I have the Pintler on that frame it’s the best. It’s beefy enough and rigid enough to pack out elk meat in Montana next week while also being a bit smaller than the metcalf and bear tooth for more mobile hunting during the archery season, then I’ll be bringing it back to Pennsylvania and hunting whitetail with it in November, I love it.
I love this frame. I have the Metcalf I use for my BIVY hunt and fishing trips, and I also have the popup 28 I use for my whitetail tree saddle set up. They are both by far the most comfortable packs I have every worn!
I bought a Sawtooth pack and I will be using it on 4 hunts this year, two elk, two deer. I have it it fully loaded with what I’ll be carrying, weighing in at 38lbs. It feels good and distributes the weight great. I’ll let you know what I think nexts week after I get back from my first elk hunt and again at the end of the season, but so far I’m impressed!!
I love my Pintler! Best pack I’ve ever had. I have packed out elk on it and it was definitely an upgrade from the Badlands 2200 that I used for many years. I strongly recommend the Mystery Ranch brand.
