Remove grease zest and drill hole in shaft and use punch to hold shaft

just hit he shaft upwards from bottom. replace bearings while having it apart

could you no tap it up from underneath. sounds pretty easy to me. you are working way to hard. I have spindles just like them on my mower.

The way it broke was mushroomed and slightly bent, so it would not make through the bearing race
