These are so beautiful! I see you said they were photographs of your Petri dish art. Did you mount the photographs on canvas? I'm always interested to see how artists finalize their work for display. How did you get them printed without becoming blurry? Such a talented artist! I just love them!
Thank you Debi. My big art is a photograph of my original ;) The original is made with resin and inks called Petri Dish. If you look through my channel you can find how I make them with resin and inks.
Arijana... wow!... such beautiful art you create... I LOVE the Bloom video you did 13x9 resin/alchohol inks... could you tell me why you used a blow torch?... also, could this be done outside so fumes not as bad?...if didn’t want to frame, what else could this resin piece be used for?... hoping to have a class of 6 do their own once covid 19 releases its social distancing grip... LOVE your art! Pamela
Hi Pamela, thank you very much! I honestly never thought what else to do with my pieces other than being framed or sitting on an easel for display. Also, the blow torch helps to burn small dust and hair particles from the top of the resin, besides helping to pop any bubbles that surfaced. You could do art outside BUT resin is liquid and at any blow of wind you are going to attract all sorts of things on it sadly that will dry on your surface. Resin is so sticky. Maybe you can resolve this by framing an area of work with something so that no dust fly onto the artwork. It's also hard to move once you complete your work as it's liquid and could be uneven of transferred. I work in a normal room with a respirator and I open the window fully. As soon as I am done with my work, I don't touch it or move it to not disturb the dynamic etc.. I hope this helps! Good luck with your classes. I hope the Covid restrictions ease at some point.
Arijana.....HELP!... we just did some resin art and don’t know when or how to put them on the fluffy towels?... is that necessary and can we lift them onto towels after cures a wee bit?... Pamela
