Good evening from Cape Town. I have been wanting to comment for many weeks but did not feel that I had the correct words to explain myself. My daughter came to visit from Costa Rica and introduced me to 'The Asher House' and I loved your videos from the very first one. She has now gone home to her life and her dogs in Costa Rica and left me with Asher House. Every morning when I start my day (working from home) I start with a video from The Asher House AND it makes me feel so good and alive and gives me hope in human kind ------------------- I start my day smiling for as long as the video is long and I just want to thank you for the love I feel watching you guys. I am so sorry that would never ever be able to contribute to your course but you are contributing to make my life more pleasurable. Al my love to you Lee and your family. Lovies Dene🥰🥰🥰

Lee, thank you for all the good news. If anyone is upset about Little Bear's blind eyes being removed, I'd like to share a bit of my own personal experience. My retina detached in my right eye in 2012. I had four operations quickly after trying to reattach it. None of the surgeries worked. My blind eye began to deteriorate and after several years became very painful, sapping my energy. In 2019, I had another surgery to remove the eye. I wish I would have done it sooner. In just a few days, I was feeling better and better. The pain relief was wonderful. After healing, I did get a prosthetic, which looks exactly like my left eye. Occasionally a family member or friend will ask, which eye is it? Anyway, I just wrote all of that to say that although our reasons for removal are different, I believe it is the best thing for Little Bear. Surgery was the best option for me.

During the 80s in the Philippines in semi civil war conditions I used to take in feral pregnant momma dogs around when they gave birth and would get the puppies Nido milk. Having owned only one German shepherd it was nice to be able to help by homing the puppies. In recent years I was able to help in animal rescue volunteering with cats and kittens but it is such a joy to see you with your dogs. Thank you so much for sharing these videos.

Matilda is a transformation in herself. Even her mobility is more stable, she’s my fave ❤

We had a large 3 legged dog that had no problems getting around... up and down stairs... ran like the wind🤗 Just takes time for the muscles to develop etc; Thanks for the updates, Lee...been wondering about Little Bear especially... happy his surgery is over and he will be out of pain. Take care😘

Wonderful work Lee! So great to see Lily out on a pack walk. She might have slowed down but at her age she’s entitled. I never doubt your appreciation for our support in any form. Roo is a true Queen and I believe you will find good answers for her, meanwhile she’s loving her new life with you…watch out Copper because Roo can handle your sass! Matilda always makes me happy and she eases the hurt of losing the almost immortal but not quite and endlessly adorable PomPoms. Keep on Lee, you’re a miracle!

My "puppy" Roxy just turned 14 the other day! Just wanted to say Happy Birthday to all the other dogs who had recent B Days, especially the senior dogs!

Remember Winter,the dolphin who’s tail had to be amputated. Someone was able to design a tail that fit and didn’t irritate her. There is someone out there for Roo ! ❤️🙏

Love these updates! I am so thankful Little Bear isn’t in pain! That alone is the best news ever! My rescue Tobey is thriving, and doesn’t require Xanax at all! His anxiety is gone now he feels safe! Thanks for all the notes I received two months ago when I adopted him! Hugs all! 🤗

What accomplishments!!! Lil Bear I can't wait to see! All the pups getting adopted is fantastic!!! And Roo is such an inspiration! When you feel sad just remember how happy all these dogs are with their hurdles! We can learn from them in so many ways!💟

Roo just needs time to build that strength in her back leg, it’s working for two legs after all! I’m sure she’ll be walking and running with ease in a few months. She’ll just need a lot more joint supplements throughout her life due to her size. She’ll be ok. ❤ I love to see what you do for all these sweeties, keep up the wonderful work 😊🐶🐾🫶✌️

Love every dog you rescue but for me Lady just pulled at my heart strings. Her eyes were so sad and had no hope when you first met her. Now you can see the happiness and joy in her eyes.

Little bear seems so young and lively yet old and wise, I’m so happy that he’s doing better, Roo is so optimistic and joyful and I’m sure she will grow into a beautiful dog whom we can all admire It is so true that we can learn a lot from dogs

You have inspired me Lee. Last Saturday I adopted a mastiff mix from my local animal shelter. He is 9 1/2 years old and the longest resident at the shelter. Nobody wanted him because of his age. I saw the post about his story and I had to give him a forever home to enjoy his retirement years. We love him. Thank you for the inspiration!

It is what makes each dog comfortable and happy not what makes people feel comfortable by what they see. It is the dog's heart and emotions. Yes, dogs have emotions and feelings, and they certainly have heart.

Having had to go through eye removal with my own dog, I absolutely understand why you aren't putting Little Bear in the videos for now. The only thing I can say is that it is totally amazing how well dogs can adapt to their new *normal*. My boy hasn't let it stop him from enjoying life. He's still the happy, loving bouncy boy he has always been. I wouldn't trade him for the world! ❤

I'm really happy that little Bear has gone through the operation & is no longer in pain, he'll still look beautiful once he's well again & his stitches have been removed. Am so happy to see Rocky doing so well when you consider how he was when you first got him.. Matilda has that extra little space in my heart but she's doing great as well & I'm sure she's not so wobbly as she used to be when she walked or ran.. I'm always telling you Lee what am amazing job your doing for so many animals that all adore you as you do them, so please look after yourself as well..As for Roo, he seems to be doing so well on his three legs, dear soul, your a very special man Lee with such a big heart. ❤❤
