An exhibition 'Scottish Lilt' Highland Dance by champion dancers Rebecca Thow and Iona Black during the 2020 #VirtualHighlandGames in Braemar, Scotland. Iona has 13 Champion Titles, including Scotland, Canada and America, while Rebecca has won many Scottish, Commonwealth, European, North American and Canadian Championships, winning the Adult World Championship title in 2017.
The Scottish Lilt is one of the National dances, very graceful and heavily influenced by ballet. It only six beats per measure rather than the standard eight, and in competition this dance is rarely danced by the most advanced dancers. The Scottish Lilt has several recognized steps that can be used in competition and exhibition.
