Thank you, very interesting, I don't think I've ever smelt real oud, but I love some of the cheapie oud accords. My favourites are Swiss Arabian Oud Azraq and FA Paris the shadow (ombre nomad). However, I want to tell you about a beautiful cheapie I recently bought, it is blue oud by Ameb Al maghribi. It has some skank, but beautiful, addictive skank within a super soft, comforting oud freshened slightly with cypress and after a week of maceration I'm getting some sweetness too. It's so good and the quality is insane for the money (cost me £26 in the uk). Anyway, thanks again for always sharing your knowledge and testing these fragrances for us.
