I went on this ride today with my brother and all in the comments can agree that going backwards at high speeds in the dark was the most terrifying part right
I went on that ride and while I was going up that massive lift hill I regretted all of my life decisions, but when we went down the hill my pictures where hilarious 😂
When I was like 7 I went on this ride and I was traumatized but a few days ago I went on and it was one of the best rides I’ve ever been on, I’m so proud of myself for going on that ☺️❤️
It’s actually two different trains. It’s timed so that one train goes behind the mountain and then a second train goes down the drop shortly after, to hide the backwards part until you get on the ride. About 5 seconds into the video you can hear the screams from the riders in the backwards dark section coming to a stop, then the loud hiss sound after that is the track switch locking, which is about the same time the train at the top of the hill releases. Then it’s rolling toward the drop and finally comes into view.
I went on this ride two weeks ago for the second time in my life, and the big drop felt different compared to the first time I went on this ride. When I went this ride the first time when I was 11, the big drop felt like I was PLUMMETING! 8 years later, when I finally got on Everest again, the big drop felt like the drop on Seven Dwarfs Mine Train but somewhat bigger.
I just rode this for the first time today. It was awesome! Wasn’t even scary! One of the coolest roller coasters I’ve been in! My older brother is too scared to even ride pirates of the Caribbean though🤣

I did this ride yesterday, and I put my hands up and I tried not to scream at all, and I didn't even scream and the pic was sooo funny and my brother and my mom and my dad screamed and I was the only one that didn't scream😂
From what I can see, that train is not locked into the track. It seems to be only flanged wheels that keep the train from derailing. And that's no guarantee!
Is this one really strong, I’m really scared of roller coasters but when I saw a full video of this they say the part going backwards is not that bad but the drop is the one holding me back from going into it
I remember going down trying to keep a straight face IN THE BACK OF THE MINE TRAIN and still remember the fear that went through me when the train zoomed through. I kept sort-of a straight face but my cheeks turned red and my eyes looked like they were about to pop out of their sockets. Lmao
