@@templarknightac I know right? It's ridiculous since we've reached a point in graphical fidelity where games still look decent on low settings. All I can think is these people are either contrarians or literal children who haven't watched the break-neck speed of graphical improvement for the past 40 years of gaming, and therefore can't appreciate how phenomenal games look nowadays. The kids I can excuse because of the lack of life experience. But grown ass men complaining how "bad" it looks? They oughta know better.
@@templarknightac I feel like these days there are people online who hate wonderful things just for the sake of being contrarian/ edgy. But those people are crazy.
As somebody who has primarily played anomaly and G.A.M.M.A it seems very similar to both of those mods. Obviously there's not a super in-depth crafting or healing system but it seems like they have balanced the game to make it so the player is at the mercy of the zone which is the real draw of anomaly/gamma. Always nice to see another stalker purist gatekeeper though.
These new previews coming out made me pre-order today for the 1st time since Resident Evil 3 remake. I promised myself never again but I just couldn't help it. I'm eating healthy, working out and sleeping early untill release. My body and soul WILL be ready.
Totally agree. I bought the first ones at launch/close to launch and even tho the engine was a shitshow this was very very memorable. Also best atmosphere ever.
If this game is already this impressive as you described, it's just gonna get better and better through years because, BE HOLD! THE MODDERS! I believe we won't even need S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 3 for the next 15 years
@@itsvalar3643then play gamma if the shooting is "janky", half of you western goobers use the word "jank" when you don't like a feature or think the game is too easy.
Stalker is supposed to be a more difficult game, where it leaves you wondering "How did I just die?". It is not meant to be another fallout or metro. It is that mystery and the fact behind every death there is a reason that makes the game fun and rewarding. Can this be frustrating sometimes? Yes of course, but it's a singleplayer game with manual save functionality and difficulty options, you can decide how frustrating you want it to be. Plus how dull the world would be if all games were easy and the same.
@@bombyo3634don't insult Fallout by comparing it to GTA. GTA is a title that has a 90% barren world, whilst Fallout is a literal wasteland with a more alive and interesting world. GTA is the most overrated franchise in gaming imo.
@geddybear9108 well in fall out u can do anything. Rob steal kill......gta you can do that too. Metro u can't u only can shoot enemies. So it's similar in ways lol. I get what your saying by saying it's different I just meant the sense of freedom to do anything is like GTA That's why people love RPG those games
@bombyo3634 The elusion of freedom in GTA is what makes its overrated to me. You're completely correct that Metro is nothing like Fallout other than it's post apocalypse setting. But in GTA there is no freedom, you have no choices, you can shoot and rob people sure but only pedestrians and non essential characters, shoot somebody important? Restart checkpoint. Took a wrong turn in a mission? Restart checkpoint. GTA is a game world that does a great job at faking how alive it is, its like looking at what you think is a sports car from 100 ft away only to realise it's a cardboard cutout when you get close. As wide as an ocean, but as deep as a puddle comes to mind.
@geddybear9108 I'm not a GTA fan though so I can agree. I played 5 and found the story more expensive then I thought it would be. Being able to work stocks was exciting I never seen thatcin a game......then I git bored lol Gta needs a real story. I'm scared that what if stalker 2 isn't for Me. I want it to be. I played the release on console not long ago as like a demoi liked some of what I seen. It definitely had an atmosphere and was different graphics were horrible but better then when released. I just want a Game with beautiful graphics to play on xbox. I seen a story that enthralls me...I worried combat might now. I have over 4pp hrs in bg3 so i love story....combat is very slow paced....I just don't know what stalker will be. I plan to buy it
So far it looks exactly how i want Stalker 2 to be. Not a gamma/misery/autumn aurora, and not a brain dead call of duty. Just normal regular continuation of stalker franchise. Hardcore mods will come in time im sure.
Will there be moment like on old games where enemies can surprise you, like jumpscare you for a moment before you take the gun to try to defend yourself?
Looks amazing thanks in my opinion to the Unreal 5 engine in part, and the design imagery. Are there new types of buildings in addition to those in the other Stalker Commercial games, please? For getting out of really problematic situation any cheats such as indestructible mode, please? I also wondered whether the mutant animals had body parts, as in such mods as Stalkersoup, please? I look forward to any replies you wish to make. Thanks and Regards JB
Regardless of how it ends up being, Im too big of a Stalker fan to not buy it. I'm sure this game wont disappoint, and from what I am hearing, this game is hard and unforgiving,
The devs said there's going to be 2 modes on Xbox Series X, one at 30FPS for visuals, and a performance mode at 60FPS. ...Series S players get 30FPS only.
a lot of the weapons are trying to be accurate to how they were portrayed in the first game, which includes design quirks that seperate from reality, as well as their names. Like MP5 is called Viper 5.
No one has mentioned the real mechanics. How the guns feel & react, movement, weight, environment traversal? From the videos is almost seems pasted right from the far older games, which can seem a bit dated and sluggish now, since games have come a long way. Still can't wait though.
@@bruhtholemew But budget doesn't dictate that sort of detail. AAA comes into play in maybe the grandness of levels and assets, set pieces, voice acting, etc. Gun animations, feel and those details are the MOST basic of this sort of game. Doesn't take much. And like others said, don ask $60 for a game unless its worth it. It should be $40 at most if its merely a AA game, right? The fact people are willing to spend full price for "lesser" games is the problem. Don't think this will be lesser. There is no reason this shouldn't be better than the last game in every conceivable way. Otherwise, why make it?
the only one thing fans really want is for it to be moddable. first games would be in oblivion by now without modding community. with their choice of game engine I'm not sure it will be so with this one
@@boone4531 stalker is not a "story" game series tho. also there are "final previews" out and views have been abysmal. fans of this series care what they can do with this game, not what devs are doing.
" Pre-Order and you will get unique items and content, such as NPC's telling more stories by the campfire and playing different songs on guitar " , not a fan of that
Me neither, but preordering isnt hard because u paying the same price u will pay when it releases. And if u dont like it u refund it. But for now it looks SO good. And if it comes out really good u have more campfire stories lol 😂
@@caesurabreak3528 Wait and see. GSC is selling outfit and armor skins. What happens when someone on Moddb makes an outfit or armor skin that is similar or identical to the one GSC is marketing via micro-transactions?. I'd be willing to bet GSC has a " line in the sand " when it comes to what mods they will allow, and which they will not.
@@makandalpNot really, metro is based on the book its true, but the atmosphere is inspired by stalker, since metro company founders are ex devs of stalker soc whom released in 2007, some devs left company after this game and founded 2A games.
It looks really good. I'm a little bummed the devs are working on PvP multiplayer. It won't stand out meaningfully from existing multiplayer games imo and I suspect it will be dead within a few months since the majority of the player based likes narrative single player games. This would have made an amazing co-op game that would stand out from nearly all of them. At least I'll have Chernobylite 2 for that I guess.
I hate how people in this game look. Developers just put themselves in it, no f*cking soul or design. Hopefully i suppose its the only thing i will hate other than most areas not having a good creepy ambient music.
