In this video we demonstrate one of many ways to replace or fix expansion joints of concrete driveways / walkways / sidewalks. Avoid cracking, settlements or concrete (driveway) demolition and replacement maintaining your concrete water tight. The woods in between your concrete slabs are not even meant to be there after the first year of your driveway pour. Wood rots and allows water to leak between your concrete and the "supporting soil", creating soil erosion. But sadly, home builders don't educate home buyers in the subject of concrete maintenance and people has to spend thousands of dollars in concrete replacement that could have been avoided. We use a sand, backer rod and polyurethane system to properly create an expansion joint.
