Amazing technique IF you have the cylinder out of the door and you have a vice (and lag bolts so you cab screw the vice or a handy workbench near the door. Otherwise not so much. Try again with another tip.

Bei welcher Tür steht der Zylinder soweit vor, das ein Draht rum gewinkelt werden kann ? In der Praxis völlig unrealistisch wenn es zum öffnen zu gefallenen Türen gedacht sein soll !

this method would only work if the cylinder extends our from the door but in my experience these types of cylinders usually sit flush with the door or they have trim around them. its not very useful unless the cylinder is out of the door in a vice.

Nice system ...nice method. I suppose that if we're at home, and we need to get in our house without a key, this can work fine, if we're carrying some of the doo-dads that help make it work so readily. Maybe we'll need to have stashed-away a can of WD-40, too, in the shrubbery as well (how important is that lube to the success of the process, by the way?). Or, say, stashed in the trunk of the car in the driveway (if we happen have THOSE keys with us, to get to the items). Or, perhaps, we've stashed away the necessary items in the shed or garage (if we have those buildings on the property). But, if we bother to stash THOSE items on the property, we could as well -- or BETTER, actually -- stash away a spare KEY in a cryptic spot. The lock-pick seems the most essential item. I don't know if I want always to be carrying one of those lock picks, though, it could be hard to explain (believably... ) if Police ever ask me to empty my pockets. Maybe I could carry it in the hollow heel of my boot, along with my spare $100 bill for emergencies. Thank you for putting this video together! I've learned some things.

Yeah, I always carry lockpicks with me when leaving home! 😆😂 By the way, the W40 is useless and does not really help. The whole elastic thing is moronic at best. If you do have lock picks in your possession, one would hope that you know how to use them properly.

It only works on cheap, old and worn locks where there is a lot of play due to wear. You cannot open a new high-quality lock this way. Try it - like me, and you'll believe it.

A 40 year old locksmith its a "baker" not locksmith. This trick it's excellent for cheap cylinders and for kids.

Nesmysl ... co, místo napínáku použil gumičku ... wau, to je teda inovace ... v reálu jsou málokdy vložky takto vystrčené, takže cokoliv omotat kolem vložky nejde - pokud jde, tak ji máte blbě namontovanou nebo máte blbý rozměr vložky. A otevření použil raking ... wau, skill jako prase ... funguje to jen na ty nejlevnější stavební vložky.

Its not a new technique. Try dealing with spool pins like this. One can also use gravity. Hang a thread with a fishing weight from the tensioner. Personally i prefer to tension it myself, to get the feedback.

Hmmm interesting,,, it's probably worth adding that most (half decent) euro cylinders won't open with a rake and a squirt of WD-40.

Just hold it with the other hand , if the cylinder is in the lock you can't do that , makes no sense.
