Lee Alex they don’t necessarily have to be expensive but a quality pair of adjustable dumbbells will last you for years and since they’re adjustable you won’t have to buy separate pound increments either
Good running shoes. Nordstrom rack is great for discounted asics, Brooks, Saucony and Mizuno. If you must go nike, epic reacts or Pegasus or zoom flys are the only ones worth putting miles in
Meh, I'll just keep my Uniqlo selvedge jeans using Kaihara denim, one of the big 3 Japanese denim mills. Also, who the hell wears through a pair of jeans every year? I still have my American Eagle jeans from 15 year ago that still look decent (aside from the style that's no longer in fashion)
Watching these videos always feels like some kind of awakening to me - because most people I know would not even spend 300 euros to buy a suit. In Finland where I live, many men just buy the cheapest suit they can find, and even 100 to 200 euros feels expensive for them. They only wear a suit when they absolutely have to, and that is maybe 1-2 times a year, or not even every year . When they talk about wearing a suit, it's like they are talking about some kind of terrible tragedy. That has always been something I can't relate to, and I'm often frustrated with the fact that it's very hard to dress sharp here without grabbing too much attention. In the office where I work, people just wear cheap jeans and hoodies, for example. It's just a part of our culture that you must be humble and unnoticeable, many people still find it strange when men care about their looks. There was recently a survey about the places where men do their shopping in my country - and the result was that the most common place to buy clothes is a hypermarket. Men just grab something cheap to wear, as fast as possible, when shopping their groceries. That's just sad.
I just had to let it out, now I'll feel a bit lighter for a moment :) Thanks for your content, it is always top quality and I've had so many wonderful ideas from your videos. You really have a remarkable eye for combining colours and building tasteful outfits.
There is a young RU-vidr - username ReportofTheWeek, he does fast food reviews. He ALWAYS wheres a suit -vintage suits that fit really large for him, but he loves the way they look. Very inexpensive ones too. But the reason i bring him up is because he said in a video the reason he always wears a suit is because he like the way he looks, and doesnt care(anymore at least) that he looks out of place. His point from my perspective was to dress in a way that makes you proud of yourself.
VILLIE I wish I lived where you lived in Finland I dont wear super expensive suits cuz I caint afford umm if if I could I'd probley only own one but I buy nice cloths not from super market but hear in usa if working in corporate high end place law firm and such they expect you to have expensive stuff and be dressed up so would be nice if I could wear my nice casual cloths to work
isn't the problem, that quality is hard to get? so quality is luxury and what is sold on a price scale that is luxury by definition going by the average income? I think a major problem of today is, that often even those, who would like to produce solid quality items, have problems to get the material they would need to produce them. and in case, they can get them, they would have to order in higher quantities, to have a fair share in the profits. because, you cannot go too high with the prices anyway - unless you have a unique style and local customers!?
@@Lee-ss5nv Perhaps you should get out more. In Australia, with the arrival of major international clothing shops and greatly reduced cost of every day wear, such as jeans and chinos, I think that a lot of men now replace their jeans within the year. I travel mostly by public transport and I rarely see anyone wearing jeans that show any signs of wear. Phil.
Love the video. One I would add is “airline travel luggage”. For years I purchased cheap or mid tier carry-on bags and since I fly every 2 weeks for business I’d go through 2-3 suitcases a year. Wheels break, handles stop working, etc. I bought a Rimowa Topas Stealth in carry-on size and it has lasted me 2 years already (knock on wood). Worth every penny
Dressing well is a form of good manners ~ Tom Ford. I think ppl should complain less abt things they can control, u want to dress better, better watches, better cars? with all do respect Hustle!! Achieve the position or financial freedom u wanted n stop criticizing ppl with good taste or saying luxury goods r waste of money. I went from Gshock to Omega in years n the costs are Blood Sweat n Tears n damn proud of it, still love my Gshock that went through with me during university but I'm going for a rolex next🤜🤛keep grinding people❤
Swiss army knife, best 70 usd I spent. All the tools are there when you need it, and the quality of the stainless steel is amazing. Has not rusted in 7 years I had it
Just came across your channel and you’ve got me hooked. I watch a lot of different men’s style channels and you definitely stand out. You are very genuine and it shows. Keep up the great content, I know it won’t take long before your channel blows up!
Solid recommendations, some I would recommend along the same lines: 1) Pocket knife (ZT, Benchmade, CRK) 2) Lighter (Douglass) 3) Leather Jacket (Schott, Flat Head) 4) Swiss watches (Hamilton, Omega, Rolex etc) 5) A good anti-aliasing filter on your camera ;)
A good pair of English Goodyear welted shoes from Loake , Cheaney or Crocket & Jones. Looked after properly they will last 10+ years. Plus good Cedar shoe trees.
In The Netherlands: Suitsupply entry level suit (S110's) = 279€ + Tailor is around 60€. No idea why tailoring is so expensive in America but for my body type this is a much better deal. Very high quality video btw.
as long as you find a suit (jacket) that fits in the shoulders, the tailoring shouldn't cost that much. arms and trousers length - about 60€. I would say, this is what you would pay in a regular tailor shop in Vienna too. in case there is more to do round the shoulders, the length of the jacket might be a problem etc. then it does make a huge difference. and paying about 100-150,- for that kind of tailoring for a suit on about 250-300,- that usually doesn't look proper too long - esp. when worn regularly. that is just too much money for tailoring . you probably are lucky considering shoulders back and size etc. my partner doesn't wear that often suits, but if he would want to avoid too much tailoring, he would have to buy Italian brands or much better, directly in Italy. his size fits more to Italians. then only minor changes are needed.
PS: As far as I know, in the US it does not only depend on the state and city you live in and what kind of tailors you can find in your surrounding, it also depends on, which one of the existing ones you prefer or dear to go to. there are some districts with either immigrants or US citizens, with migration in their family history, that offer the job to fair prices. but some either don't trust them, because they fear, they would not treat you as a valued customer, as you don't pay that much anyway, or they just feel a barrier to go to them. where I live (Vienna/Austria) some male friends tell me, they love to go to the Turkish tailor shops and even barber shops. they find, they do the job just as well to a much better price. others fear to get standardized service and don't see, that they can explain themselves, the service they came for etc. I think, there are shops with different price ranges everywhere. maybe one still just considers a higher price range as accessible.((Vienna: shorten trousers: 10,- (seen in a tailor shop and also that price seen in a store charged for the same service) 15,- and once I even saw the same service for 30,-. the last tailor did look exclusive I must add))
One of my favorite denim brands is Naked and Famous out of Montreal Canada. They buy premium Japanese denim, but sew the jeans in Canada to provide a slightly more affordable Japanese selvedge denim jean at under $200. Also, they have all sorts of crazy denim blends include kevlar, steel, very heavy weights (32oz), as well as interesting collaborations. I think I now own 5 pairs, but I really appreciate each one, and since I work in a more casual environment, I get to wear jeans daily.
I made my own jean with modern denim, 7 years ago. Still wearing them. Denim weight is as much of a factor as the loom it was woven on. But still, most jeans last more than a year.
The Roja Dove is a friend of mine. If you get a chance to go to his boutique on the top floor of Harrod's - do so. It's pronounced Ro-Ja - soft 'J', not Ra-Ja.
Really? My friend Josie, who works at Osswald in NYC and has vast amounts of knowledge of niche perfumes, pronounced it the way I did. If you’re a personal friend of Mr. Dove, then you probably know best!
I typically pay $20 - $40 for my jeans, and I have a bunch of them. I also get my Dockers for less than $25. They last long enough, and I get to switch up a lot. I like to keep my money in the bank.
I really enjoed this video and couldn't agree more. You get what you pay for. I have had my Goyard card holder for over a year and it still looks brand new. Also I just ordered my first Frank Clegg item. Thanks for the great content and you have really been killing it lately. Great work!
He Spoke Style I just ordered a shrunken bison wallet but I’m sure it will be the first of many. Needed something bigger than my card holder. I checked out the Belgian Mr Casual shoes and they look awesome. Can you do a styling video with the pairs you have?
I agree in some cases. The Levi’s 511s you see me wearing in many of the outfit videos are not selvedge. They’re also not $40. I’m talking more about mall brands. And I’ve tried them. I’ve found the denim to be thin and doesn’t last. Appreciate you chiming in.
Jean's last for a long time mall brand I am talking about dont buy 20 dollar Jean's at old navy if thsts all can afford it's ok they last pretty well but are thin prob wont last to long 60 dollar Jean's or 100 dollar Levi's banana republic guess when price drop get one buy one if need to they will last a long time dont put in dryer was inside out they should last a long time not every one has 300 dollars blow one pair Jean's
5 pair of jeans will always be more cost effective than 1 pair. It's simple: 5 different styles, 5x less wash cycles on each jean, and if something catastrophic happens (eg: paint over spray, spilling ink/wine/coffee, somehow tears doing freak accident...) you have 5 more chances. It's rare that you ever pay 2x the price and get 2x the quality. It never scales proportionally. I would never argue you could save money with a very high-end product. It rarely ever happens. It's the mid-tier products that fit this category the best (most "worth it").
I disagree about the SuitSupply comments... the made to measure guy at the Uptown Dallas shop has fitted me with off the rack suits that were near perfect!
On that note though, I think a proper chelsea or other zip-up boot like the Saint Laurent Wyatts are worth every penny Small leather goods like an LV wallet as well, custom jewlery from a jewler (not tiffanys)
Cole Bruce I don’t have experience with those Saint Laurent boots so I can’t really comment. They got a lot of hype on Instagram a couple years ago, which kind of turned me off. Do you have a pair? Are they really a very high quality? Curious to know. Agree re small leather good. Goyard and Faure Lepage are fantastic.
@@hespokestyle Yeah for leather goods I have an Epi leather LV cardholder and i smile everytime I pull it out, a nice coach duffle and Boss briefcase and passport holder, all great products. And it;s still snowing here in cnaada so I haven't really taken out the boots, however I got them treated and a thin vibram sole put on underneath to preserve them for years to come. The fit and finish is minimalist and yet so well executed. The smell and quality of the leather is there and the construction is great. What got me was when i unzipped them and slipped my foot in, I'm sure they use supply calf leather - and in a chat with a friend apparently Saint Laurent value for leather and footwear is amongst the top heavy hitters. They very comofrtable to wear as well - just like the SLP 01 Low top sneakers they make. THose are also incredibly made
Let's do the economics. You can buy 2 pairs of jeans at 200€ each and use them for 5 years or buy 3377 40€ jeans and replace them every year ...... My 40€ jeans have a durability of 3-5 years like the 200€ or like the 1000€.
A lot of luxury brands make their clothes with cheap labor in developing countries. It's kind of cheating. They are still charging premium prices. A luxury brand that is not at all like them, and has ethical and applaudable local production still in their home village, supporting their local community with restorations and so on, is the Italian brand Brunello Cucinelli. Expensive, very expensive, but still worth checking out.
It depend on the cloth itself. You need top know where to look for in quality. I have stock up two coat make by the same company but one is small size so I found out that bigger one do used less detail in some area but the tread is stronger.
Thoughts on the brand “Eleventy”? Also 100% agree on Aesop products. I thought $70 on a face serum was expensive but it’s honestly my favorite, the best I’ve had, and honestly lasts a long time.
Totally agree on MTM suits and Frank Clegg. I don't think people realize that going MTM adds a slight cost but results in a much better fit than off the rack. As for Frank Clegg, I love the quality leather, the fact that it's made in Mass, and that it isn't covered in logos that draw attention to their products (see Louis Vuitton or Coach). As for shoes, I've been extremely happy with Magnanni. Extremely good quality at a reasonable price point for good dress shoes. Good video, Brian!
Over the years, I have had extremely good quality with Oxxford made to measure, and Brioni made to measure. I own bespoke suits from Saville Row, by Gieves and Hawkes, and Joseph. They are like wearing artwork. While expensive, they are values when one thinks I've owned these suits for over two decades, and they look as good as the day I picked them up in London. That makes them more than competitive with department store ready-to-wear. The right bespoke ends up being an heirloom item.
I absolutely love your channel , bought my datejust 36mm whitegold after watching your channel. Hope to own a patek nautilus 5711 soon. Joseph cheaney & sons bootmaker makes excellent shoes. Check it out.
$300 for cologne is absurd. Actually so absurd it should be insulting to ones intelligence. It never ceases to amaze me how some people into “luxury” goods will convince themselves that almost anything is worth the price.
He Spoke Style - no, but that is not the point. Unless that stuff cures cancer there is no legit reason for it costing $300 other than that is what the company thinks some people are willing to pay. The subject of this video is expensive things that are worth it. It is well known that colognes and perfumes are some of the most overpriced products in the world. Some famous manufacturers have admitted that the liquid in the bottle is 6% or less of the cost. The rest is marketing, packaging, ....and MARKUP. There are certain things I’m comfortable paying high prices for if it means quality...like nice shoes, suits, even watches (though they notoriously have excessive margins). But $300 for a bottle of liquid fragrance...sorry, I can’t. I would feel like the manufacturer was laughing at me and high five ing in some boardroom saying “sucker!” I really like your channel and videos, I just think some of the subject matter in this one doesn’t fit the title. splashofscent.com/perfume-expensive/
You are right. Most fragrances are watered down. "Some", like brands in this video, have a higher volume/saturation of the quality ingredients, and the rarity. A lot of fragrances are also filled with filler ingredients that are harmful to the environment and to the person themselves. Like with everything else, the investment's value is in the eye (and choice) of the beholder.
Look spend 10 bucks on his sample of few super expensive ones dont wear umm all time I have few regular colognes I dont wear them all the time I have enough to last forever never spend 300 100 is even bit high wait to catch sale if you like one fancy ones grab sample every so often
What about a nice watch? I think as one of the only accessories/jewelry a man can wear, a classy luxury watch is a must have for any modern gentleman! I’d say every guy needs a dress watch, sports watch, and beater!
I have pretty cheap but good looking jeans for about 50 Euros and they are still good after 5 years. I dont really care about parfums, but I own a few which are pretty good. Suits: I would love to have atlaest 1 awesome suit... sadly I dont have enough money to buy a good one ;(
WasserTipps Great about the jeans. I have less expensive pairs-my Levi’s 511s-that have lasted very long. However, they really don’t feel the same as a well worn in pair of selvedge.
Same, i do have perfume that more than 10 years old and it still smell very good. Since I only wear them when go to formal event.(A lot of my old one they not selling it anymore.) My dad cheap one just gone bad.
JOK Yes. The pair of 511s I wear often in outfit videos are also about 10 years old. Kind of exceptional. I will say that they don’t quite feel the same as a well worn in pair of selvedge though. Thanks for the comment.
In day and age where inexpensive is synonymous with good, you have an uphill battle with most. For those of us who are 'aware', your video is very welcome.
I agree to a point about bespoke tailoring ,however as long as you do your research and you can purchase a good canvased /half canvased suit and have it adjusted by a good tailor and it will look as good as a bespoke suit on most people .Yes bespoke in general is the best way to go if you can afford it i myself saved up many years ago and had a suit made by a well known London tailor and although it is a great suit i can honestly say that my off the peg suit collection looks and fits just as well but each to his own i guess.Great video as usual cheers.
Love it all. There is something very particular about all of your trousers - they have such a clean straight silhouette, but do so without looking dated or at all baggy. Are these trousers custom, and if so, what do you ask for to get that look?
Thanks, John! That's a great video topic. I will add that to the queue. Most of my trousers are custom made. I'll have to get with Cory from MAB to get my exact measurements!
While I agree with the point of the video and prefer buying high quality items ,The math is a little apples and orange in the beginning, if the cheap 40$ denim wears out after one year its not 40*5, buying 5 pairs of those just ot get to the price of one APC is a choice, not a comparable
Cole Bruce That whole bit, along with the math, was based on an argument I had with a friend when I bought my first pair of A.P.Cs about six or seven years ago. He couldn’t believe I paid that much. And then I asked him how many pairs he had, how much they cost, and how often they needed to be replaced. So totally based on a real conversation. I didn’t make that up arbitrarily.
Selvedge denim is a japanese invention so old pair of Levi's will not be selvedge. Secondly it is not a trend but rather a extra detail that not only improves the quality of the jean but also the aesthetic.
Good video, however very American-centered. As a European with significant experience from North America, I can agree with several items on the list. From our perspective there are many more European quality products we’d always rather go for. This is a matter of taste though.
All these are relative . Tell a farmer, chef or electrican to spend 300 on denim or thousands on a suit and i bet you would called out for being that ridiculous
A few random expensive products or brands which I think are worth the money: Apple HomePod, Hermès colognes (Equipage, in particular, elicits compliments), JM Weston Demi-chasse shoes, Icebreaker apparel, Brooks sneakers, Quartz Co. down coats, Zelens skincare, Biologique Recherche P50 skin toner, Biologique Recherche shampoos, IC Berlin eyewear, IQ Air room purifier
Really liked the content and opinions in the video but everything is American. How about something for people living in Europe? Paying duties for American products is up to 50% of their value
Having done both sides of every point, let me offer an alternative view. Uniqlo has selvedge stretch denim that goes for 50-70/pair. If you're going to be okay with 1 colorway of APCs, then the analog would be 1 color of other denim. The uniqlos last 1.5 years for me easily. Custom fragrances - plenty of less popular department store brands exist but I can agree w just buying one expensive one. It's just hard to calibrate your taste when you're new. Custom suit - I own a tailored full canvassed suit. I rarely wear it, and canvas' primary attribute is that it looks good even after tons of wears. Fused suits are fine if you wear your suit 5-10 times a year. Your Fused suit will easily last 30-40 wears and good deals on Fused suits = $160 at Macy's or less when on sale. Spend the extra on tailoring. Leather goods - buy good stuff on sale, but owning 3 similar bags of extremely high quality can get boring. Sometimes lower end stuff is easier to swallow when you wanna get rid of it and replace for a new style. Skincare - aesop is awesome but a lot of Skincare simply comes down to essentials like good diet w omega 3, vitamin e and consistent use of sunscreen. Aesop is a luxury purchase and the real benefit with their products is a great aesthetic look on your bathroom shelf and a nice smell. Shoes... Depends on your work. Get some Goodyear welt stuff for leather shoes you actually wear often. Avoid corrected grain leather. That's all there is to it.
Maxx's World define “good”. You may lack the authenticity of real fades with stretch denim but you can buy stretch in just about any distressed pattern, and solids. You can also try way more fits (super skinny w 5 inch ankle openings is doable) without sacrificing comfort. I used to like selvedge raw but I think most of my friends and I have largely moved on. Comfort is just something not worth sacrificing for 2 years of denim wear.
Perfume-Cartier, Amouage, Malle or direct from Dubai perfumers Dubai Mall. Leather jacket Belstaff Hamper Fortnum and Masons Pen Mont Blanc(fountain pen) Magazines country life, world of interiors, radio times.
question: if you say, have one shoulder lower, or one shoulder bigger than the other -- would the custom suit reflect that? would the shoulder on the smaller side be "built up" so that both shoulders are equal size, or would the tailor basically follow the contours of your body, and your suit would be lopsided, or non-symmetrical, but "fit?" Thanks. Good channel.
Discovered your videos a few weeks ago and have to say you’re one of the best men’s fashion/lifestyle guys on RU-vid! I’m amazed you don’t have more subscribers. I’m just wondering what you see as good options for MTM suits ~1000? You have some amazing looking suits/evening wear but I’m guessing they were more expensive than that (and some bespoke instead of MTM). Thanks!
I would recommend trying out independent perfumery especially those made in USA. There's a lot of good work coming out and they tend to be more fairly priced and ethical then the 'masstige' options. One house that I have been impressed by is Hans Hendley, which is made in Brooklyn. My favourite from that house is Bourbon. The other one i like is Bruno Fazzolari (based in San Francisco) although he has a bit of a 70s sensibilities which may not suit everyone's taste. D&S Durga is another option too, i think they just opened a boutique in NYC.
He Spoke Style Yes, I’ve tried a few of the popular ones like santal 33 and Noir 29. Too synthetic leaning for my taste and I find it very overpriced now (I think they were cheaper in the past, but could be wrong).
LC King Manufacturing..since 1913... real selvedge jeans....about $185....they have "ridged denim" carpenter pants for a little less also. Original workman styles.
Of course, everybody has his/her favorites. Ludwig Reiter is a family owned company from Vienna, Austria and makes unbelievable shoes, belts, cases, etc. And you can order shoes in sizes 12 1/2, 13, 13 1/2. Prices for Derby shoes are around €700 and a bit more for Chelsea Boots, €200 for belts. Ludwig Reiter products are expensive, but the leather is in my opinion very rich and the money is very well spent. I have 2 suits from Scabal, which is a fabric manufacturer. I am 6’4 and and it is frustrating to look for a suit with a great fabric in my size. I order them made to measure, which for me has a good value. The fabrics are rich, the suits are well made. At the end of the day, spending more than €2’000 for a suit is a lot of money, but I think they are worth it. Thank you Brian for your suggestions, even as I reply very late.
What makes good facial skincare good? I've tried many of the more expensive products and in the end, can't tell a difference using regular soap like Dove and a grocery store moisturizer such a Nivea. Could you please elaborate or possibly a single video on the subject.
For high quality, fully handcrafted shoes I would also recommend Meermin and Carmina. Meermin is relatively cheap in the 100 to 200 dollar price range, but they are high quality and fully handcrafted. They are able to keep their price low because the owners' family have a long history of shoe making in Mallorca, and they brought their wealth of resources, technical know how, and skills to China and taught the locals how to make shoes the traditional way. (Materials are still sourced from Europe) As a result they end up with a shoe that is the same quality as local Mallorca made shoes, but at a fraction of overhead cost. Carmina is a sister company to Meermin (sister as in they share the same ancestry, but in terms of actual business they are not related at all), that specializes in Cordovan shoes around the 700 to 1000 dollar price range. Cordovan shoes are virtually indestructible when under reasonable use, and they can maintain their luster forever if well taken care of.
I've gotten half canvassed suiting for $250 and less. I got a bonobos blazer shipped nwot from ebay for $60 -- yes, half canvassed, marzotto wool, pretty decent. I like my Black Lapel suit more, but... You can get good deals under $250. (And some guys just have to).
I found a pair of selvedged denim jeans worth 790Php which is equivalent to about 15$ on sale in Uniqlo. It was the last one there and it fit me perfectly.
2:06 I have $40 jeans that are +eight years old. And they look great! Maybe it is your washing machine or your detergent. 😅 Where are you buying $40 jeans that last 1 only year? 😅😅😅
I think the cheap Chinese office chair you bought out of college needs an upgrade. Try Steelcase, made in the USA durable, and worth every hour you’re sitting down. Otherwise, look at Herman Miller if you care more about image than comfort, but just as long lasting. Think of it this way, $250 suit, $250 chair. $800 suit, $800 chair.
Buy a pair of jeans that fits you PERFECT. Buy a fragrance that smells in your skin over 5 hrs. Buy a nice black polo tshirt with proper length buy a shirt that is perfect in your body a nice watch a pair of shoes sneakers or casual but be aware casual or dress shoes MUST BE EXPENSIVE AND HANDMADE
Currently top six luxury goods that can last a lifetime, are timeless and worth their money : 1) House/Villa 2) Porsche 911 (original 964, 993, etc) or modern GT3 / GT3 RS or Singer Porsches cars 3) Steel Rolex Daytona, GMT, Submariner watches 4) High end ZEISS lenses depending on your gear's brand 5) Fallkniven knives like the F1 pro for example6) Affliction Leather Jackets or Icon Leather Jackets (top quality top looks for a fair price) These are luxury low maintenance products you can use daily and are worth their money possibly for a lifetime not just for a few months like most luxury products :-)
Leica lenses are amazing and with Zeiss the best lenses on the market, A very effective and good budget lense: Mitakon 50mm F 0.95. Thank you for the feedback I appreciate.
Disagree with the watch and I got a Daytona. Grand Seiko SBGA031 to me beats it hands down. This watch is such high quality (price be damn) that I have not worn my Daytona much ever since I got it.
Look...I think there's a lot of validity in what you're saying but being rich does distort what value you means to you. If you're able to honestly spring money for 5 figure luxury mechanical watches and 3-4 figure suits, it's safe to say you're in the top 1-.1% % of wealthy people in this nation. My list would be more like spring for an OLED TV from LG, a good CPO car from say Toyota, good vacuum cleaner (Milee or Ricar), a costco membership, a few good shoes in the low 3 figure range, a good mattress and pillow, and stuff that actual people can justify. That doesn't mean that your recommendations aren't good for say normal people, but I'd say use that money to invest in the stock market and work on a FIRE type lifestyle.
Big fan here, but I think one of the problems I have with this, is that many of the items you mention are easily aquired second hand, i can get brand new or barely used selvedge jeans from APC for like 50 or 60$. Same with suits, many people are a fan of suitsupply, and I know it is easy to afford these suits used at a very reasonable price.
john c Thanks, John. Good point about looking on the second hand market. If you have the time and patience, it’s a great option. Suitsupply is a great option but they upsell you ridiculously on the alterations.
This is the second of your videos that I’ve watched. It’s far easier to get quality when you set an extremely high budget. And as I’d noticed from another commenter, the word luxury (vs quality) seems to be the greater focus here. Pretentiousness is not my aim
You don't know much about fragrances or skin products. Fragrances are a total rip off. They are "aspirational" products for people who cannot afford the brand's more expensive offerings such as clothing. Fragrances that retail for the stupendous prices of $150-$400 cost about $10-25 a bottle to make. The rest of the price is all in marketing costs. Same thing is true for skin care products. You'd be better off to find a good dermatologist who will give you prescription creams, laser treatments and fillers or whatever you need. If you have mediocre skin you can improve it but you cannot make it look great. However if you have great skin, you can ruin it with sun, drinking, failure to look after it. You can alter a ready made or made to measure suit until the year 3000 and it will never look like a bespoke suit. Unless the armholes are cut for your body alone, you will never look really look rich. Tom Ford suits are overpriced fashion suits factory made by Zegna, a medium to upper level line very overpriced at $4500 and up. You are right about Belgian loafers. Brown suede is a popular choice.
I buy expensive jeans as well, 200-400 range. BUT, I only buy edgy/fashionable designs that draw attention. I never buy expensive ones just because it is made of some whatever quality material. No one gives a damn. In case I would rather buy a 30 dollar Zara. Suits are out of style dude. Do not spend your wealth on suits. I don’t see why it’s still discussed in men fashion. Most men don’t need to wear suits in their work and it’s not a secret young hot women don’t like suit style. It shouts “I work very hard and I am boring!”.
Try Tom Ford Vert des Bois (Mediterranean fougere-esque) and Tiziana Terenzi Laudano Nero (gothic balsamic, often compared to black afgano), they're really unique and might not be to everyone's taste but if someone wants to smell really unique then please do try these. I had 10ml decants of each and it took me weeks to appreciate but once I start understanding them, I was so much in love that I had to purchase both. P.S. I think Vert des Bois is discontinued but if you search around you just might find a bottle.
Hi Great video, I need help finding a black slim fit jeans that don't fade and stays black as long as possible. I own 3 pairs of black Selvedge Denim Jeans, but just after 6 month the black color starts to fade away. Any recommendation?
So I'm 19 years old and wanna buy a suit, I don't have the shoes and a good quality shirt and in total if I buy a suit made to measure I will probably spend 1000 euros for everything but if I buy something for example on suitsuply o will probably spend arround 600 in total. What should I do? I'm 19 years old and don't work in finance or anything like that, I just want a nice fit suit.
will those APL jeans realy last longer? I have no car and ride a lot with my bicycle. For me 150$ Levis last the same than 30$ Pull&Bear. Btw i love my cheap 30$ fragrance and friends and girls compliment it a lot.
