Sorry, Paul Eagle is a NO from me. He got NOTHING done as a councillor and then ran to be an MP when he LOST the mayoral race last time. Proceeded to get nothing done there either. Now trying to run back to council and didn't even commit to resigning as MP while doing it.
I know hardly anything about any of them but Andy was the only one to actually answer the last question the other two talked about how they would be a good fit and nothing about what wellington would look like in three years.
Paul is exactly the sort of two faced career politician Wellington DOES NOT need. A computer programme can do what he's suggesting: Do a review, ask people what they want, then prioritise based on those outcomes. He should save everyone money and get a real job for once in his life. He keeps talking about "listening to the voters"...well Paul, lets see if you do after you lose the election, will you listen and move on in life or dip your snout in another public trough?
Eagle like labour government full of simple words. Back to basics what the hell does that mean. Thought the current mayor spoke the best. And he's only had 3 years and all in covid time.
Foster is so matter of fact, and focused. No wishy washy stuff. Great to see from a politician. However, you want a majoy that can inspire too, cast a vision and unite people behind it. No one excitedly unites behind an efficient competent bureaucrat.
Tory Whanau's the only real option for mayor. Andy's done nothing as mayor (and less as a Councillor for 30 years) and Paul should just stick to being an electorate MP.
Thank You, Jack, that was a fantastic interview, Hope Paul gets the mayoral position, after the interview with all three feel any one of them can do Wellington proud. Your the best 'Jack" love your show Sunday's 9am. 100% awesome. Nga Mihi. Paula/Seatoun Wellington.
