The @OhioStateReformatory holds many mysteries and tragic stories within its walls. It is that one place that calls to us and because of that, we have been revisiting some of the footage we documented when we last investigated there with an amazing group of friends. Amy and Ryan from @FullDarkParanormal, Chris Stanton from @StantonsJourneys (also BAPS), Tylor from @bapsbrunswickareaparanorma3281 and Tamra Bana. You know those memories that follow you throughout your life? The ones that, if you close your eyes, brings you happiness and joy? Well, for me (Jen), this trip to OSR created many of those treasured memories. One of those memories was captured on film.
On February 6 1960, inmate James Lockhart committed suicide by setting himself on fire with lighter fluid and a match. James was 22 years old. We set out to see if we could communicate with James. The following footage is the review of an evp session we held in his cell and was, in my opinion, one of the most staggering moments in my experience as a paranormal investigator. You see, it is not just what you hear, but how a place makes you feel. Ant this, this moment, and many others from that night, is why we do what we do. It's a love affair really. A longing to learn the mysteries of death and for gaining insight on the afterlife. Can our spirits linger beyond death and in some way communicate?
