Glad it was helpful. The megamat is very comfortable, although I've moved to a stretcher these days for quicker setup/pack down the megamat was very comfortable and the widget pump makes it easier to use for sure.
The best 2 person sleeping pad, we slept in the back of a Subaru Outback for over 10,000 miles driving across the USA and back and then dozens of shorter trips for the past 5 years. We upgraded to the schnozzel air bag pump for 80% of the trips but are looking into this widget and came across your video. The battery bank and light source are bonus features for such a small piece of gear and I am going to pick one up eventually but the schnozzel has treated us very well. We unfold the expedition megamat duo and let it sit for 20-60 min depending on dinner, fun, or camp making duties but this seems like a compact and convenient way to get to that exped megamat magic sleep. Truly the best sleeping pad I've come across and its not even close. We may need to upgrade to the 15cm thick one day but the 10cm has been so solid, comfortable, and reliable I can't complain or even price shop up to this point. Exped shame on you for making such a serious sleep mat and now a piece of electronic gear that makes me want it more than the schnozzel which is manual and epic in its own right. The tiny little hand pump thing that comes with the mat works and is cute and all but its more of a "dial it in" sort of piece and we do in 1 minute what used to take 8-12 min upgrading to the schnozzel depending on altitude/cold temps. The widget appears to take only dexterity, power, and supervision.
thx mate, same I hadn't come across them before either. Really happy with it so thought I'd share it so others can benefit from one given the megamats can't really be inflated with a standard aircompressor
Hey, just wondering if this is the megamat duo queen 150cm wide or the megamat duo LW+ 132cm wide. Looks great, just meed to fidn the biggest one that'll fit in my swag
I doubt it would have the power for that, however I recently bought a Milwaukee cordless tyre inflator and it's just as fast as a single cylinder ARB check that out!
Hey scott, used this a lot on my recent trip. Did 5 inflations of the megamat, and was not fully charged as it had been sitting in the car waiting since last use.
No, it's one way only. Never had an issue deflating... goes down a fair bit just opening the valve and just folding it in half and leaning on it gets a lot more air out.
You said you cannot learn everything new. You double tapped the pump to start, lve just been holding for a long press. Double tap give you high speed and long press give low speed… go figure. Pro tip put a couple of screws in the outlet tube to stop the outlet adaptor coming off all the time when you are twisting the pump to get it off.
