Serie's probably the most complicated character in this series, she kept speaking out straight-forward harsh words, but unintentionally, she's doing exactly opposite of her words. 'Suppressing your mana is a waste of time.' Doing exactly that and far more suppressing skill than Frieren. 'Flower field magic is absolutely ridiculous.' Having a massive greenhouse with flowers, admires them. 'Really shouldn't take on human apprentices.' Get excited to recruit Fern when she realizes Fern is the talent she had been seeking. ...And finally. 'Flamme dare to ask me to guide human magic?' Create the first class magician, teaches any talented mage one magic they desire, adore mages with talent. The most heartbreaking thing about Serie is, she's probably really, really lonely and seeks people who able to understand her while keeping up to her pace. Frieren is one of them but their idea goes separate ways that it's nearly impossible for these two to ever get along. Which exactly is why I believe Serie misses Flamme, even after centuries. She don't need to suppress her mana, but she did it anyway. She pick mages in a greenhouse full of flowers, instinctly caress them as she was getting excited for getting a talented apprentice.
Thank you really thank you, knowing people like you who are able to analyze a character and understand the little details and the actual full picture of them give me hope, and Im not gatekeeping or anything like that but it gets me sometimes sad that people don't put the time to trully understand and learn from the thing they put their time into it to really grasp everything, for me Serie as you said is really sad because the harsh words she uses rea literally a safe mechanism for her to not get crushed by the actual importante the people and students she dears so important, imagine over and over and over always losing your child's without being able to do anything about it knowing how strong you are and still not being able to change the outcome and always falling short always thinking if they had more time they might be able to even be head to head with me but always ending disapointed with the idea of them being humans that have limited time is just absolutely heartbreaking to try to really understand their situation.
couldn't say it better myself. one more thing i wanna add is Serie don't like frieren for not having "ambition", and yet she clearly immediately interested in Fern thats practically very similar with Frieren that she doesn't have a real "ambition".
Remember they all seek power thats why series said that he can probably beat frieren but as we all know frieren doesnt seek power and yet strong enough to beat the demon king and be on par with serie tittle as the last great mage too its just shows as if frieren seek power and go to serie path she could be potentialy even better than serie but she met flamme and thought him how to live peak story telling here
I hope they make a second season. If it's not from Madhouse, I don't want it the same, the care and affection they put into this adaptation makes no sense
@@zendengade4170But they did make additional seasons for Ace of the Diamond (178 episodes excluding OVAs) and Chihayafuru (74 episodes). I think there were several other series they made that got sequel seasons.
My theory is that Fern is going to be the Flamme of her generation because she improving at such a rapid pace. Stark was very underutilised this arc and why I was getting less excited for the next episodes. Frieren did say that she lost to 6 humans that were more skilled than her so I get what she's saying and could be true what Serie said.
Serie's a tusndere damn 😂 And Fern was prolly the youngest of them, and she snatched the exam ! Hopefully she doesn't become a "Potential-Woman"💀 And I want a deep talk between Serie and Ubel 😂
