WHAT IS BIG AMBITIONS?
Big Ambitions is a roleplaying business simulator situated in the open-world city of New York. You start the game as a young kid surviving in the big apple. You have big ambitions for money and success, but you're starting with absolutely nothing.
In Big Ambitions, you control a single person in the middle of the bustling metropolis of New York City. Your goal is to achieve financial success in various ways. Starting at the bottom flipping burgers or collecting garbage to eventually owning and running big businesses and real estate throughout the city.
As you progress, you always need to make sure that you're getting enough sleep, keeping up with your health, and making sure your happiness is sufficient. Increasing your capital can be trickier than you think. As you will learn, money can't buy time.

there is a zoom option, you have to bind it to a key though. I saw it in the options when you were rebinding the lookback binding.

I’m lazy with my schedules. I just set it the same everyday. But when “role playing” real life like you are, then of course you’d make sure employees aren’t working everyday

I kinda want to see a more specialised food industry restaurant like for example a BBQ restaurant, where you have to get stuff like a smoker or a bbq pit to really be successful in it, probably stuff like bigger than normal initial set up costs/area but return is bigger over all

Just in case, if you don't like the colors for objects (Sadly not walls or floors), you can hit the "+" button (as in on the screen and not on your keyboard) and pick and choose whatever color you want. It's to the left of the premade color choices when you're selecting colors.

You could save tons of money with floors and walls by not doing expensive things for the kitchen area Plus, its usually not the same in restaurants ;) Good vids tho.

I know im way behind on videos to mention this, but dedicated cleaning staff are definitely now worth the money, if you get a part time cleaner and give them 2 hours per day, theyll do a much better job than your customer service staff, and they are considerably cheaper on wages

It’s all about cleaning skill. CS agents have cleaning skill too, and over time, will have the same 100% as cleaning staff do. That makes them equally effective. At 100% cleaning skill, they basically reset the cleaning score of the store in an hour. You don’t need long cleaning times. The negligible difference in cost for doing it this way is offset by having less HR/insurance costs. For a single business, cleaning staff is cheaper. For a large organization with a dozen+ stores running, it won’t matter

@@CharliePryor that's a fair point, once the corporation gets larger, the cost for that employee is negligible. I personally still opt to have cleaners from the beginning as they do have a lower wage, and for me it makes the scheduling a little easier too. Love this series BTW, I've spent a week binging it and have just now caught up with the newest episode after hairlander opened- this game is great

Might be a silly question, but is the negotiation of salary a thing in the US? I mean, you got your salary here, and that's it. No negotiating or anything. Take it or leave it, basically. Could you get twenty dollars an hour for working in a store, and two streets away,you could get eighteen?

Negotiation is totally a thing here. It works both ways though. You can totally ask for more, and the employer can totally say no. ;)

i thought food, fast food stores did good i played when first came out. if u had fully setup fast food place. money did really good. down side to it was ofc the cost to setup. spent a lot of money buying all that equipment..... but yes clothing, and jewls were def the #1 earner. then. i have no clue now i not tried to get back into since first big update. i wasnt big fan of the changes with the employee demands for insurances etc.

That's exactly when I stopped playing as well, not because they existed, but because it made it very difficult to switch over all of my currently running businesses to include all the new changes basically forcing a restart to be able to add those features in from the start. It's way easier to make changes when you are implementing them for the first time and not when you have businesses all across the map with 10+HR employees already managing everything. I mean I could have done it but didn't want to lol, tried to restart but realized I will wait till the game was more along to restart. I may hop back in it soon

Strange opinion, since it’s put into the game specifically for stuff like this, and was placed there by popular request specifically because people wanted to be able to shop at multiple stores in a day with time to think and shop (you cannot move camera while paused). It doesn’t change anything about the time flow of the game. Income is generated at the end of the day. Your sales don’t speed up at all either.

Please stop cheaping out on the cleaners and hire a seperate cleaner and have cleaning full time that way more customers come in if you have cleaning at 100% always Edit The customer capacity is at 30 but you have seating for only 20. You might wanna add more tables and chairs

Your scheduling is killing me. You obviously have never scheduled people. OK you set it so your employees work an hour after the store has closed, switch them from register to cleaning an hour after the store closes. Then use your part time employees to clean mid shift. Either an hour before they man a register or an hour before they go home. That way every night your restaurant gets cleaned after closing and it starts clean the next day. Then a part time employee clean mid day. Your place will always look clean. Please fix this. It's driving me crazy

What kills me, is when people come into comments with an attitude without properly thinking through just how little what they are suggesting will matter on the big picture. Whether they clean after, or during, hours of operation, doesn’t matter at all. If they have hours to spare, great? But when their hours are tight to their requests anyways, it doesn’t. Their cleaning skill has a much bigger difference than the time that do it. Just as long as they do it. It grinds my gears even further when they suggest that I’ve never dealt with something before, despite having more hours in this game than most of the player base, and more videos on this game than most of RU-vid, doing precisely, I might add, what they are suggesting already. And, much like the IFZ suggestion you are supposedly missing credit for, it was all done long before any of the videos you have watched were even posted to begin with. Just because I posted a video today, and you watched it today, doesn’t mean it wasn’t recorded a week ago, I give credit to ideas when they come from comments. I don’t give credit to comments that leave what I’ve already done, and they haven’t seen yet. For example, I’m recording episode 10 today. Do you think, if you suggest something on video 4 that I end up doing in video 7, I should credit you, when I’m already recording 10 when you posted it? Think about it

@@letho2936 Nah man, I appreciate the sentiment but I'm not really into that kind of thing here (antagonizing). I feel sometimes people come from a good place in their critique, and then other times, they come at it like know-it-alls that wanna 'lay down the law' at somebody, when we're all just here to have a good time anyways. This one is somewhere in between. Sometimes comments are incredibly helpful to gameplay, since I do legit miss things. Got a busy life, and I tend to overly focus on my task while things around that task happen. Other times, I know a LOT more than the person commenting though, and my response entirely depends on their attitude. Hard to portray emotion through text, but this guy came at this far more negative than they should have in my opinion, especially with their assumptions.

Charlie you’re fine I think he overstepped a bit not realizing the gap between recording and publishing. You are playing 3-4 games concurrently AND still have a wife, child and household responsibilities. Appreciate all your efforts and I enjoy watching you flounder at times but this game while extraordinarily advanced is still new and will continue to improve.

It really seems far from prioritized properly. Plus the game method does not fit the way you started. I thought this was going to be a detailed oriented slower progression. Instead we have a slow start with a sudden and harsh gear change to skipping ahead. Now we are doing decorations that mean near nothing. When money is so important atm. I have no idea why you even bothered with the way you started.

Money is incredible easy once you are making some. Decorations are super important to role playing in a video game, and wanting things to look good. It’s part of the creative element that makes games fun. If it’s not your thing, no problem. Doesn’t have to be everyone’s thing. As more businesses get opened, attention and Pryorities always shift from micro to macro. If you don’t shift gears to macro attention, you’re just choosing to play slow. Nothing wrong with that, but with hundreds of hours in big ambitions, and audience, I’m not going to intentionally slow progression.
