the 1 dollar chicken burger would be cost about 12 dollars if you bought the ingredients from woolworths, australia. (though it would allow you to make 4 burgers instead of 1, still 3 dollars a burger though.)
The reason fried is cheaper than grilled is because often the fried chicken is frozen, alreay breaded chicken that takes less time to prepare, (because they just have to put it in the fryer) and was probably cheaper to buy in bulk than the fresh chicken
It cost more for a grilled chicken because it takes more time to cook. Yes there's more ingredients in fried chicken but it usually comes frozen and only takes a few minutes to cook in a fryer, 7 minutes tops. Grilled chicken on the other hand takes about 10-15 minutes and even longer if it's not thawed out first.
If you shallow fry, add thin crispy bacon, a slice of cheese, some mayo, and pickles to that first one, it wouldn't cost THAT MUCH more and you'd be surprised how good it comes out.
For the one dollar version add warmed up pimento cheese lettuce tomato and pickle and it is like the chick fil a pimento cheese sandwich please do this in a video!!
A fried one is more expensive bc it’s probably easier to put out and makes us fatter. They know people would pay extra for a few less calories and better ingredients
A chicken patty with ketchup and cheese was my FAVORITE meal as a kid. My mom used to set me up in the bathtub with a tray table and my portable dvd player and I'd have movie marathons in the bath. One of my most vivid memories is soaking in the tub til my fingers and toes were all wrinkled and white and watching Harry Potter and screaming downstairs to my mom to make me a chicken patty sandwich 😅😂🤣 thanks for reminding me of that bro 💞💞
Hell yeah! Fried chicken sandwiches are REAL sandwiches in my opinion, and yes, i can agree with the chicken sandwich tier list, chick-fill-a and popeyes are feeaking delicious.
This isn’t with all restaurants but chicken patties are sometimes just frozen disks of ground chicken. This means that the chicken, instead of being on cut such as the breast is mostly just cuts and pieces of chicken no one really eats. This is probably why it’s less expensive. Not for all restaurants tho.
Honestly pretty similar to my list, except I would not be caught dead buying any item from Burger King, aside from maybe the Hershey’s sundae pie because that shit legit sounds amazing
the old chicken sandwich popeyes had was the best, you can’t change my mind. Sadly no one ever remembers what it was whenever ai mention it. It had tomato, lettuce, fried chicken that’s not to greasy, and the best damn bread ever for the bun.
