Growing up, l felt l didn’t quite fit in with my family!, mum, dad and three brothers. Found out at 66yrs of age, after DNA testing, that l was not my Fathers child, and my brothers are my “half brothers. I had , no reason growing up to feel this way, yet l was right? I am now, 71 in February and will never find out who my birth Father is or if l have half brother or sisters out there? The point l want to make, is that Julia has a right to be tested, not been told otherwise! Feel terrible for her, she has been treated terrible by the British police. She may not be her, but it needs to be addressed, and have DNA testing completed.

Where are the receipts for the millions of pounds of taxpayers money which has been poured into this investigation, which wasn’t even allowed to start by interviewing the tapas seven and the parents of missing Madeleine.

Why aren’t the police charging the McCann’s with neglect and leaving 3 children alone.

Reasons not to allow a DNA test are 1) they know Madeleine isnt alive, or 2) they know she is alive and where she is,.or 3) Maddie was never their biological daughter

All I can say, for certain, is : " If Julia was my daughter, I would be immensely proud of her. She is not an attention seeker. She is not mentally ill. She simply has a question which needs 100% clarification and the " authorities " are denying her the undeniable truth via a DNA test. She speaks with eloquence. She is ultra polite and respectful " The treatment of this young lady is abhorrent. Madeleine had a congenital eye defect ' iris coloboma'. It is obvious if you look closely at her right pupil and it takes on the appearance of what is called a 'keyhole pupil'. Julia cannot possibly be Madeleine she does not have this abnormality and it does not disappear away with age.

She's right, Operation Grange is blackmailing her. Glad she recorded that.

A question for Julia....she has claimed on several platforms now that her birth cert cannot be found. If this is REALLY the case then how has she obtainrd things like a passport, social security number and a visa last year to travel to the USA to appear on Dr. Phil??

There’s a very significant reason that Kate and Gerry McCon haven’t come forward for this young lady. And we all know what it is.

When someone has a missing child they are usually so desperate to find them that there could only be two reasons the parents would not want to at least see if this is their daughter 1. They sold their child and do not want the truth to come out. 2. They KNOW for a fact their child is not alive because they saw her not alive, so they would know for sure this could not be her. There is NO other reason possibly if my child was missing and someone came forward, I would fly to them and do DNA blood test right away. I could not even go to sleep until I found out if she could POSSIBLY be my child. It does not make sense any other way.

Whether she is the missing little Maddie or not, I can’t understand why Gerry & Kate haven’t supported her & done the test? If it was my daughter who had gone missing then I would pay for a test ASAP! Why can't they just do the dna test? The amount of money already spent on this case is way more than this test. It would be so easy to do. Why can't an ancestry test or similar be done? That would show people in her family tree. Telling her she is not Maddie without proof doesn't add up. No wonder she is confused. Where is kindness and common sense. The other thing that floored me is that she has two documents showing two different blood groups. Thinking that she is not Maddie and proving it scientifically is twi different things. I still say Maddie had a twin.

Since Julia is of working age she surely has an equivalent of our National Insurance Number which is given on production of birth certificate. A person can’t just materialise in this day and age without documentation, even false documentation. A name with date of birth can be checked at National Registration. I don’t understand why Julia can function in society without paperwork which can then be checked against the official database. While carrying out family research I’ve found how all this info can be checked. And I know how easy it would be to get hold of someone’s birth certificate for in this country £12.50. Go to the local Registrar’s Office equivalent. Julia can check on what is being given as her own existence to see whether or not it is valid. The existence or non existence of what Julia has been told is her has to be checked and disproven before the authorities will follow up on who else she might really be. Nobody can just materialise in these days of excessive paperwork.

Personally i don’t believe she is Maddie. Whether she’s someone else that’s been taken that’s more than feasible. As for the police, they’re a fucking disgrace, they’ve been investigating since 2011 yet they’ve got Jack shit. I feel sorry for Julia, she’s not crazy or anything of the sort & the fact they used her mental health & hid behind the “ongoing investigation” to not answer her questions. Operation Grange has been a cluster fuck from day one, the amount of money that’s at the disposal of the Maddie fund & there’s been no DNA test which would prove once & for all one way or another frankly stinks to high heaven just like Maddie’s disappearance. That copper was a patronising little prick & he should be made to face the public so we can ask questions about why he thinks he can use someone’s mental health against them, threaten to arrest her if she goes somewhere & tell Julia he KNOWS for a FACT she’s not Maddie, yet they haven’t done any DNA tests, also the legality of them obtaining Julia’s DNA needs to be questioned. From what it looks like to me, they’ve just compiled a file on her because if they truly believe that she’s not Maddie why did they take her DNA? To put it on file. So they’re holding it illegally now as there’s no crime been committed & they have no need to have it as they’re not going to test it. I'm nearly 2 hours into the interview, my heart breaks for Julia. She's so courageous to share her story. Much respect and admiration.

Its hard to understand why the parents wouldn't want to try every possible avenue. Unless they test her DNA they cannot know for sure.

I’m sorry, but I had a hard time understanding her and following her story. I don’t see anything of significance that made me think she could be Madeline. When asked about what she remembered about her childhood she said she wanted to save that for the investigation. What investigation? Did I miss something? Not being ugly at all. I just don’t see what at all could tie her to being Madeline. She is an adult now. Can’t she request a copy of her birth certificate?

Some people never get over early traumas, especially when related to abuse, so kudos to this precious soul. She is really amazing. And I hope she gets the justice she so patently deserves. Hope she will stay safe with all the nefarious sharks around.

Dr. Phil's DNA was done and her origins were in Poland, and Madeline was not from Poland. Dr. P Phil did a DNA, and the show was sponsored by the DNA company. I think she is lying about the Dr. Phil interview. She didn't watch Dr. Phil? That's too convenient. Google for yourself the episode.

A private DNA test at one of the genealogy sites like Ancestry or My Heritage should be able to prove the family that you belong to. Your data can be uploaded to many different data bases for comparison. Many Search Angels on Facebook who find biological parents of adoptees should be able to help you find your family. My prayers are with you.

Julia/Shaun, the portuguese police won't do anything. In Algarve EVRY SINGLE coffee shop, supermarket, pharmacy, locals....all of them speak english. It's like a second language. This poor girl, like she hasn’t suffered enough. I always hoped she would be found alive, but I never envisioned when the moment came, that she would be met with such hostility, it’s disgusting the way the authorities are treating her and dismissing her claims. It is very odd the way the UK Police spoke to Julia on the phone...I feel there are some BUTS though - doesn't Julia have any pictures of herself at age 3 with her parents, for example? Are there no childhood friends or neighbours or teachers who remember her as Julia at age 2 or 3?
