I'm glad that they brought Vito and gave him character development. My jaw dropped when they reveal that it was Joe and Vito who killed Tommy. 🤭 It's crazy that he was in all 3 games.
@@danielmosny5668 His idea of Mafia 3 story was very nice. Personally, the only series with this scheme i know is "The Getaway", but unless you have PlayStation 2, good luck with playing it. Also those two games were original, but mediocre
yeah, lots of people even refused to continue to play Mafia 2 after this exact cutscene, they was pissed off that *citation* these two fuckers killed legendary Tommy Angelo🙄 I mean,, yeah Tommy was badass but he lived too long anyway, they do just their job
@@PJS-7K- when I found out that vito and joe killed Tommy I wad mad but when I watch them talk before they killed Tommy, Understand who told them and now I blame the don
As a kid i always wondered why did Tommy answer his name like that as if he wasn't hiding. Thats why mafia new updated game was a better finish because he knew he was screwed
Something about seeing Vito living to be really old feels weird, but good. Like after all the shit he went through he was able to stay at the top of New Bordeaux
Man Tommy was a protagonist who the players loved and grew very attached to.. yet Vito and Joe killed him off like he was nothing just shows we don't know who anyone is and what they're going through we treat them all the same..
@@aidaa12346 Man you know that the mafia should not be painted as a good thing right? You know that the game gave a good image of how bad the mafia is? And you are just here speaking about omertà or other shit.
@@karimtijane178 im not saying its a good thing im just saying that he broke the code of silence(omerta) which he swore not to do and that he paid the price for it
@@aidaa12346 Salieri started selling drugs, that is against the family values too.He then got mad when Tommy and Paulie wanted to get themselves out of the business. That was the best thing to do. The game shows how bad the mafia is and you should stop thinking Tommy deserved that because he was forced to join the family or else he would have been haunted from the Morello family
@@karimtijane178 dude im not saying the mafia is good or anything im just saying that tommy deserved to die he broke the omerta which your not allowed to do in that life PS you should definetly check out the original ending where its explained better
My favorite mafia character. Learned everything from him. Dodged bullets in Europe. Mafia 2 was the best game of our generation. I still play it to this day.
@@floatingdisembodiedhead8975 Still, lifelong friends, to be separated like that. It would've been fine if Vito and Joe parted ways amicably, but Joe got murdered.
@@LikeAChameleon Yeah. Lincoln did good by donating his money to charity and helping rebuild the city. Vito did good by doing nothing but not letting the city fall. Burke did bad by turning the city into a lawless gang ruling city. Cassandra did bad by turning the city into a ghost town with to many gang wars.
I played and 100% the new Mafia1. Loved the story as I didn't play it before, loved the gameplay, the driving, the missions, the story just everything. Mafia2 definitive edition was a huge let down compared and I genuinely preferred the storyline, controls and gameplay on 1 even though everyone raves about 2
Original Mafia II's Vito is hands down the best looking. In Mafia DE, Vito looks pretty bad in the final cutscene, but his free roam model is near perfect...somehow
Its because mafia 2 already had good looking graphics and really perfectly tuned lighting. DE added crappy post processing and muddy textures that didnt do most faces justice.
In the final cutscene after "Joe wasn't part of our deal" his eyes look real sad like at the start of the game when he gets busted by the cops and in those photos. Also they didn't bother to use the Mafia 2 Defintive Edition photos in Mafia 3 which is dumb. The graphics are a bit better in Mafia 2 Defintive Edition but boy are the bugs what I hate the most. Only thing which I could say it's better is it recognises the Gamepad buttons than the Original but there might be a mod to fix that in the OG.
@@laughingbob5786 its because someone else made the motion cap, thats why his face dosent look 100% accurate, and you dont bullshit nobody, the lighting in DE is def better, in mafia 2 they would have just blured the fuck out of them
Vitos ending in mafia 3 should be canon because it would show that despite the obstacles and tragedies that hit Vito, it’s worth the long term gain that he would control Nee Bordeaux. And the way he governs his New Bordeaux criminal empire is more stable than Cassandra’s or Burke’s way of running the city.
One thing I never got about tommy original speech at the end was he said “The peace was interrupted by the war but we got through It.” But he served 1938-1946 which is 8 years and ww2 lasted too 1939-1945 he was in prison when this so called peace was broke.
@@coochieman3178 Mafia 3 wasn't shit. Sure, the gameplay was repetitive but the narration, story and atmosphere were top notch. You can't tell me that Donovan for example was a bad character.
Off topic of Vito but I personally think Tommy looks better in Mafia definitive edition and his "Yes" seems more accepting of his fate because he knew it was going to happen its better than the "Uh Yes?"
It's a shame we never got to see the 04 version of Mafia II out of the press demo. It looks really interesting, I wonder how much more different it is too, it being in a updated version of Mafia's OG engine and the plot difference also, before 2K ruined the whole thing.
It was exactly the same as in the released game, the development took so long because the game was supposed to get released in 2006, but then PS3 and Xbox 360 came out and they had to switch from L3DS engine to The Illusion Engine, which also took a long time to develop since it's their own engine, and a lot more things slowed down the development...
When I saw "Mafia II (2004)" I was like "What? No, it came out in 2010" and then I realised that they already started working on it in that exact year. I never knew that Mafia II was in works that early.
I love how in Mafia Definitive Edition it shows Tommy just throw the hose to the ground accepting his fate and when he says yes he knows what’s happening but stays strong until he gets shot just standing there with a smile. I just think it’s a nice subtle change to show Tommy came full circle, he was introduced to the mob and died by their hand which is what the message of the game is which is you can’t escape your past in the world of crime!!!
@Eric Nunez Robles Let's add... an ex hitman, who was tough only during work, however, beside of that had moral and personal dilemma. He ratted out Mafia, and when called by his name by random people proved he was who they were looking for
I think it's a pity that 2k cech developers didn't upload Mafia II 2004 version in the internet for free. Would love to play even a demo to see mafia 2 on mafia 1 engine.
Mafia definitive edition was truly the best version. In the other games tommy is shocked that he was discovered and killed alone in cold blood. In the definitive version he accepts his time has come her stares at Vito and Joe with no fear knowing his death means his families safety. He doesn't die alone in shock he dies with his loved ones and accepting.
In Mafia 2 Alpha he kinda looked like in 2002 game, but later they completely changed him to look just like young Marlon Brando. I might be wrong, but I think the idea for a little older and (let's be honest) experienced Vito could be better for story
absolutely beautiful comparison! in 2004 they kinda made him look like a 2000's gangster from jersey in my opinion, and in 2007 he lacked that "main character" vibe. glad they changed it! He's easily one of the most memorable protagonists out there!
Obviously when you name a mobster protagonist Vito comparisons to Don Corleone become inevitable, and what I like is that both characters’ fathers were named Antonio.
So you're saying Vito lied when he said he believes Joe is dead (Mafia 3 Vitos loyalty missions, I need a favor) he reveals that he believes Joe was killed in Chicago. Joe is no longer part of Mafia, let it go. You and millions of others still think they'll being Joe back. Haha 🤣 keep on wishing
@@namedoesntmatter9330 Is there a comment which got deleted here or something? But even still I don't think he lied. And also I think that Eddie is the one who died instead of Joe. Some videos suggested that too.
Seeing Vito and Joe killing Tommy feels just like when Trevor kills Johnny in GTA 5. And considering the fact that protagonist successors kill previous protagonists from previous game in the seriess
@@JohnDonovan1968 He wasn't greedy, lmao, at least not in Mafia II, he was someone who tried to be as successful as possible, he despised his poor life so much he wanted to be out of it as far as he could, that's the point of his character.
@@danwordgod2017 Nope he was greedy. He could get all his muneh back by *waiting* but instead he choose to fallow a rat. Vito's a terrible greedy person with a huge pride. I was so disappointed when he changed for the worst, i was expecting him to be a noble mobster who didn't forgot about his origins (you know... Like the Legendary VIto Corleone) but unfortunately no... He turned into a cold blood hot blooded asshole.
I don't get why they make Tommy and Vito look so old in the sequel games. Tommy is like 50 in mafia 2 and vito should be 42 or something? They look 15 years older
Pre-Alpha Vito does look like the skinny mook who delivered the message to Angelo before his death, makes me think if playing as one of Angelo's killer was always intended
Followed by all the shit and nightmares that he experienced in the world of crime since young too. It captures his quote in chapter 15 I wanted money, cars, women, respect, and freedom... I got all of that more less, but following those were prison, fear, and the lives of my friends.
