Leila Gharani , It totally does, I still remember my first accounting job, on the first day, I handed my boss a report she wanted me to print from Excel, and I had added neat footers - and she was amazed at such a simple and basic Excel skill : )

For many people the tough things are the basics - as they actually do not use the more complicated features. Just recently I had to explain this very specific content of your tutorial to a class and the simplicity of solving the "problem" was so astonishing to them. Thanks for reminding that we can reach out to people also with "basics".
Just last Friday I taught a refresher course, mainly focussng on basic functionalities. It's targeting people working with Excel on a daily basis, but not feeling secure with it or for those coming back to work after a long period of leave.

For people who print out excel sheets often, for the love of all that is good and holy please switch your default view to page layout, and add header footer information. The number of unlabeled sheets I come across is criminal. Great tips here! Use them!

Simply wonderful video. Usually we use excel for number churning activities and for rest word does the job. But using this one can actually use excel to do what word does. Thanks Leila :)

Hi Leila.. great video and tips on headers / footers. I especially like the trick to apply the settings from one sheet to all the others. I've always written a macro for that. But, your tip is handy and useful to apply the settings quickly without having to take the time to write code that you might not use again or repeatedly without having to modify it each time. Love it! I only knew headers from page menu. Love how easy it is going to be for me to apply same header and footer to multiple pages. I use a macro for my standard footer and header, then modify. I tried this and I think selecting multiple sheets to apply the footer also adjusted the margins on all sheets. That would save me a ton of time when I have 10 or more sheets.
Very useful again with using the page layout rather than using the header/footer option. Using this for other sheets too is always handy as we use it to change a particular cell selecting all sheets and changing the cell content

have you ever done panel line charts stacked vertically with resetting y-axis labels by using data labels on a secondary axis scatter plot? its pretty exciting.

Dear Leila, always learn a lot from your videos, thank you but unfortunately this time not the answer I am looking for. I have a workbook with (this time) 37 sheets. Each sheet has a table of varying length. In some rows above each table there is some text, always same size (although the text itself varies in contents based on some cell values (text concatenates them per sheet). But I also need to put a section of text below each table before each sheet is saved as PDF. You could call it a footer but not in the sense of the print layout footer as explained in this video. And copying/pasting everything into Wordfiles defeats purpose as in a week from now I will have another batch to process. And I wouldn;t even know how to more efficiently place the dynamic text bloc a few rows underneath every table on each of the sheets other than doing an individual copy/paste across all sheets. I must be missing some knowledge for a more clever approach. All I can do is ask ... thank you kindly for your considerations
help, I am attempting to insert a small 10 cell table to the top header left side. All my documentation needs Created/date, modified/date, rev by/name, rev/date, Supersedes/date. The table helps keep information contained, and can change the dates when things are modified. Is there anyway I can do this in excel? I can created a table in word, and paste it into header in word in the table, but when I copy that same table and attempt to paste into the header in excel, it will past the information, but not the table?.. suggestions please. LOVE the ability to create header/footer and make it the same in ALL the tabs am working in.. WHAT A TIME SAVER thanks so much.
