Good on you for posting this Linda. I am a new Career Coach in Australia and agree with your tips. Based on your video, i have no doubt your clients are in really good hands. thanks Andrew
A very rarely pushed back but I do want to push back on number four because a coach does not have to have a huge online presence for free lessons to be great at what they do. Some coaches are more focused on doing the work with people then they are recording videos. Some coaches are more interested in sitting with a person and then trying to figure out the technology of posting. I say that as a coach with an online presence!
These are great tips! Even as a career coach, this helps me think of how I package my services. Also, totally agree on the resume writing-I've never seen someone have a resume written by someone else that actually described their skills and experiences properly.
Need Advice! I`m 44 years old. I graduated with a Business Degree and have a Masters in Education. I`m teaching for the last 17 years, but desperately want a career switch into a Business/IT Management/Healthcare/Supply Chain career. Is an MBA an option? Any advice is welcome! Thanks
Alexa Rose why you want to work for them - talk about how you are challenged, how you love providing value, creating new things, solving problems, optimizing existing processes etc.. And by Doing this you will help them sell more / do something better / improve /excel, etc.
Alexa Rose Hi Alexa... I am an HR professional and I can tell you how to answer that question. This question is aimed at measuring your level of understanding about the company and also what you want. Companies want to know that your vales and goals are in alignment with their goals and values. So you can prepare by looking at what the company does (values and mission ) . See how these vales are in comparison with your values .
Hi Linda! Great information in this video. I have a couple of questions for you please. I am contemplating on hiring an executive career coach that I recent met who is willing to assist me in landing a new HR role in my field. I have never actually worked with a career coach before and would like some clarification to ease my concerns. 1) Does it matter or not if this position is listed on their LinkedIn profile? 2) Is it normal for a career coach to be paid a retainer fee (by the client) and a percentage of the employee's annual salary (from the employer) for the 1st full year after they have successful assisted that person in securing a new job? Please advise at your earliest convenience and thanks in advance for your help.
Do popular training course like Episoketren System really work and if so, how effective are they? We've noticed numerous awesome things about this popular training program.
Love this video! One of the reasons I started my business is because I saw writers who didn’t understand the work in my industry. And it’s EXACTLY WHY I DONT DO RESUMES OUTSIDE OF MY NICHE. It’s a discussion if I ever do resume services.
Even though I am looking to start my own business, this was still very helpful and applicable. I am looking for a career business coach and I took several notes from this video! Thank you!
What's a career / business coach? Who can tell you in which direction to go? How easy is it to get a mentor / coach with experience in your field of work? Are there any books which can be sources of information to succeed in a business besides formal education.
