Princess Peach doesn’t have to take the damsel in distress role anymore. In fact, she shouldn’t. She should now take the heroine (or rather ‘shero’) role.

When she’s in trouble, she waits to be rescued. When someone else is in trouble, she plays as the hero whenever she wants, as said in Super Mario Party.

Even in depicted in Death Battle, she can hold her own against enemies. Though against Bowser, I suppose it's pretty easy for her to be defeated and kidnapped against someone who bathes in lava regularly, and can grow in size.

They really need to make Princess Peach playable in mainline games rather than just a damsel in distress. I also find it ironic how people act like she gets kidnapped over 9,000 times or whatever, when in reality, she gets kidnapped 29 times per Mario game.

She is playable in either 2 or 3 mainline Mario games (not too sure if Super Mario Run counts). Also, at least she doesn’t get kidnapped in Super Mario Bros. 2 (the only old 2D Mario game where she doesn’t get kidnapped), Super Mario Land, Super Mario Land 2, and Super Mario 3D World. 😉👍

@@xanthixeclipse I agree Age of Calamity (outside of Cadence of Hyrule) is the one instance where Zelda finally breaks the mold and joins in the action. Then I get disappointed yes again that the story isn't canon by Nintendo's refusal to make her a strong female character in canon. And even so this doesn't excuse the amount of times Peach is useful over Zelda.

My favorite part of every Mario adventure game ever! I know Peach is not very smart because she’s always getting trapped in those towers, but so what? If it weren’t for Bowser kidnapping her, there would be no plot, no conflict and no game or story, and Mario wouldn’t have gotten the chance of being a hero. Plus, Peach is a playable character in some Mario games and can fight like other characters.
