Gary Holt is one of the tightest guitarists ever. He's like a riff playing robot. His leads are killer too. All around, one of the best Metal guitarists around. Have had the pleasure of seeing him live with Exodus and Slayer a few times. (Exodus once, Slayer 3 times. When I saw Exodus, it was with Suicidal Tendencies and Slayer, so Gary played two sets that night. Crushed 'em both, never missed a note! I was front row, and Lee Altus threw me a guitar pick at the end of the set, it was awesome.

When I first heard this song I really focused on the lyrical freaking nature of it. Gary wrote a freaking hard hitting song lyrically the ending gave me absolute chills and the first time I had someone someone listen to it they were shocked. Its not a really fast song but delivered in a way that just freaking hits different. LONG LIVE EXODUS!

@@michaelolvera7490Kirk has stuck way more to the roots of his influences, while Gary Holt has expanded in regards of metal tones. There are a plethora of Main influences within thrash. Gary Holt, Dave Mustaine, Kirk Hammett, James Hetfield - these guitar players built perfectly on top what NWOBHM delivered! But credit, where credit is due: Kirk is a riffmonster. Creeping Death midsection - forever added to the thrash Olymp.

Holt is my fave metal guitarist and one of my top ten all time faves.. Love him like I do Gilmour and Cantrell.. the notes mean something. The feeling is there. Even his shreds never seem mundane or superfluous . And he hardly ever fucks up! Total riff and lead machine. and a seemingly great guy to boot.

I stayed so hars on the metallica yrain for so mnay years i never gave Exodus a thought. Finally did this year, and while i realize i missed years of epic, it's amazing to have such amazing catalogue he completely new to me. Exodus 100% makes better music today than metallica, but both have amazing legacies 🤘🤘

My situation that is but I think this song is a masterpiece. Starting with the bells, then the drumbeat, then your guitar with your killer guitar skills and finally the fucking bell again is the perfect touch. The lyrics hit the 🎯. As much as I love Lasse Lammert and Will Putney, I don't get how they get signature Tonality edition and Gary Holt doesn't. That just doesn't feel right. Nothing against those guys whatsoever, all amazing in their own right, it just seems a little backwards to me. Not meant as a bash, btw, it's something that can be improved and it's up to STL Tones to make it right. Think of how amazing Tonality Officer Holt will sell!

Maybe Gary Holt wanted a tonehub expansion? I could easily imagine he is not very fond of using software as in Tonality plugins, but very much using Kemper style profiling, as he also used Kempers live on numerous occasions. From what I know, Gary is a pretty much hands on guy when it comes to gear.

Not many bands wrote kick ass tunes like Exodus back in the day not even my favorites Metallica or Megadeth! Glad to see it continues so many years later!
