Evolution of Chuck E Cheese! 

1991-2012 brings me back to good old days...

I was born in 2007, so I grow up with 1994 chuck e cheese and 2012 chuck d cheese, my favorite one is 1977 chuck e cheese

I like the 1994 one. I grew up with that one and when i saw the new one from 2012 i instantly felt my childhood being ripped out of my heart.

Also, you mean to say that Duncan Brannon Voiced Chuck E from 1993 to 2012. Chuck E Officially Transitioned from Tux Chuck (1993 to 1994) to Duncan's Second voice (Duncan Chuck then Avenger Chuck) from 1996 to 2012 first Appearing in the Awesome Adventure Machine in the Texas Montfort Store in 1996. 4. You mean "Pizza Time Theater" not "Pizza Shop" or "Arcade", etc.. 5. The ad you showed of the Chuck E with the Yellow Diamond vest was the Chuck E that came out in May of 1981. Has noothhiing to do with the 1977 Chuck E with the Cigar and the Cane (He stopped smoking in 1980) 6. The Chuck E you showed Prior with the Red Derby and Red vest came out in 1982 (also, no relation to the 1977 Chuck E.) 7. Avenger Chuck E was NOT "the Second Chuck E". He was more like the 5th out of 6 Chuck E's.

Here's the reason why they Changed Avenger Chuck to RockStar Chuck: On May 3rd, 2012 it was announced that Chuck E. Cheese would be getting a makeover in order to combat a first quarter slide in sales, revenue, and profits. CEC said it's revenue at its locations that were open at least a year fell 4.2 percent in the first quarter and lowered its outlook for the year. CEC Entertainment needed to give Chuck E a Make-over and new advertising to boost sales as the business was struggling to revive those sales from it's more then 500 pizza restaurants in 2012 (Today we have over 600 Locations!). They couldn't keep Chuck E the same or they would continue to lose sales... so, they changed him to fit with the times by making him more contemporary (i.e. Losing Weight. More modern clothes. CGI like Pixar/Dreamworks, etc.). It's just like how in 1980 they had to make Chuck E quit smoking to keep with the new awareness of the health issues of smoking. Or like how in 1994 they started removing the bow tie to Tux Chuck and Changed Chuck E From a street-wise New Jersey rat to a sporty mouse to both compete with Discovery Zone, who's activities were more active, (that's also why CEC got in Sky Tubes) and pander to the child audience by creating a more "friendly image" to boost sales. This eventually worked because Discovery Zone went out of business because of CEC and CEC still stays in business to this day because of it's change in sales tactics and advertising.

I think it would have been better if the present day Chuck E Cheese was the same as the one before except they kept the snapback cap and made him big again. That would've been way better.

Sadly in 2020, they were starting to reband, stages were being removed from locations and being replaced by dance floors. The company says all location will be remodeled by 2023.

To me the second and todays Chuck.E.Cheese looks like more kid friendly. What I'am trying to say is that maybe the company was trying to make ChuckE more kid friendly though out the years and finally they found their ChuckE.
