I related to this woman as my health is in the same place and we look to be about the same age. I would be so GRATEFUL to have someone like Lee take my beloved pets. Knowing they were being taken care of even better than I could would bring such a peace! I was just able to take care of my one dog, a 12 year old Havanese, until he passed. I got help when I needed it (like getting him to the vet and groomer), but it definitely was a concern that I may not be able to tend to him as he got older and had more medical issues. But thankfully it worked out for us. Bless you, Lee and all of the people who work with you!

Human beings can do anything to God's animals... and many do, and no one even knows about it, except God. I wish our laws would change somehow. So much more needs to be done. I'm praying for animals too.

Very true, and as another commenter stated, Lee Asher should NOT have spoken any negativity towards the family in this video. I believe many viewers will judge them wrongly. We all love Lee. I REALLY love Lee, but I agreed with the commenter, who was also very respectful toward Lee while making her valid points. 🙂

You are totally doing the loving and best thing - as hard as it is. I have walked my last precious one to the bridge and i will love others from afar but when u r old, it is too risky to leave them to possibly be stranded when its yr time to travel the bridge. After 54 years I will struggle without a furry child in my home but it is a decision made from the place of deepest love. Bless you and me - and all of us white-hairs who embrace this personal sorrow.... It's the only fair way. 💞

​I agree with you totally, Ginney - rescuing a senior is top level important. But when your clock is ticking too, and there would be no one else to take over if u go first, well.... (trust me, please) this is no easy decision. As empty as my home feels now, I couldn't live with the thought of leaving my furry child stranded. It's a real hard decision for a senior citizen.

I completely disagree! There is such need for living homes for so many cats and dogs, especially senior cats and dogs that often get euthanized or live out their lives at a no kill shelter because no one will adopt them. Pets help us humans live longer too. Seven years longer on average research shows. There are several rescue groups and non profits dedicate to taking animals for people with terminal illnesses or that are passing or have passing. Please don’t let your own age stop you from getting a pet. I do rescue myself and I can assure you whatever pet you take in will be truly appreciative and loyal and add to your life in so many ways! Please reconsider

Perhaps you could consider becoming a foster 'parent' if your health allows it.😀😀

The horse and sheep need to stay together, they seem to have a bond. They must be so scared. Poor babies

And it's often very, very sad because when unpleasant situations arise, like old age and failing health, the people around you (even family members) do not share YOUR passion and love for your animals. That's why people really need to look ahead and try to get things in order for their animals... and sometimes children.

Also, horses in particular won't urinate if they need to without some form of bedding or splash-free ground conditions. They also need suitable forage and fresh water available 24/7, including when travelling (water can be offered during frequent stops).
