Love your videos and as a diesel powered XC90 owner really interested in your thoughts on the EX90. The thought of charging does make my palms sweat at the moment but maybe this will change my thoughts on electric as it is a beautiful car. Just so you know on price here in the UK. A top spec T8 XC90 is around £74,000 after a £10,000 discount they have at the minute whereas a twin performance EX90 (we can only spec the top spec one) is £104,000!!! Quite a massive jump more so was really shocked to find it cheaper in Norway! Also on the XC90 you can’t configure them at the moment on the Volvo UK configurator. When I asked Volvo on line was told all the building slots were full but would reopen at some point. I did ask if it would look slightly different when it does reopen and was told they couldn’t comment! I’m guessing it will be! 😉
Maroon brown perforated+ventilated leather seats in XC90 is twice as luxurious as seats in EX90. EX90 inside is like minimalist and environmental friendly. I like the tail light in EX90 better though.
I would definitely pay the 100k premium for the EX90 in Sweden, you’ll save it back on fuel eventually anyways, and BEVs are far superior driving experience. But I can’t imagine anyone buying the XC90 in Norway, I mean, even the range is about the same and the T8 can’t really tow due to its fragile drivetrain.
100 K are quite much. Will take a while to save it in, but see your point 👍 The range are superior on the Plug-In Hybrids. Not to mention the 5 min petrol stop vs 20-30 min recharging a BEV.. They have different strengths, but there's no EV that can beat a ice car when talking range.
@@volvo_kristian it depends how long you plan to own it of course. But the range of some hybrids are not good, the fuel tank on a V90 is small, with the t8 trim, I was not very impressed by the range. Idk about xc90 though.
Yeah Volvo's first Plug-In Hybrids on the SPA platform only had 50l fuel tank. Just ridiculous. Then from MY19 the V/S cars got 60l and the XC cars got 70 liters. So the same as regular ice versions 👍 So the range are quite good. I can easily drive the 600km Oslo-Gothenburg-Oslo on one tank of fuel with my S60 T8 PE. Even with good speed on the highway, and still much fuel left on the tank when getting back..
@georgeshammam Thanks 😊 Well I thought it looked really good, and loved to see that it also included a inner armrest. Towards the middle. Another huge benefit are easier access to the 3.row.
@st4rbuk That depends on market. Here in Norway we only have the Plug-In Hybrid XC90 since that's what 90% of the customers went for. Especially now since Volvo doesn't produce the diesel mild hybrid, that we use to have. So here we only go T6/T8 Plug-In on all Volvo's models. Beside the full electric ones
Let's be serious: It is not possible to go off-road in the middle of mountains or lakes with an "electric" vehicle. Volvo XC 90 is a better choice for this target.
@@privettoli Yes. very serious. Here in Chile (South America), Volvo is a premium brand, but highly valued (along with Subaru) for its safety and for traveling off-road to the mountains or on vacation to the southern lakes.
@fmsantoscar Yeah, can see your point. But then again. How many cars will they deliver before the software are done? And what's the alternative? Wait even longer with deliveries? I think I would rather have the car at 90% then wait 6 months longer.
@@volvo_kristian I agree! I ordered mine 17 Jan 2023 and I prefer to have the car delivered with future over-the-air updates, rather than waiting even longer.
@BabyKermit_ Yeah, it's a stylish color 😎 I'm like 98% sure this was Silver Dawn. Will be dropping more pictures of this exact car on Saturday on my Instagram channel. Oh nice. When do you have estimated delivery?
