaheim, I get a lot of value in knowing that it's the one that Walt built, it's the one that started it all

I love Disneyland! I live in Phoenix, AZ and we go every year. But, my all time favorite Disney castle, is Sleeping Beauty Castle in Paris. To me that is the most beautiful castle that Disney has ever built. Nicely detailed! I can't wait to see the new Hong Kong Disneyland castle once its remodeled.

Disneyland Paris' Sleeping Beauty Castle is my favorite castle but the only ones I've visited is Disneyland's and Walt Disney World's.

I've been to Paris multiple times and I love that castle and it's nice to know it was the first one to perfectly replicate the one from the movie.

Literally every time I see the Shanghai castle I'm in awe. Every single time. Can't wait to visit!

Personal favorite is Cinderella's at Magic Kingdom. Besides growning up there, it's cool to see it when you take the ferry across the Seven Sea Lagoon.

I've only been to Paris' Sleeping Beauty but wow Cinderellas looks breathtaking. It's a shame other parks copied instead of taking an unused Princess Castle. The mashup castle is an interesting one too

The Paris castle will forever remain to be my favorite Disney Castle because it gives me the most medieval vibes but also has a Disney shimmer to it :)

Cinderella's castle at WDW is the best IMO. Not too big, not too small, it's just right.

I love all of them but Paris I think is the prettiest but I also love the idea of having a boat ride in the castle moat like Shanghai has. I have been to both Disney land and world. Btw, please do the evolution of the princesses that appeared in the parks

Next you should do evolution of cast costumes, you could use the princesses for this as they have had the most I think due to their redesign in 2012

Of course Cinderella Castle in WDW is my favorite! I have visited that one and Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland Cali, but none of the other ones.

But what about the soon to be upgraded castle coming to Hong Kong disneyland?

My favorite is the one from Disneyland Paris, Shangai is awesome too.

Disneyworld’s is the most iconic, though I think Paris’s is the best designed and I love how it’s the same castle as Disneyland but it’s also completely different.

I love the one in WDW because (this sounds kind of biased) I went there every since my family has gone to Florida so it has a special place in my heart but the one in Paris looks amazing

I’ve only ever seen WDW Cinderella Castle in person, but I think Shanghai might be my favorite. I love how it’s a mashup of several Castle designs, and it includes such great nods to Chinese culture. It’s just the most impressive out of any of the castles, in my opinion

This video doesn't mention the two most unique castles built for a Disney park. Both of them found at Tokyo DisneySea. The Exploration Fortress and the Mermaid Lagoon castle.

My family won the night in the Royal Suite during Year of a Million Dreams. It is absolutely magical in there. You can feel Walt in there.

I've seen three of the six up close and personal; Sleeping Beauty Castle at both Disneyland and Disneyland Paris, and Cinderella Castle in Walt Disney World. I'd love to visit the other three, though I hear that Hong Kong is getting a new castle.

The Cinderella Castle in Orlando is the best, in my opinion - it's easily large enough to be imposing, impressive and spectacular, unlike it's LA counterpart, and out of the larger ones, is much more minimalistic, and so I think looks better(there's too much going on in some Disney castles, especially the one in Paris).

Castle history and education is one of my favorite things in Disney so I hope to see more of these and I most definitely subscribed

Fascinating. I always knew they were different, but it really helps to see them presented together. I find the Magic Kingdom Cinderella castle the least impressive; no wonder I never understood why the castles were seen as a big deal before. Seeing the others, now I understand.

You forgot that Hong Kong’s castle is getting a MAJOR upgrade!!

The Cinderella Castle is actually 11 feet from requiring a red light by the FAA. The Hollywood Tower of Terror falls just one foot short.

Other Disney History Ideas: "The Lost Weekend", more character evolution videos, Training on being a Disney Park Princess (has this changed at all?), change of the firework and light shows, when did wearing mickey ears to the park start etc., which park has the most visitors etc., process of buying rights to Star Wars and what has evolved since, highlight some of the top animators over the years, what voice actors/actress go along with each princess and prince, How have the looks of the princess outfits changed at the park, Why can people dress up and wear more costumes at Tokyo Disney but not the other parks......

You should do an evolution of the Haunted Mansions in Disney Theme Parks, including Mystic Manor at Hong Kong Disney!

I'm sure you're aware, but just in case, there's an interesting anecdote about the original Castle and California's DisneyLand. Walt was concerned that work was running behind, and with opening day looming, the castle was not yet complete. Engineers worked through the night to drop into place the upper floors (above the visible outer wall), which were constructed as a single unit. They breathed a collective sigh of relief, when finally getting the facade locked, and bolted into place, just before Walt was due to arrive. Suddenly, one of the engineers looked at the plans, and realized they'd made a very, very big mistake. The upper floors facade had been placed on the bottom BACKWARDS! There was no time to change it, and they knew the boss (who was due any moment) would certainly notice that the castle, as it now stood, did not reflect the original plans or model. Walt did show, and did immediately see the mistake. He is reported to have said "It's backwards." He then paused a moment, and said "It looks better this way," and walked away. So, the castle was left as is, and remains that way, today.

FAA requires a flashing light at 200', not 190'. There are actually two buildings on Walt Disney World property TALLER than Cinderella Castle: Tower of Terror and Expedition Everest at 199' and 199'6" respectively.

Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World is the undisputed champion in my book; I can't help but break into a gigantic smile every time I see it, especially the view of it from the end of Main Street USA - the castle at Disneyland is just so underwhelming by comparison.

We need an updated version of this Dan! Disney have (and still are) built so many castles since.

FYI, the "Cinderella Royal Table Restaurant" was originally named "King Stephen's Banquet Hall" when it first opened, and remained that name at least until 1982. My family ate there when we were at WDW for the opening week of EPCOT. In addition, one interesting fact about the design of the original Sleeping Beauty's Castle in Disneyland, the main upper section for he castle was originally designed to face the other direction. In the original design looked a lot more like it's real-life inspiration, the Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria. However when Walt and Herb Ryman were reviewing large scale model of the park, Herb thought the castle didn't look right, and rotated the upper half of the model (which was a separate piece) 180º and Walt instantly agreed it looked better that way. And the iconic look of the castle was cemented into place.

Sleeping Beauty Castle, California: Classic and Magical; First Castle Sleeping Beauty Castle, Hong Kong: Authentic and Fantasic Sleeping Beauty Castle, Paris: Beautiful and True to the Movie Cinderella Castle, Florida: Most Stable (and my personal favorite) Cinderella Castle, Tokyo: Interesting Color Scheme (I couldn't find anything really special about it) Storybook Castle, Shanghai: largest and most visually pleasing, also most original.

I've only been to Orlando's & Paris' castles. It's kind of disappointing that there isn't a walk-through attraction inside the castle in Orlando, since it's otherwise so huge.

God I hate that Shanghai castle! Bigger doesn't mean better, it is impressively big but messy and ugly, Sleeping Beauty Castle in Paris isn't the biggest Disney Castle but is definitely the most beautiful!

The zodiac mosaics are actually separated from the castle itself. Inside the castle there are four large mosaics however representing Frozen, Tangled, Brave, and Princess and the Frog respectfully. There is also a walkthrough depicting Snow White and the seven dwarfs similar to the sleeping beauty walk-thru in Anaheim. If you'd like pictures from Shanghai Disneyland for future episodes feel free to ask. I live in the area and have been nearly 10 times. Don't forget King Triton's castle at Tokyo Seas.... My Fave is Disneyland Paris' Sleeping Beauty Castle! They are all so Beautiful in their own right. I've only been to Disneyland.

I am about to embark on a journey to Hong Kong later today, and I have to talk about the new "Castle of Magical Dreams" in Hong Kong that @TPMvids said the concept art was really hockey with the orange flags and other features. Then, I saw some photos of the castle IRL and the orange flags were scraped and the orange colour on the castle was instead a coral colour similar to Shang Hai. Though now I think it does work, I wish instead of the heavy white and gold, they could stick with the blue roofs and pink or grey colour associated with the Disney castles. The gold accents should be on some lower spires, and the coral could be melded at the base. Overall, the original concept art for the new castle is much better, in my opinion.

My favorite will always be Cinderella's Castle. However, I'm very biased because I'm from the East Coast side of the U.S. and so I've always been to Disney World. I haven't been near those other castles so I don't have the glowing nostalgia for them. However I think they are all lovely and would visit them all if I could! Of all of the ones shown, I'd love to visit the Paris Sleeping Beauty castle the most. I love that movie and adore the way they made it look more accurate to the film.

Brilliant. Cinderella castle at magic kingdom in Walt Disney World resort is my favorite and I’ve visited Disney World twice. Did you also know the castle has a lightning rod which makes the castle immune to lightning during a thunderstorm? I would also like to eat in that restaurant in the castle and there’s also a secret hotel in there too.

Actually, Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland started construction after the erection of the steel structures for Main Street in March of 1955 (not over a year before opening). The design work was finished in early April 1954.

The Hong Kong castle is also smaller by 2+ feet compared to it's California twin. This was so the real mountains in the background would appear larger.

Been to California's, Florida's and Paris parks. Didn't explore inside Florida's castle but did the other 2. Although California castle gas a certain feeling being the original walk through is crampted, my vote for best is Paris when built had a true vision for attractions and look with land scape is amazing. As well Paris has a castle stage but side so will not disrupt view or flow of traffic.

Every disneyland castle: Disneyland- I'll give it some slack for not being as cool, since it was the first one Magic Kingdom- big step up Tokyo- same thing here Paris- pure magic Hong Kong- this isn't your first castle, this was cheap, and I can't wait for the new, more original castle Shanghai- pretty thicc, yeah morst of the 5 billion dollar budget went to this, that and the Tron ride.
