I had a former LDS member tell me that he left the church because he just got sick of trying to defend it. Being faced with reality and actual evidence is no fun if you're a dedicated member of the "one true church". What it takes to sustain faith in Smith and his creation is the suspension of reality. I really do feel sorry for these LDS folks for whom the one true church defines their life. But there is Good News for those who will take a step away from the LDS religious system and into the arms of the Lord Jesus Christ. Grant, Earl and many others who were born into the "covenant" took a courageous step knowing that eventually leaving the church would be at no small cost.
I understand there are many churches but none of these church’s have ever claimed any fulfillment of prophecy The difference with the LDS Church is it is built on revelation just as was in the New Testament when Jesus went to Heaven he still worked with his Apostles through revelation. (Matt. 16: 18) Jesus kept his promise that he would build his church in these last days. So it seems reasonable that Jesus would use his church to preform the miracles of fulfilling the prophecies. Ever since Joseph received revelation from God people have condemn him by saying that there can not be any more revelation from God we have the Bible and that is all we need. By doing so they have denied Jesus’s prophesies because Jesus prophesies can only come by revelation. So if you have any objections towards the LDS church Your objections are invalid because the people that come up with objections have only two choices ether they are saying that Jesus is a false Prophet and none of these latter-day Bible prophesies will be fulfilled because no other church has ever claimed fulfillment or the LDS church is Jesus's church and he is using his church to bring to pass his prophesies.
Wow. You are so sure of yourself-that must be nice. Are you familiar with the term, "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence"? Some use of the scientific or even Socratic method will do you some great good. I would argue that both of your premises are abjectly false and I will maintain that until proven differently. You cannot say things without backup. On another note, why would God be revealing anything so important to such a criminal/fraudulent man such as Joseph Smith. Do some research, outside of Mormon literature on who Joseph Smith actually was.
I know that Jesus cannot lie and he keeps his promises when he said that he would restore his Church in the last days. That church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is the only Church that Jesus is using to bring to pass the end time fulfillment of Bible prophecies or promises. No other Christian denomination has ever claimed the fulfillment of these prophesies. Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. (Who will Elijah go to, this has to happen before Jesus comes?) The Book of Mormon is a fulfillment of Bible prophecy, it is the second witness of Jesus Christ. Ezekiel 37:16 Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions: Ezekiel 37:19 Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand. Fulfillment The Bible and the B of M are one in mine hand. Revelation 5:1 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. Has this scripture been fulfilled ? How will you know? How important do you think it is for all of Jesus ‘s prophecies from the Bible to be fulfilled. They are not fulfilled in the Catholic Church. Born again Church, Lutheran Church, Protestant Church not even the Exmormon Church has claimed any fulfillment of these examples I have given you. Sooner or later you will have to make a choice between accepting The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints is the true Church that Jesus is using his Church or you can ignore Jesus and his promises and one of his promises is forgiveness oops do you really want do ignore this one.
Apparently you do not believe the Bible because if you did, you would see that the Book of Mormon is a fulfillment of Bible prophecy . The restored Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints is the fulfillment of Bible prophecy. No other Christian denomination has ever come up with end time fulfillment of prophesies. Jesus is using his church to bring about more prophesies and Jesus is always right.
