I’ve been a Christian most of my 72 years, or at least whenever it didn’t interfere with what I wanted to do. What led me back; was my dog. He was my best friend and my constant companion. I got a call from my Veterinarian, the lab report said Reggie had an aggressive cancer and didn’t have long to live. I knew his only chance was if the Lord intervened. I prayed like I had never prayed before. Walking on a beach one morning, praying for Reggie, the Lord spoke to me to stop praying for healing and start praying a prayer of Thanksgiving; Reggie was healed. We had another 2 1/2 years of love and companionship. Reggie has passed on, but I know one day we’ll be together again. I have a closer relationship with the Lord than ever before. As a Christian man, I love learning about the world from a point of view coming from the opposite sex in my quest to understand everything and, as a man, I can identify with all the trials both of you have gone through. As a somewhat celibate man most of my life due in particular to a shyness I had as a teen, I identify with the desire to have had a ho phase. What did I miss out on? As a decent looking guy, I was kind of oblivious to people around me due to my low self-esteem and shyness I feel like I missed out on experiences I should have had. I was also a goody-goody which I hated. My older brother was the rebellious kid and caused a lot of strife when I was growing up. My parents were great and didn't deserve the fruits of my brother's rebellion so I had to be the good kid. I resent that to this day and still hold a lot of that baggage in my soul. Now I looked my life in retrospect, I would called the desires of mine as sinful desires, which drive the motivation in every decision I made that led me to misery. I had similar experience as Angela, I sought for attention, I wanted love, those desires made me to go against Lord in a lot of ways becuase I thought I was being promised happiness if I put my need and desire at the frontline above everything. I was doing so wrong for seeking attention from men with a low self-esteem. I believe that Jesus didn't come here to die, but rather to live. We have been taught to develop a loving, natural relationship with God, and it was US who formalized this teaching into a religion. Jesus broke us free from the dogmatic approach, and introduced the idea that our relationship with God can be one of a loving Creator-Father and a loving Creature-Child. As a man I can say we need beautiful women like Angelic who value godly life. We men are wired biologically to pay attention to beautiful women and consequently they have a certain authority over us. When they use this authority to encourage life with God as opposed to luring into physical pleasures then this has enormous positive consequences on men - especially those men who still live in worldly ways and are lost in their own lust. I love how you two have put it about responsibility on women clothing. The bible says whoever looks at a woman to lust after her her, he has already commited aldultery with her. So that sin he is going to answer it with you who made him commit. Because without you dressing like that he wouldnt have commited it. So in this case many women will answer for aldultery in the end. We can all feel like that but we can rejoice in the fact that by Jesus Grace have we been made worthy in the eyes of the Lord, and we have been given the comfort of the indwelling Holy Spirit who we can pray to for hope courage and discernment. It is the Holy Spirit that intercedes when we do not know what to pray or what to ask. God found you and he will continue the work he started in you to the end.
