What do you mean you can't count 500 people on a beach? I remember a certain rookie lifeguard who went around the beach at least three times with his little clicker to count all the people a few years ago 🤣🤣 Still one of the best pranks I think.

The bomb alarm really confused me but then I remembered not everyone grows up in areas where explosives might still be present after a war. In France, even though the risks are lower than they used to be, they raise you to be careful in northeastern forests and on the Normandy beaches because every once in a while someone stumbles upon a mine, or a washed-up underwater mine, etc... It seems foreign to not have this sort of caution around suspicious objects, thankfully it didn't detonate

Yeah. Like in Finland a couple of teenagers just magnet fished up an ammunition nearby an army base. The only thing to do in those situations is to get away and call the emergency number.

I was really surprised the guy in black, Kyle?, gave it a nudge with his foot, even right after saying it might be a bomb. I mean, even if you don't know what it is, it has warning triangles and "notify the police" on it, you should at least know to be caucious around it

As a Californian I truly relate to the way Australians rush in to help each other in those horrendous fires. My son lost everything but his life in one of our major wildfires. We used to have what we called fire season which basically coincided with dry season. Now we have year-round fire season. California, as Australia, is a beautiful place. With that immense beauty comes danger. Currently we are experiencing rather extreme rain and wind due to an atmospheric river aimed at us. As do you, we deal by helping each other. I think we continue to live here because we love the sense of community and the beauty. I see a common bond with Australians. I imagine everybody who lives in areas that experience frequent natural disasters stay because we love it. Much respect.

Absolutely. Every Australian takes bushfires very seriously, and fire safety is taught at a very young age. It's the same with lots of disasters. We've had massive flooding across a lot of the country and it's really shown how people come together to help out.
@amberfuchscia709
@amberfuchscia709 Год назад
@@SSECreator ...you are correct in that we all take fire safety very seriously, especially those of us who live in extreme fire hazard places. As I said earlier, we here in California are experiencing a rather relentless series of bomb cyclones. It is just another day in paradise for us all. We cope. Again, so much respect.
@virginiaviola5097
@virginiaviola5097 Год назад
Australia and the US used to share resources..summer in Australia ways meant seeing the arrival of sky cranes and fire fighting planes and crews coming in from the US, but with the California fire season starting earlier and ending later, virtually year round, it’s become a lot less cut and dried and made the sharing of resources, both the hardware and personnel more difficult. SoCal is very much like Australia with its Pacific beaches and all the eucalypts and that sort of laidback beach culture. I remember being a bit disappointed when I arrived in LA, because it looked so much like Sydney, the city I’d just left, and it was a bit of a let down..I’m not sure what I was expecting but I wasn’t expecting it to look so much like home.

The men are deliciously succulent. "Bondi," originally "Boondi" is an Aboriginal word which has the same meaning as the word "surf" in English. The first record of "bondi" by European-ancestry Australians was made between 1899 and 1903. It describes the meaning as "noise made by sea waves breaking on the beach," which is essentially the definition of "surf" in contemporary American English. The Australian Museum records that Bondi means place where a fight using bondi sticks (nulla nullas or fighting sticks) took place.

Here's how to know when a Tsunami is coming, if you see the water going away from the shore and into a MASSIVE wave, you need to run as fast as possible to a safe place, my dad was a weatherman before I was born, he's the one that taught me all the storms and how to detect when a natural disaster is coming so if you have any storm related questions, don't hesitate to ask me
@qwertymanseter
@qwertymanseter Год назад
So how do we tell when a storm is coming? Or rather yet, how could a layman without access to internet and weather warnings tell the severity of a storm just by looking at the approaching clouds or, the weather from the past days or weeks and make a solid forecast based on that?
@mrs.styles29
@mrs.styles29 Год назад
@@qwertymanseter You have to figure out which way the wind is blowing, if you see the clouds coming together and they appear to be puffy and dark go inside your house. If there is a tornado warning if your area and you are outside away from buildings, lay down low and protect your head with your arms above it, the tornado won't reach you and you'll be safe

Tsunami.... never ever underestimate the speed and power of water... look what happened 2011 in Japan...! The Bushfires, demolished so many areas i have visited with my son, for Spartan, Tru Grit and Tough Mudder...( hes in Oz) I can just cry on behalf of those who lost everything....! Weve just been thru Cyclone Gabrielle..my house got flooded due to a 10cm height diverted stream...wasnt high, but the speed it flowed was gobsmacking... Nature and The Weather can be punishing sometimes.... But, thankfully the Bondi Team has the famous Syndey beaches under control... 💞✌️🙏

Covid Lockdown shifted our perspective in NZ also. We were in a similar situation in Auckkand bcos we were in Lockdown for two years whilst lockdown levels was shifting in other parts of the country. An interesting takeaway I discovered was that water helps disperse as in diffuse the virus from taking hold. We heard in NZ that Bondi was closed down during Covid. By the way I think Bondi's a stunning beach and all your life guards are amazing wonderful people. 🤩 Bondi Rescues an awesome watch 🤩.
