WHAT IS BIG AMBITIONS?
Big Ambitions is a roleplaying business simulator situated in the open-world city of New York. You start the game as a young kid surviving in the big apple. You have big ambitions for money and success, but you're starting with absolutely nothing.
In Big Ambitions, you control a single person in the middle of the bustling metropolis of New York City. Your goal is to achieve financial success in various ways. Starting at the bottom flipping burgers or collecting garbage to eventually owning and running big businesses and real estate throughout the city.
As you progress, you always need to make sure that you're getting enough sleep, keeping up with your health, and making sure your happiness is sufficient. Increasing your capital can be trickier than you think. As you will learn, money can't buy time.

I had a building I wanted to rent which was owned by an actively hostile rival and she straight up called to laugh at me when I clicked the button and it wouldn't let me rent.

I also declared war on Ingrids coffee shops in the way you did, lets see how it goes. I LOVED my pick up in this game but now drive a nunavut because there isn't a add on option to put auto parking into vehicles. Maybe we can plant that seed in the devs ear to let us customize the vehicles a little more?

58:00 The building will still show as available for rent, but when you click to rent it you will get a message from Ingrid (or the rival who owns it).

I've noticed while playing (yes this is the 4th game you've convinced me to buy 😀) that properties come available when businesses fail so keep an eye on your info feed for buildings coming up for grabs. Also noticed hairdressers are mental money makers cause its mostly service charges so (almost) pure profit per customer Also if anyone wants the sizes 1024 x 1024 pixels for Billboard and Squaresign and 1024 x 150 for Widesign (forgive the weird names but this is what the files need to be named in game)

If you're using a mouse, you can just press the wheel on the mouse to make your character follow the cursor so you don't have to keep clicking to walk 😊

31:40 They are hardballing you on the negotiations. Very good tactic, just go absurdly high the employer thinks you are having a jolly but will end up going for what you want (which be higher than you expected). Especially if you have a skill/speciality, then you can really drive home hardballing tactics with the other party.

59:30 The building owned by Ingrid will still show up if it's available for rent. But when you go to rent it she will deny you from renting it out to you. This happens in late game and will probably start happening to you at some point in the very near future. If you've already rented it out (Char Shack) I don't think she can evict you though.

Around 1 hour re the pricing psychology. It's wierd here (in UK) we often do 79 or 29. So at least you only get 1 cent back than all those pennies. However, a new shop opened up here and they do round pricing (but say £19 instead of £20) as everyone pays by plastic cards anyway nowadays. (mostly by touch and go (aka contactless), not sure if US has this?) Interesting though. Often also what supermarkets do is they put down their prices on weekends and have special 2 for 3 offers on, whilst on a monday to friday the prices will almost double. That end most of these supermarket prices have their own card (where you get point on each purchase) and if you own that card with that shop, you get a "special" price for it. It's a bit like, i believe, COSCO premium membership. It costs more, but you get special offers on products. (from time to time)

There is no 'donut shop' .. you can sell donuts in a coffee shop or in a supermarket or in a fast food shop

You can make whatever you want to make. I can call a shop that sells donuts a donut shop if I want to. I can call a gift shop a video store if I want to. Imagination is a great thing. My programmers later are actually video editors, and we’ll be opening a post house in the city. Game is what you make it

Yes, but they nerfed the sales of non-primary and non-secondary items to a very low percentage of normal items. It no longer works like EA0.3.

@@JohnnyHughes1 Donuts are primary for coffee shops. They are listed right in the item list for those shops. ;) Calling it a “donut shop” is insignificant and meaningless to the performance of the store.

I was wondering when you were going to pick a fight with Ingrid. I'm in a price war with her in my game at the moment - incidentally a price war she started and I'm winning. I hit the 1.2m per week mark last night. I never considered just going full blown undercut and selling my produce for the minimum amount. I've been incrementally lowering my prices as she lowers hers. Might be something I do with my next rival once I've destroyed Ingrid.

I have an idea for Dunkin' On U. I'm thinking bright pink text, but the U is the outline of a mug, and there's a hand dunking someone in the coffee. Maybe rounded block letters for the Dunkin, with the U styled similarly, and then the on in smaller cursive font. Or maybe do the on in the same simple font, but replace the u in Dunkin' with a crossant and the O in On with a doughnut. The person is styled sort of like the highly visible outlines you see on signs. If you like the idea, I'll put it together and send it in, but I don't want to spend the time to actually make it if I'm too late or you just hate the idea.

Art is already done. You'll see it in ep 15. I also have art completed for other businesses being shown in 13 and 14. :) If you have graphics design talents though, and want to try putting stuff together, there will be plenty of fun ideas to design for coming up as well.

@@CharliePryor i know they've got cleaning skills bro. But if you use dedicated cleaner your shops always look much more cleaner! I'm not saying that's gonna change anything but its nicer to look ! That's it . And for distinguishing problem i mentioned. That was for the part you were onto highjacking some customer services workers. But you were hovering ontop of cleaners :D You seemed to be a little bit rushed in game play .. That's allright aswell. I though that was worse mentioning!
