Good vid, I saw a bunch of people at the gym hunched right over the machine, with their backs sticking right out, didn't think it was right - thanks for the vid
OMG TY!! I don’t know why EVERYONE at my gym leans forward with this machine like your don’t do example! I mean I’m not pro either but it’s common sense to stay with your back straight as if literally you’re using a stair ! Pd. Excuse my English not American.
as much as any other cardio machine i guess - I love it, one of the highest calory burn machines per minute and the sweat really drips off makes you feel like its doing something.
The best cardio machine ever!!! I have lost more than 75 lbs in 1 year. I do, 130 steps/minute for 5 minutes, then145 steps/minute for 45 minutes, then 175 steps/minute for 5 minutes and finally 220 steps/minute for final 5 minutes before cooling down everyday. At intensities beyond 140 steps/minute you can not climb straight, you need to lean, believe me!!!
@@edafi9458 If you want bigger calves do (seated) calf raises. Cardio machines aren't really for getting bigger muscles, they are for endurance training.
I always see people at the gym slouching/heavily leaning on handles! I know why, it's so easy to do because this does really seem to work you. I've just started a weight loss regime on my own, so looking for as much advice as possible - thank you for this :)
I purchased this ru-vid.comUgkxSmDA16smq0C2AlNEjn-rxfI5AxUj6e3a for my standing desk, as I have trouble standing in one spot for extended periods of time. It's a great way to get in a workout while reading emails. I haven't yet mastered the art of composing an email while working out, but I look forward to that. You can definitely get a workout by bouncing up and down (my boss enjoys laughing at me "prancing"), but it's easier in Zoom meetings to use more core control to not bounce up and down so much. I haven't had the courage to do a full-on workout while in a meeting yet, but looking forward to that too!
I changed my eating habits as well. I used to eat a family size bag of potato chips a day, now I rarely eat, also I avoid sugar/processed foods. After loosing a lot of weight, around 90 lbs (from 42 inch waist to 33 inch waist), I have finished one round of P90X (I lost another 10 lbs, and 3 inches from my waist), now I workout on stairmaster every alternate day (1 min 175 steps/min then 1 minute jumping rope, I continue doing this for an hour) and other days weight training. Will start Insanity
Yeah I joined a new gym and hadn't used this kind of stair master before. Usually it's just the regular actual steps that rotate around kind of ones. And I was having a hard time because I kept wanting to lift my foot up off the foot step things.
The most important thing to grasp is that most well-made machines increase the rate at which the stairs fall when you increase the resistance. So you're actually, in a sense, decreasing the resistance. So you have to make a more explosive movement to stay up. If you're working hard enough you will bend forward, to get more work out of your erector spinae muscles, just as someone going flat out up stairs will. The one thing you mustn't do is suspend yourself on straight arms. Do that and you aren't working to keep yourself up.
Thank you! I have seen so many slouch over on these, and I don't get why they do it. It wouldn't seem natural to me, and I would only imagine that it could actually hurt your body, if you did it regularly
Mindraker1 it ought to be as flat as possible so your glute / butt muscles are properly activated. That way over time it gives your butt a perky lifted look
Tried using one this morning and couldn't get a rythym going so Isunk... Good to know I'm not the only one who couldn't figure out how this thing works!
Should I tread only with the footpads or also with the heels? My feeling is that when I tread with the whole foot, the glutes are activated more. Only with the pads, it goes more on the calves.
Круто!!!Такой степпей я купил себе в магазине Зона спорта. Сжигаю калории, получаю удовольствие от тренировок.Отличную программу для меня подготовил фитнес тренер!
Also I eat 5-7 meals a day (250-300 calories), it keeps your metabolism going strong whole day. I avoid fried food, sugary drinks, eat lot of fruits, vegetables, lean meat like chicken breast and protein shake. Breakfast is most important, I eat scrambled eggs (1 whole egg and 5 egg whites) and a toast of bread, I use olive oil only. I eat a handful of Almonds as snack, remember monosaturated and polysaturated fats are good for you. Good luck with your weight-loss.
