Only the MT 09 had that asymmetrical display and the new ones don't have them anymore so not sure what you mean by "newer bikes coming out with these Asymmetrical heads up displays"

a heads up display would be a display you can read at all times that is superimposed where you're looking, like in a videogame. you mean the asymmetrical dash. HUDs are becoming available though. There is a french company that is starting to sell theirs this year, I believe, which is mounted inside your helmet. A lot like google glass.

He described his recording setup in another video. I think it's a recorder wrapped in some sponge material, stuffed into a backpack.

It's the Beeline Moto, a minimalist navigation device. They have the Moto II now that actually shows you a little bit of the route but if you want to go as minimal as possible they also still sell the original.

Schaaf how do you do that? When i try it - when i rotate hand on throttle while holding brake lever, i fail to hold still pressure on the leaver - and my braking is very bumpy.

@@Schaaf for the price difference you can put some proper suspension and brakes to the 800. Sadly, nothing to do with the engine 😂

I think you really want to have the low-down torque of the 1100. Peak power doesn't matter as much.

Beeline! I have one, love it. Basically it's either a turn by turn navigation, or a compass. You can let it point you in the right direction (Compass mode) and you find your own way there - that's my favourite - or just use it as a regular GPS and have it tell you where to turn.

@@Schaaf That’s great to know! Thanks! Ducati just came out with a retro 1100 Tribute edition and I’m having a hard time not ordering one. Only hangup I have is the one you rode in the video has Ohlins and the Tribute does not. Wondering if it will make that much of a difference 🤔. Than again the Tribute is $2200 cheaper.

What GS ? 310 GS ?

@@p.chakraborty4453 Any GS, really. The 310 is good, the 650 funduro is better, the 700 and 800 are perhaps already slightly oversized for indian traffic from what I can see from europe and the 850 and up are bikes meant for an environment where you regularly ride 130+ km/h but also want to be able to do offroad things. Along the way comes very high comfort levels on the road. Any adventure bike will do, really. Nice upright seating position, wide handle bars mean little force on your wrists at all times and long travel suspension means few harsh blows to your hands too. An upright position is easier on your back. I'd suggest finding a nearby fitness studio and talking to a trainer about strengthening your back that way, along with yoga. You can have a look at cycle-ergonomics.com ( i believe, google it otherwise) to see how you would fit on a bike. Alternatives to the GS would be the very upright replacements for sport tourers, like the BMW XRs, the new Fazer, the Kawasaki 300 adventure bike thing and so forth. I mean, coming from an R1, anything is going to be more upright. :D

@@zibingotaeam3716 only the 310 gs and 1200, 1250 is available in india, yeah, i am into yoga and workouts for the back already, and yes , you are absolutely right, coming from a R1 ( race prepped , so even lower bars ), every bike is upright in comparison, even the RS 660 , RC 390 feels so much upright to me by comparison lol. That was kind of anothrr reason i had to sell it anyways.

@@p.chakraborty4453 any GS is going to feel VERY weird to you then :D. I ride an F800S which is not as uncompromisingly low as your R1 was and rode the 310 GS for a day and always missed the footrests because i kept expecting them to be about 10 cm further to the rear. Same on the 750GS. You really sit on adventure bikes like you sit on a chair and everything feels soft with a lot less feedback than an R1 gives you. Hmm. Maybe you should just buy a bike you like and change out the position of the handle bar with spacers and maybe a new bar? Coming from an R1, I assume four cylinders are your thing. Maybe try out the Honda CB650R. The 650 GS is out of production for a while now, its the old single cylinder enduro.
