It's the natural way for the dogs to flow. Migrating in a pack. I'm so glad more places are adopting the lifestyle with boarding and, especially, rescue. Man knows what he's doing!
Francis of Assisi & St Anthony of Padua are Animal 🐵🐔🐶🐷 Patrons. Even the donkey obeyed the latter as did that big "bad" Wolf and even the fishes listened to his sermon when people refused to. Check out his biography. St Anthony's fame is as the intercessor for lost things.
She's beautiful, and it looks like she was well cared for and loved. I can't imagine how difficult it was to give her up, but it sounds like they were trying to do right by her. I'm glad Lee was able to take her in.
@@jennysmith8835 they cut them off when they are puppies as they are working dogs. It’s not allowed here in the U.K. anymore except if they are real work dogs. You can’t do it to pets!
Lee, I've had dogs all my life. I know exactly what you mean about how it hurts to lose a special friend. I always say, when I lose my dog, that he or she took a piece of my heart with them. And, yes, it breaks my heart to lose one. But I look at it this way: When I lose one of my dogs, they take a piece of my heart. But I think I grow back an even bigger piece of my heart when I get a new dog. I've heard people say (after losing their beloved pet), "Oh, I was so crazy about that dog. It broke my heart. I'll never get another one." I don't understand that reasoning. It's like saying you'll never have another family member or (human) friend because one died. There's always room in the heart for another friend to love and care for, whether human or furry.
Lee is certainly an angel on rarth - his compassion & total love for any animal no matter breed, age, big or small, or state of health - Personally I just marvel how these dogs are all so accepting of new rescues coming in, just a sniff a hello from all the dogs & thats tha no snarling, no fighting no nasties just total acceptance as if to say " hi & welcome to the pack - you are in the best place you can be enjoy now lets go & play... "😊❤
You can tell by her nature and confidence that she hasn't been abused. What a beautiful girl. I can't even imagine having to be in a position to give up any of my 3 dogs. I feel so bad for the ones who love their dogs so much they break their own hearts by sending to them to someone else to love, just because they are going to a life they know they can't provide, that will be wonderful! Maggie fell in love with Lee immediately....she knew she was safe.
My dad had a German Short-haired Pointer like Maggie; but her name was Vixen. My dad would boast about her pointing skills alot. He was really proud of her! Maggie is beautiful. All of these dogs are blessed to have you as their daddy!
She is beautiful, and you could see her doing exactly what Lee said, run run run, check back in, run run run, check back in, and she looks so confident. It’s also very beautiful to see the healing part of grief for you. The cycles of life, at a rescue.
This was so emotional for me. I really understood what you were talking about regarding losing any of the dogs, and it was especially poignant for me because my first hound was called Maggie. She was my soul dog and despite it getting on for 30 years since I lost her, she still has a huge place in my heart. Bless you, and good luck with your beautiful Maggie. Looks like she's going to be an adorable handful!
God 🙌! The first dog in my life was a GSP, Della. My father was a bird hunter and raised them. She was THE BEST! I, too, have longed for another one in my life. I was thrilled to see her with you and look forward 💗 to future posts.
I know everyone of those babies love you as much as you love them. Lose one your breaks. Then you find another one, to mended your heart. That's the way the world goes. Keep up the good work. I wish I could do what you do. Peace ✌
I could watch those dogs running around all day. I'm smiling from the minute I click on the vid. Something must be going right at the Asher Sanctuary 😄😄😄,!
Gotta respect people that can recognize they're unable to provide a life the dog deserves and surrender them instead of the dog being alone and not stimulated all the time. Good on them. Shes going to enjoy her new life very much and her previous owners did a good thing for her.
The thing I love about you, Lee, is your willingness to show us your tears and struggles. The joy and the loss. That's what makes you so relatable and human. Love you buddy
It is amazing how the dogs are never aggressive to the new ones, they are so calm and welcoming, they know the new dog arrived there like them, coming to their forever home to leave any hard life or loneliness..... thanks Lee!
Idk who had the toy, but Tommy the bulldog cracks me up with his always carrying something in his mouth. He was carrying the Jolly Ball a few videos back. He's hilarious 😂
I would love if Lee wrote a book about the dogs he has adopted, listed as the different breeds, their personalities and what the breed's history is... or just a wonderful collection of the adoption stories❤
Don’t ever apologize about your grief. Crying can be good for the soul and I feel your grief too. Dog lovers always share in the grief of fur babies dying or being abused. We also enjoy happiness when we see how your family lives. Thank you for all you do. You are an amazing kind loving man.❤🐾❤
Maggie is a beautiful dog.. She is so lucky to have you as her dad. They are so loving towards you and feel your energy that you are special to them as they are to you. Lee you are an ANGEL to all these dogs, cats, pigs, cows, goats, sheep etc Love you and all the pets there.♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
That face and the kisses and wagging tails tell it all.❤❤❤love to the new addition. She's HOME AND SAFE FOREVER WITH LEE AND THE PACK !!! THANK YOU LEE. MUCH LOVE TO YOU ALL AND ALWAYS!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
The dogs that come to you must feel so free and loved with that first pack walk. That has got to be Heaven for them. Maggie looks in her element, where she was meant to be. Oh, lucky, lucky dogs to have you and the sanctuary, Lee.
She is so full of life. And she will help you with your grief. A great companion. I'm so happy for all your pups. You are just amazing with these animals. God bless you all ❤️
Maggie is so beautiful, I'm so happy she has joined the pack and helps Lee heal from the loss of River. I know you never get over losing a furry friend but having another one is very healing. It's not replacing the one that's gone, it's just having a little piece of the physical touch from them. 🥰
I love the way your pack of so many breeds combine withou agri. I guess it is because they recognise you as their leader and know you love them all e.g. no jealousy. You are truly an Angel for helping so many animals. Love you and your Team & all the animals Lee.🙏❤️
My family owned GSP dogs most of my life, they're fantastic family pets but have soooo much energy. I am glad she has a place where she can run off that energy, the Asher House is perfect for her. My dad would go hunting with our dogs, and it was fantastic to hear about how they would make a zig zag pattern in front of him and then come back to check off, and then do it again. And now seeing the same tendency in Maggie makes me miss the pets we lost.
She looks like a sweet, sweet girl. You get so excited it makes me excited, I want to see who else your going to bring into the family. You make my heart so full I thank you, I'm sending my love to you and the pups!!❤️🥰❤️🥰
You’re going love her to the moon and back, you’re place is right where she needs to be, room to run and be free to point them birds. I just lost a Wirehair pointer that really devastated me. He was the most amazing dog I ever had the pleasure to share my life with. I will never forget the memories we shared so, I understand your grief over losing one. Maggie is absolutely gorgeous, welcome girl. 🥰 FYI: just in case your not aware, they could be known to bloat if they exercise to close to eating before or after a hard run.
Oh my goodness, Maggie is a dolly! 💘 It was so great to see all the doggies today, ♥️ they all look so good and so happy. 🥰 Thank you, thank you, thank you to Lee and the rest of the pack for all that you do every day and every night God bless, brother! 🙏💜✨🐾🐶🥰
WHO needs money when one has the love of a dog ,I've had dogs all my life and couldn't imagine life without my two rescues,my previous dog was a rescue and knowing I made rocky and now my two happy is all I NEED in my life, stay happy, safe and healthy everyone ✌️
I feel your joy and sadness with the fur babies. I know I 've said this before but you walk with Angels on this Earth with all you do for these animals. You may not think you do but you definitely are Angelic. The unconditional love you show them is reciprocated by them too and towards the pack. They all get it. Beautiful. Each new fur baby is welcomed.
Don't ever feel you have to hide your grief, and put on a happy face for us. We all know that the downside to loving an animal is how short their lives are. We're here to help however we can ❤️❤️❤️
She's a beauty for sure, and maybe Riley sent her your way. Thinking of when you're time comes to return back to our real home and all the animals lined up at Rainbow Bridge waiting for you, it's going to be an amazing moment. Thanks Lee, very happy for you.
Lee you are a joy to watch....every rescue you are like a little boy who just got his first puppy!!! Simply Amazing.... God filled you with so much animal love it is incredible😚
Welcome to the Asher House Maggie! Hey Lee, this is a silly question but i always wonder so i would love to know (if you have the time to answer): with such a huge pack and growing everyday, when you take those long walks, what do you do when you get home to make sure they are all back home with you. Do you call the roll? :) I love your videos!!
I often read the comments before I post on your vids. I often see people expressing just what I want to say. But they say it much more eloquently... I put many likes on theirs, but each like is a re tweet of sentiment from an Asher House fan. Love you all, Lee and the A.H. work force 💓💕💞💗💖🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕✨️✨️✨️
Maggie is so adorable and very beautiful. She fits right in with the pack. Love seeing you walking with everyone. God bless you Lee for all that you do for animals.
Oh Lee you looked so happy and excited to rescue Maggie - she's one lucky dog to live with you and your pack. I'm so grateful to you and the Asher House team for everything you folks do to help all animals that come your way - thank you from the bottom of my heart and soul for all your love, kindness, goodness, patience, helpfulness, and TLC - You're An Angel and a Huge Blessing Lee - Love and Blessings to You Always❤❤❤❤
Your pack is so awesome to watch. Because of my physical condition I can't have more than my one loved Bernard, so watching you guys is such a blessing
Beautiful video, on many levels.🥰. I am always amazed at how well behaved the dogs are when you introduce a new rescue dog. No aggression, no roughness. I think it is because they are so happy at the sanctuary, they feel so loved, so they don't feel threatened by a new comer. Thank you Lee and your team for all you do for the animals.
They are all around you, Lee, the ones who have transitioned before you. My cats have communicated to me in the dreams of others. Thank you so much. I always feel better after I watch an Asher House video.
I had to run to Long Island from Vermont, to adopt the dog a family member had surrendered. I was heartbroken, but she is now here. She and my other female do not get along, and would probably kill each other if i didn’t separate them…I’m hoping and praying that the summer and a good fence separating them will give them more exposure to each other..we will see. Blessings to you and your love for these dear animals. ❤. By the way, all our furry friends are waiting for us in heaven. Why wouldn’t they be..
